dude you hit me with a double barelled broadside. No worries, I know you were caught up in the heat of the moment. Thanks for the raincoat info...........MfSD.
I'm sure some of you watched this morning as the Iraqi people started to come out of their homes, realizing that their long nightmare is over.
While watching our Troops assist the people of Iraq pull down that huge statue of Saddam, I drifted off to those moments in 1989 when the Berlin Wall started to crumble. I wonder what those who oppose this war are thinking while watching the people of Iraq stomping the Image of Saddam and singing We Love You to our Soldiers?
I know the purpose for the war was to remove Saddam and destroy the WMD, but personally, to see these people tasting Freedom for the first time in decades, for some for the first time in their lives, I believe this Freedom and Liberty our noblest cause!
To any of our Soldiers who may read this, REMEBER BERUIT! Watch your six, and come home safely and soon to your heroes welcome!
SHA NA NA NA, SHA NA NA NA, HEY SADAAM GOOD BYE!
Proud to be an American and don't feel so bad about paying my taxes next week. Pray for our troops in Iraq, the killing isn't over, but the bad guys are on the run.

Unfortunately, I fit fine in the Trojans!
Was it a real question or just a boast? lol

I wore the uniform once upon a time, and have tremendous respect and pride for what the US and British troops have, and are doing........or better yet, go out, find an escort and get laid, you sound a bit tense. MfSD.
OK, I was being a little sarcastic. I suggest we both go out to get laid to celebrate freedom and the USA.
As to your condom question, I bring my own condums to providers. I us the Maximum brand, not becuase I am well endowed, but because I like the loose fit on my slightly over average Little Luvswomen.

I to agree 100%. It's not over yet by any means...not the war, & most certainly not the peace.
But the scenes today only served, for me at least, to show the main reason this war was necessary...the liberation of a long-oppressed people. Once they felt free of repraisals their real feelings so vidvidly & passionately expressed should be justification enough for what we've done. The civilian casualties are certainly regretable, as are the loss of our own people. But never in history has a war been waged with such care & regard for the lives of innocent people. According to the latest Iraqi soures 1252 such people have died, yet fairness dictates that must be balanced by the hundreds of thousands that have died at the hands of Saddam's brutal regime...& how many more might have died who are now spared.
If they were to somehow allow their feelings of humanity to override any other personal interests, I wonder how Chirac, Putin, & Schroeder might be feeling as they watch ordinary Iraqis taking to the streets to celebrate?
I'm personally glad we didn't listen to the French, Russians, & Germans. Even if the WMD were all proven destroyed, that murderous regime would have been left in power where they would be free to torture & kill thousands as they've done even since Saddam came into power. In that sense the WMD were secondary IMO.
The ultimate outcome of the war was certainly a foregone conclusion, it's what now lies ahead that is critical & can impact the entire region & beyond. It's a huge 'if' but if we, obviously with the help of others, can somehow manage to bring a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict then the region will know a stability it hasn't seen since the exodus of the Jewish refugees to the area at the conclusion of WWII. How we achieve that, realizing there will always be the Osama bin Laden's & others of his ilk who would be without a job if they couldn't stir up hatred, is the larger problem.
- George Walker Bush, State of the Union, 2003.
Today US and the coalition of willing got the undisputed affirmation from the Iraqi people that they act as a force for liberation.
Even though USA have many faults. For the last 103 years, this amazing country has been a beacon of hope and liberator of most of the world. Luckily, providence has given this country the means and leaders the will to carry out the most noblest cause of all - defender of the weak and liberator of the oppressed. (Disclaimer: I am just a spiritual person, not affliated with any organized religion.)
Regardless of whether one liked or disliked Bush and the current adminstration, one has to acknowledge that something good has been done in this war: http://www.scalzi.com/whatever/ .
I always enjoy your posts, very informative and balanced.
This is your best yet!

just like FOX news LOL. MfSD......sorry B rite, couldn't resist ( :
Yeah, like Fox News.
I have to admit, Fox has seemed to bend over backwards in support of our troops on this war, and I have no problem with that.
I have switched between Fox and MSNBC for my coverage. Its always good to see what the opposition is doing. MSNBC seems to have bent over backwards the other way.
I think Fox for the most part if fair and balanced. Like Fox News Sundays with Tony Snow. How many other Sunday shows have two conservatives and two liberals doing the interviewing and counterpoint?
Yea, I like the Hume or Snow segments with Fred Beetle Barnes, Kondracke, Willams, Kristol(my favorite conservative, and a guy I've met), Dr. Strangelove(Charles Krauthammer), and that lady from NPR(Mara something or other, who I've also met once).
Both FOX and MSNBC (CNBC too) had riveting news pieces from the front, and I agree FOX does cheerlead for the troops.
But FOX is by and large a right leaning media outlet. Nothing wrong with that, particularly after all of the hulabaloo about the "alleged" liberal media bias. MfSD.
See that is what I like about you, you are fair, if sometimes somewhat unbalanced (lol).
I would argue that (other than the war coverage) Fox is extremely balanced, its just that you are so used to the liberal slant that anything other than Dan Rather ("alleged" liberal media bias" indeed) seems overly conservative.
Interesting though how Fox's ratings keep climbing (and CNN and Rather's keep falling), I have a hope that the country is moving in my direction.

Well the FOX babes certainly bring in the male viewer for starters. That blonde in the morning has legs to die for ( : Tabloid style media is a Murdoch trademark.
Rarely watch network news, Rather, Brokaw, Jennings. It is a not so much a matter of being desensitized by "liberal" slant, it's more a matter of being very well informed on the political scene (and opinionated of course) from sources the "average" American is not privy too. And on that note.......MfSD.
I never thought you would take a shot at Fox for having good taste in women. IMHO they have a few babes, but are offset by some real bowsers. Greta for example.
And I am sure that your "sources the "average" American is not privy too" are fair and balanced! Somehow however, as I cogitate on this, I suspect they may be from the left side of the aisle.
Thanks for the chat, as always, I enjoyed it.
Man I think Greta is hotttt...........my sources are from both sides of the aisle, but my interests tend to be supported more by Dems than Reps. That said, I have to work with them both ( : Con mucho gusto.........MfSD.
news readers and reporters. Jennifer Eccleston, Heather Nauert of FNC and Natalie Morales of MSNBC really caught my eyes. Laurie Dhue and Kiran Chetry are pretty too although their makeups and hairdos are not very consistent day in, day out.
Yea, but you don't see those legs nearly as much on other networks, as you do on the FOX network.
Look, I wasn't born yesterday, and appreciate the female form as much as the next guy. But FOX draws male viewers in by offering up titillating images of their female employees. Laurie "lips" Dhue, and the leggy blonde who helps anchor their morning show, nothing on TV news remotely approaches it.
Another tabloid style Murdoch media production. Hey, God bless him, he's made millions and created thousands of jobs for Americans in the news biz. MfSD.
some members including myself watch them and MSNBC, much more than the tired CNN ![]()
