You heard right!I feel like the fat girl in the corner on prom night!I cant seem to get a provider to see me!Insane?Read on...

Here's the problem..or problems if you will..first off I havent seen a provider before so I have no references.Not good.I work for myself,not for a large company and my business is basically under my personal name.Thus,it is nearly impossible to verify my employment.Not to go into too much detail,but lets jut say I hide from the taxman a bit.Maybe a little too well because even though he cant find me,the escorts cant either.Next problem,I am very nervous about this whole thing,and when I get nervous I tend to stutter especially on the phone.I think this freaks them out and they start thinking Im up to no good.

And...some of it has nothing to do with me.I called Julies(saw all the reviews) and was told they werent seeing anyone this week.Ive called other girls and got out of town,phone has been disconnected,we dont travel there,shes retired,etc etc etc.And yet...YET...I see new reviews everyday of people having a ball!The whole thing is very frustrating,but I guess thats the natures of the beast.I realize this isnt dominoes we're playing here.

If you will excuse a bit of crass language,the phrase "Cant get laid in a whorehouse with a fistful of dollars" really seems to fit here.

Sorry.Just felt a need to rant.Any comments appreciated.

Here's some things you might consider:

1. I'm self-employed too, just be creative about different ways of proving your employment to the ladies. Does your biz advertise in the yellow pages with a phone number that matches your call back number that you give to women? Are you a State Licensed Professional? If so, email out a scanned copy of your license- there's a phone to Sacramento on the license that can be called to verify who you are.........etc.

2. Start with women who require less in the way of references and build up.

3. THE TAXMAN?!?!- actually, I think most escorts can relate to your problem here!

4. So you tend to stutter? That can be fixed, have you seen a Speech Pathologist about this? Fixing it would be good for your biz as well not just the ladies. Well, if all else fails, I guess you could try corresponding by email initially then when you show up, just smile a lot and nod your head!

The business thing is gonna be a problem.I'm not listed in the yellow pages,etc.However,I think I have found a creative way to prove what I do,thanks to your input.If that falls,Im thinking of opening up a lemonade stand with a plank and two milk crates.

Have you tried a trip to Las Vegas.  When you get off the plane, get in a taxi, and then ask the driver what cathouse he can recommend for your budget.  Make sure you leave your name with them and let them know that you want to use them as a reference for future providers.

I too am self-employed. Unlike you I don't hide from the taxman but I do not advertise, have business cards, letterhead etc.... I guess business has been so good I never got around to it ... 6 years now.  Well, I do have a business license, I do have bank statements mailed to my home address with my business name on them, and I do have domains that have been registered to me for 6 years also.  I am sure there are other things you could use as well.
I became a member of TER and started posting here back in Nov of last year, I didn't leave "retirement" until Feb of this year, in those 2-3 months I became a known poster on the discussion board and also did my homework doing my research on
who I would see in my "coming out" so to speak.

Had the same problem and used a business associate help me with the ref's..Now, I see the girls, I'm happy, they are happy, every one is happy..I didn't lie to them, I just told the truth, they checked me out, and now I'm in...really IN.....Good Luck!!

You can never find a cop or a "provider" when you need one (OK, I paraphrased a little).

Don't feel too bad, matching schedules is the downside of this otherwise enjoyable pursuit.  The women travel, or just get busy with personal business and quit answering the phone or emails.  It can start to seem like a conspiracy, especially when you're in the mood, but it isn't.  As suggested above, the self-employment thing can be overcome with a little fore-thought too.

As for stuttering when you're nervous, don't let it get to you.  I'm always a little nervous when meeting or talking for the first time.  Start with email contact first.  After you've built up some rapport and scheduled a visit, just write something this like at the bottom of your email:

PS- I sometimes get a little tongue-tied in the presence of a beautiful woman.   I hope you'll understand if it happens when we first meet, and take it as a compliment.  I'm sure after a little time together, things will be just fine.

We all have something related to nerves that gives us away.  I'm bald and when I'm nervous I can't hide the glow on my head.  It happened just last month with a woman I've known for four years!  But she surprised me when she started kissing me, and next thing you know, I felt (and looked) like a first date again.  I think she thought it was funny, and I guess it was, but I was still embarassed.

Most of the ladies with a some experience are much more understanding than the 20 y.o. girls starting out.  The more experienced women know that their clients come in all shapes, sizes and personality types.  They also know that part of their job is to make them all feel special, if ony for a little while, before sending them back out into the real world again. You might consider that also, as you read the reviews and make your choices.  Good luck, and enjoy yourself.

send her an e-mail telling her you have a stuttering problem when you get nervous.  When calling refer to the e-mail and say, "Hello I sent you an e-mail about my stuttering problem, I hope you don't mind. I just nervous talking to pretty ladies. I would really like to meet you."

One of my favorite customers was a stutterer.  He was a real party animal and nobody expected it from him because of his stutter.  His stutter made him seem so innocent and sweet.   That guy led the most amazing double life.

I know the feeling.  I'm an independent contractor, which means I don't even have so much as a business license.  People hire me for projects, sometimes require me to actually come in to their offices, sometimes don't, and in any event certainly don't give me my own phone extension or listing in the company directory.  My cellphone is my "business number" and the only business cards I need are the ones I print up on my own printer.

Occasionally I work through an agency when a company requires me to be going through somebody who will withhold taxes and stuff.  More often than not, just 1099 income.  Makes it very difficult to verify my current place of employment.

As such, many providers are just not even a consideration.  I've learned to live with it.

To all the great people on the board.

When I first posted I had no idea I would get so many kind responses and offers of assistance.Both here and in private mail.Everyone has been great.I an really appreciate all the kind words and support.There are too many people to thank personally,so I will just send out a big Thank YOU! to everyone.Not only did people offer their help,advice and a thumbs up but everyone went on to say "Email me whenever you want,feel free to contact me,stay in touch".Great people or what?

As far as how things are going,very good.Through this post I have gotten so many leads,contacts and offers from ladies its amazing.I have my first appointment today with a lovely lady who I have emailed several times and spoken to on the phone.She is a doll.I also have several other things in the works for future encounters.But most importantly,I believe I am developing a rapport with both hobbyists and providers alike.I'll say this again since it bears repeating...what a great bunch of people on this board.
