Libido problems after getting sick.sad_smile

Um. I'm kind of mildly worried about this. I was curious if anyone else has had similar experiences.

Basically, I'm 37 years old, I'm not obese or anything although, perhaps I should work out a little more often.

Anyway, I had the flu 2 weeks ago, and most of the symptoms are gone and have been for about 5 days or so. (I still have a runny nose and sometimes I wake up with a stuffy nose) But, since the flu, I haven't been able to get ... excited. Pictures don't do it, movies don't do it. I didn't bother making an appointment with any of the providers (in fact I cancelled one, that I'd made before I got sick)...

Should I be worried, or is this (haha) premature? Is it just normal, and I'm still sick, and peter simply knows better than the rest of my body?

Thanks!
Beavis.

viruses, even the every-day sort, can take a much bigger toll on our bodies than we usually give them credit for......you still have symptoms ......you might make sure you are not walking around with either sinusitis or "walking pneumonia" etc etc .....both can take a toll......call your doc !!!!!!

Several years ago I came down with a nasty viral pnuemonia.  I was lucky that it was caught in time to prevent a hospital stay, but for about two weeks I was taking so many medications I rattled when I walked from all the pills.

Afterwards, it took almost five weeks from when I stopped the medications before I felt completely recovered.

The bottom line of the story:  viruses take an unknown toll on our bodies.  Just because you feel better doesn't mean you are totally recovered, and your body knows this.  The entire time I was sick, and recuperating, I didn't even think about "getting excited" as you put it.  I knew I was better when I started thinking about it again.

Just relax and give yourself some time.
