TER General Board

Since the last poster basically used the term "Hooker"...

I was just wondering if most of you see a difference between quote a "Escort" and a "Hooker" and to be honest I have been with what I would term to be both. I will keep my view of this difference simple.

A "Escort" offers you a true experience, one to be remembered and cherished!

A hooker offers you a way to get off, one, done and a soon to be distant memory!

Don't get me wrong I have been with some very quality "Hookers" in my past and they do serve a purpose here especially for you guys looking for those quick "BNGS" LOL.

An escort is generally known as a call girl, or accompanies one to a place or through an experience. While we all know what a call girl is really doing, the escort/call girl neither advertises as a prostitute, nor is she on the streets. She is more organized, having a set up system and a schedule.

A hooker is a colloquial term for a prostitute… or slang. Really, the origin of the word points to more of a woman or man having the intent to seduce with the intent rob their prey. The word hooker puts a negative connotation on things if you go by what it really stands for.

I would think a woman who calls at the last minute asking for a gift card number after getting a guy all worked up for an appointment would be a true definition of a hooker lol.

To make it simple, hooker is slang.

The hooker who asked the john to pay for the session in advance with a gift card number was not a hooker.  That was a thief.

I use the term hooker in writing as it's easier to type out than prostitute.  And I don't like escort as that is nothing close to what a hooker is doing here.  Provider is also too long, but also inconsistent IMHO as hookers aren't yet covered as part of ACA.  Get that passed and I'll gladly call all the ladies providers.

When I use the term hooker on this board...it is not my intent to degrade any hooker here.  Simply a word to identify who I am discussing.  Same as for a john or trick.  Just a word that denotes who the discussion is about.

Amazing how temperamental so many are on this board.  And the level of intolerance is just as amazing.

As you posted...hooker is slang.  Nothing more.

I don't have a problem with the word, just putting information down. I deleted a part that said something along the lines of, "I hear ladies call themselves hookers all the time…" but I took it out for some reason. I could care less what someone calls me, as long as they know what it's about.

When I said, "I would think a woman who calls at the last minute asking for a gift card number after getting a guy all worked up for an appointment would be a true definition of a hooker lol." I was referring to "Really, the origin of the word points to more of a woman or man having the intent to seduce with the intent rob their prey. The word hooker puts a negative connotation on things if you go by what it really stands for."

If you'd like references from where I got that information from, I can post it… based on one thing it could mean, or where the word originated from, then a hooker was referred to as a thief, robbing men of their money. Does that mean that's what we think it means? Not at all. Again, the subject said, "I'll explain from a different angle." Not "I'll explain it from the correct angle."

It's not narrow minded, it's having a discussion.

But those that are indeed narrow minded.  YOU are not...I know that.

Too many here post up that the only way to do something is their way..anything else seems to be bizarre or weird.  And it doesn't seem like a minority opinion from my observations over the years.

Gambler has often commented how little tolerance so many seem to have in this world (as in P4P).  I echo that comment.  I find it incredibly myopic...given the game we ALL are playing here.

I guess I went off on a bit of a tangent in that post....I guess we'll have to do something about that  ;)

Hmmm… don't tease me right before I go to bed…

Now I forgot what we were even talking about lol

if "hooker is slang," than "escort" is a euphemism.  An escort is literally someone who accompanies another person.  And that's it. If I see you, you'll be doing one hell of a lot more than simply "accompanying" me, LOL!. And I'll do my best to make sure we both thoroughly enjoy it.

Yeah, what I meant was not what is actually said in my response, lol. I have children screaming in my ears today lol and I'm tired as hell.

Oh well, don't get your panties in a bind anyone. ;)

And want to be sissified.

I think they'd like to get their panties in a bind...and are willing to pay for it.

Oh...that was just an expression you were conveying  LOL

I'd actually be interested to see what I would feel like if I saw panties on a guy

I can take it.

You obviously should too if you paint a bullseye like this. Lol.

If you don't like the response , may I humbly suggest...

If I don't like a particular song on the radio, I change the channel.  Something else better will come on later.   I don't threaten to go all Medieval on the DJ or carp about burning down the station.

Yea, it's semantics.  I think we can all come up with examples, but in this one, the point was the opinion whether one term was a preferable or derogatory one.

Nouns: coke slut, ho, cum bucket, SW, stripper, hooker, prostitute, escort, provider, courtesan, mistress, girlfriend, SO, fiancee, wife, ex-wife with alimony, child support and a boyfriend.

Boil it all down to the bare naked fact of the matter, and you (generally) have a male providing consideration to (generally) a female in a transaction to facilitate the discharge of seminal fluid.
Except for the last one, in which you are REALLY just fucked dry over and over, again and again every month.

I think that anyone looking at the list of nouns would come up with a very different mental picture and expectations moving from one end to the other.

Gimmie your best shot there, ADJ!

Yes, I'll say "Escort" sounds more respectful than "Hooker."  But I happen to love hookers.  And that does not mean I like low end gals, as my reviews would prove it they weren't all fantasies, LOL.  To me, someone who's happy to refer to herself as a hooker totally owns her alternative lifestyle.  And I like that.  I like gals with dirty minds who love to fuck for money.  In other words, they love the money but they love to fuck, too.  They're just too smart to give it away for free.  Now THAT's a hooker! Gawd bless 'em!

If we really want to get technical, most women who use the internet to seek clients and have personal websites are not hookers by definition... they are prostitutes lol. See... hooker sounds waaaay better. I've been taken to dinner, trips, etc. and I still call myself a hooker, even though technically, that might not be right. Ask the modern housewife what she calls us, and I bet she says whore, hooker, prostitute... escort would rarely be used.
