Degrees of separation and P4P

Given the discrete nature of the hobby it's very possible for two guys who are acquaintances, work colleagues, friends, or even relatives in real life to have a lot more in common than they ever realize when you bring P4P into the picture.   Even if these two gents would happen to share a common provider, she generally would not be aware of their relationship in real life...still, this type of thing probably happens a lot more than we realize.  

Although coincidences of this type probably don't matter much in the big scheme of things, I'm curious if others have contemplated this in their own situation...feel free to share your observations and/or stories :)

years ago who both worked in the same building (in a city in which I did not reside). They did the same job, only for different companies. They both participated in the same online hobby community too. Neither were any the wiser, and unless someone else (less discreet) has had these same two exact clients and screened the same way, are probably still none the wiser today. One remains my client, the other pissed me off years ago and I ceased to be available to him.

I should say that neither were any the wiser as a result of my knowing this. They may have shared with each other, but I very much doubt that.

I learned thru a computer program (can't recall the name of it)that gave you the degrees of separation between various people you had contacted via email-found that not one other but two of us who worked together were bangin' the same escort !

A lot of the guys who participate are executives/chairmen/CEO of american corporations.  So if client 1 casually mentions a deal hes doing with a certain corporation, you may smile to yourself and think, "Oh, I know that guy."  This happens all the time

Met a lady years ago shortly after I began working at a new company nearby. She happened to let it slip that another client worked for the same company. It was never a problem as she was discreet. As you might imagine, I wondered who it might be as the company had few employees.
