Just had my first truly bad experience with a provider. I decided to go up a notch and spend $$$ which is well above my norm since the pics were so extremely hot and she has one review which is very good. Provider arrived and only vaguely looked like the pics, but not horrible. So decided to make the best of it and pointed her to the envelope. Shortly after she indicated the fee was just to show up. If I wanted anything good it would be several hundred more. Didn't have it, wouldn't pay it, but arranged to give her the couple Jacksons I had left to do a topless dance and me take care of my self. Too upset to finish so she just left after a few minutes.
As much as I'm sure the Police would have loved my story I didn't call. My head tells me to chalk it up as a loss, a TOFTT, and that any cash to a new provider is like cash on a craps table. This story is not so different than dozens of others I read on this site, but man it is hard to overcome. Especially since the amount is substantial for me.

Any other time I'd say put some distance between you and the session so that you could reflect upon it accurately and in a gentlemanly way...but this girl straight up robbed you.
Convey that emotion by writing an accurate review quickly...but unfortunately, sometimes that is the business and there is no guarantee she will suffer for that.
My boyfriend dated another escort once who is still currently a provider. In the door for $200...upsells up to $800. Has at least three disjointed profiles that I've seen that no one has connected the dots on. She is very attractive so she gets away with it and continues to change names and numbers virtually monthly.

Very likely you called an agency who sent out a girl that wasn't the girl you talked to on the phone. If you do that, you will inevitably find yourself in a situation where you will say that the phone girl said one thing, and the girl will say that she wasn't the phone girl, so whatever she promised you isn't what she offers.
Sorry to hear that, but this is a lesson you and many others like you have had to learn (I'm one of those guys). This is the world's oldest profession, and when you combine a horny guy with a pocketful of cash going to see a girl who is offering sex for that money, there are all sorts of things that can horribly wrong.
Your outcome isn't that bad. You coulda walked into a robbery, which has happened before.
You would be, frankly, stupid to go to the police. That's like going to the police and saying that you got robbed by a drug dealer.
All you can do is write this one off and make sure you do your research in the future for the next one.

I once had someone show up who was not the woman in the photos, upsell me to the tune of almost a thousand dollars, and then steal my laptop and phone when I was in the bathroom (she had one of those giant purses; walked right out with my stuff in front of me). Her phone number turned out to be a Google number that disappeared.
Brazen chick. I had to give her credit for that.
If she isn't the girl in the ad, cancel. If she upsells, cancel. These little frauds mean she's open to bigger ones.

I think you have to offer a base service before you have an upsell. Offered nothing other than walking in the door for the fee. I consider this a pure ROB.

Ok, first write the review. Keep it brief, mention the other review but state, "while other reviewers may have had a positive experience, I did not, so YMMV."
As to how to avoid this, read on. Bear in mind, sometimes the photos are just too good, or the description is what you are looking for, and ligit providers have to start somewhere, and with someone! So, you roll the dice - I've done that - sometimes it works, and sometimes not. However, if there is a single review, and it seems too good to be true, check out the reviewer - see if he is legit. Does he have tons of "single" reviews, that is for the gals he reviews, is his the only review - bad sign and a warning flag. Also, is this his "only review" ever? Again, warning flag. Take the providers phone # and search on TER, see if multiple providers use that phone #, if they do, warning flag.... and finally use Tineye - to search her pictures, if from a picture depository, warning flag... if she is the only one using that picture, she is probably ok (no guarantee, but better than being marketed in hong kong, london, paris, chicago, and miami all at once).
As I say, sometimes it is really nice to be "first" with a great provider, and that has happened to me.... at other times, you can TOFTT, cause as I say, when a provider starts, someone has to be "first."

I think giving her the fee upfront is so much the norm that you can't really stray from that without creating problems.
The girl not in the pictures. It's remotely possible it was a heavily heavily touched up pictures of her from 10-15 years ago. She wasn't fugly or anything. Just a 6 against pics that were of a 10. If she had provided good service it would have been worth it. But perhaps the pic vs reality ratio should be a condition of handing over the cash.
The other reviewer has many other reviews from the last few years. But unless they're all fakes, I don't understand his review of Janie from Phoenix. There is no way this same provider could have provided a good experience.
I do cross reference the phone and google everything in the adds, but I'll try tineye for the pics.

She either wrote that first review herself, or had her pimp do it. TER needs to know about rip offs, so there is a flag on that profile with a big red "RIP OFF!" Don't ever see a girl with just one review...even 5 is not enough unless those 5 are from ESTABLISHED hobbyists.
It's a reviewer you trust either because he wrote one of another girl you've seen that matches your experience, or he has multiple reviews with a varied point spread.

Oh all kinds of thoughts entered my head. I wanted my money back. Of course the calling the police comment was a joke. Of course there is no remedy there. But where is the remedy she has the money in her purse? Can't get it back without getting physical and that's not a realistic option. So what to do?
Is there a reason the OP could not have grabbed the envelope and walked out? Is there somehing that says you HAVE to pay her if she does not match her pictures or upsells services when you get there. For $$$ I would think that a BJ and sex are minimum requirements.

As far as services are concerned, I have only ever paid for COMPANIONSHIP. Other stuff often happens consistent with the fanciful accounts described in TER Reviews. That's why being TER VIP and sticking to well reviewed providers is the best advice.
I suppose it was an option to not let her in the door based on the pic vs reality discrepancy, but she was ok enough to enjoy if she had been a good provider.
Then I only got the bad news after the envelope was in her possession. So then what? I don't think I was going to talk her into giving it back. Crooks don't have consciences. I'm not going to wrestle her for it. I think it is likely she had security nearby, but either way I'm in a hotel. The risk of creating a disturbance is too high and they know it.
Unless somebody has a brilliant suggestion here, I think once the money is in her hands and hidden away somewhere, she has the power to do good or evil from there on out.

What really surprises is me is that I hear this same story from gents who know about ter or similar review sites and have been longtime members and still get sucked into the upsell.
Sounds like a classic bait and switch agency there are a lot of them out in vegas I am sure there are some in other cities but it is ridiculous out here.
There is a very simple solution to avoid this do your research!
If a provider has one good review IMO that is not enough to make a reasonable decision that the provider is going to deliver as promise.
Unless,you are one of those gents who like to toftt then that is a different story.
But,making sure a provider has a review history from reputable gents can go a long way to insure your satisfaction.
Gents fall for the hot pics all of the time and the provider arrives or he comes to her and the provider is not the same as the pictures.Most of the times the gent still goes through with the session and guaranteed damn near 100% of the time he leaves disappointment.
As far as mentioning police well that is a joke.
You encountered an upsell just like many other gents before you and others this will happen to because they do not take the time to research.Post a review that is all you can do and move on make a better choice next time.

Phoenix actually. I searched and searched for info on her, but not a lot out there. The TER review was very good from an experienced reviewer, but indeed it was a single review. I probably did get hung up on the airbrushed pics, but thought it was a reasonable risk going in.
Yes the police remark was a joke. I knew as soon as she refused to let me speak to her supervisor there would be no recourse.
