the recent posts about condoms pro and con helped me to see a different issue that i don't see addressed directly. so here goes.

The rules may be different for each individual. But without those rules, you don't DO anything, things just HAPPEN to you.

I have my own set of rules that I follow without exception, no matter what the circumstance. These rules are designed for mutual respect and my own personal safety.

I require references from other providers.  And I call those references... and I do as much homework on the reference as I do the guy.

I talk to the gent in question... I look at health and sniff and touch... appearence the whole nine yards.

As much as I care about my health, I care about my client too.
