Re: asking for DoB. That's SOP at a lot of places. I call and enter my info to the computer prompts before I even get a human voice. The human asks me for name, ID #, ... and DoB. "I just punched all of that in!" "Sorry, I need to confirm that it is you." Grrr ... Then I get transferred from Department A to Department B, it's the same routine: "Name? Rank? Serial #? DoB? ...). Grrr ...

I don't intend to rawdawg a provider - mostly because of number different partners they cycle through in a short period of time.  Even someone who has only has 1 or 2 appointments in a week (real low volume)  will potentially cycle through a dozen  of different men in a quarter.  

It's a lot of responsibility and takes a lot of sacrifice to raise kids into responsible adults. It's just not something I want to spend my 40s and 50s doing..  It may sound selfish but. I'd rather have no kids than be a bad father.

I fully believe that if you prefer to be childless, you should not feel pressured into procreation. I doubt you would end up being a bad father but life is too short to be committed to raising a child if you’d rather not.

About the procedure - I won't be doing it,but I think it's reversible if needs be. Figured  that if an under sixty I wouldn't have it and if am over,probably won't need it then. Will keep firing live round as long as possible. The blanks come with age, so why rush. But in your case ,at least you don't have to worry that those live round will either create a life or take one. Pun intended.

For me, there was absolutely no pain, not during nor after. I do not remember if they said to refrain from sex for a certain period of time, I was going through an ugly divorce and hated women so wasn't fucking anyway. But I probably could have the next day. My urologist is no longer here or I'd recommend him, he was great. At your age I too loved paying for it, and I make decent money so I would see 2-3 women a week. Wow, I was not told 25-30 ejaculations to clean my system out. I do not recall how long before I had to bring my load in to test it, but don't think it was quite that long. Mine tested clean but I was told I had low sperm count before that. The woman I was divorcing was trying to get pregnant and I was even going to pay for IVF, then the sky fell.
