I have noted where smaller discussion boards that also keep a tally of individual participant’s contributions will sometimes advise against the practice of "Me Too" posts.

Automated monitoring of volume is fairly simple.
Judging on content can be highly contestable.

Secret ballot, and you can't vote for yourself.

Two catagories only:  Hobbyist and Provider

Of course one vote per member per catagory, no VIP needed.

Keep polls open for one full week, then post results.

And, you can NOT vote for yourself!

I do look forward to his posts and wish they were more frequent....

As for a provider - I would have to say that one who has actually changed my political opinion in an area is Vicki!  but there are those whose comments and quips I miss greatly - and I am saddened by their absence.  

but If I get two votes?! well - it would be difficult - could we have one for each board... and where would I put Mr. Spock!?  lol!!!

I wouldn't vote for me if I could.

Lex is right up there on my list, as are you; but I think my vote would go to the Coochmeister.  He doesn't post often, but when he does, it's a treat.

As for Vicki, can't disagree, but Ciara-has-fun is right up there too.

many ARE quality (Lex is always funny).  Made me miss sedonasandiego though.  Her posts were thoughtful---she has been off the board for awhile so I guess we will see her slip slowly down into the sunset?

...but there are only so many ways you can say "Get a life" to those folks who whine about STDs, Cops, providers with medium-sized teeth, and other hobby-related travails the rest of us take in stride.
