During a conversation a with provider I'm cool with told me she was planning to leave "This Game" all together. I was happy to hear the plans she was telling me, and how everything was starting to come together for her in a legit way.
While we were talking she told me how busy she was having to send her resume out, and filling out applications for her particular field of study she wishes to work in. And even got to go into a few interviews.
Some where in the middle of the conversation, I asked "Can I give you a bit of advice?", and she accepted. I said, "When applying for jobs, and sending your resume out you might wanna get a different number for employers to call you for interviews." She asked, "Why would I need to do that?"
I let her know the career she was trying to get into, they usually conduct background checks, and the last thing you want to happen before or after getting into your field of professian is someone at your job to google that number, and all those ads pop up.
She had a surpise WTF look, and said "I never thought about that." Later she told me she now usues a relative home phone number on her job applications. She's under 23, so I guess that was just a life listen she needed to learn.
To providers looking filling out job applications, and sending your resume out seeking to get into a stable career, please use another phone number, and not the one you provide with.
Also recommend that she uses a different cell phone when checking into hotels.
She will be back as a provider. Many can never make the money they made as a provider. Some attractive ones have confided in me that they have trouble dating decent non hobbyist men. Funny that a john would treat them better than the average joe.
A few have told me that they consider the hobby as real dating. That is why they do GFE and get emotionally involved with the guys. Have a fit when they find out you are seeing other ladies.
I know a few who can never find decent jobs. Every time they apply for a job a back ground check is done and up comes there records resulting in not getting employed.
Depending on the field of employment one is looking for, you should get rid of all your social networking memberships, atleast suspend them for the duration. In certain field, your ability to keep your mouth shut is extremely important.
Be aware of the fact that professional organizations are checking your references and background, not the HR or the hiring manager like the old days.
Folks in the hobby should not be using sites such a Facebook. It is way too easy to get name to face especially if someone has been busted in hobby related crimes, etc.
Hi All- What an interesting topic. As a provider who has been in the industry for a few years, I am very fortunate that I was guided along in this field by a wonderful mentor. Just as a woman might guide a younger women in the corporate world, I was mentored in every aspect of my business model by a mentor. This really helped expedite the learning curve for me and has helped me avoid many situations that may not have been beneficial to my well being. I hope that each lady out there finds a jewel of a mentor to help her or has clients who care for them so that they do not fall into any harmful situations. xxoxo Sitara Devi
once I noticed an ad for a lady I had seen once... she gave a highway exit that abbutted a single small hotel. I emailed that this was not discreet & the ad was changed within the hour. I hear you on the phone and also emails... separate lives!!
I am confused as to why she was using her personal phone number for her clients anyway. Always have a no contract, pay as you go, business phone for clients and a regular phone for personal use. This should have been the number that she should have been giving to potential employers. Also make sure that if you do have a website and own a domain name that when you google the site that your real name that you listed your domain with DOES NOT pop up. I have seen this so many times. Cover blown!
I know most clients have an untraceable throwaway phone just for hobbying and completely separate from their "real" life. I just always assumed providers had the same.
