Advice on a Fake Review Needed

I have a problem and was hoping that someone could help. I work as an assistant to independent providers. I have worked with several girls over the past 3 years, and both the girls and myself have always received extremely positive praise and feedback. I have proven my reputation as an honest and legitimate person, both as a provider myself, and with every girl I have ever scheduled for.

With that said, I recently encountered a problem that I have no idea how to solve. A very mean spirited and immature person posted a review to TER's database that is 100% false. The reason I knew that the review was false is that the girl had been visiting his city for less then a week. The first couple of days she did not work at all due to her monthly just ending. Then she did a few double-date appointments with her girlfriend. She had only did 4 of these, when a review appeared for her. It was not completely degrading, but was also not very flattering. However, it was specifically a review for her by herself. It was left by a frequent poster to both TER and TBD. This poster already had a past history of public flaming and bickering with the person the reviewed girl used to work with. Now that she had gone independent, the poster had said he was going to "try her out". However, she had no appointments that were single dates, and I knew all the clients she had doubles with. There were all return clients.

So, I made a public post on the boards that this poster uses, asking him why he posted a false review. I stated that if he could prove me wrong, I would publicly apoligize. I said if you did in fact see this girl, why didn't you mention that it was a double with her girlfriend- as those were the only appointments she did? What was the hotel name, or in respect to discretion, can you at least say the room number? What were the girls wearing? The reviewed girl has a small tattoo with one word on her arm- can you name what it said? Can you come up with any proof at all to validate that you did in fact see this girl? His only reply to any of my requests for proof were to make more derogatory accusations. Basically, this person feels that since he has a long history of posting (all negative- nobody really likes this guy- at least not for the past 3 years I have been around)that he should not have to come up with any proof and that his word is good enough.

Pardon not sounding ladylike, but I think this is a bunch of crap. I have written TER staff and notified them that this is a fake review, but it is still there and it has been a month.

What am I to do? How can I prove that this guy is lying? It really makes me mad and frustrated. I know this may not seem like a big deal to most people, but it sets a very bad precedent for the board. How are clients supposed to trust info, when anyone can just say whatever they want? Please- any feedback would be appreciated.

One way to look at it is; if she has consistently gotten good reviews all along, I would have to think that one bad one would be looked upon exactly as you are stating (bad client, someone with an axe to grind, etc...).  I don't judge a lady on just one review, I look for consistency.

since i don't know any of the details (and really don't care to either), i can't say if what TER did or didn't do is justified or not. i'm sure it's frustrating to not be able to right a wrong especially a blatant one as you claim.

frankly, i think what you are doing now (posting about it) is pretty darn good and the best you can hope for in some respects. it seems to me (again not knowing or caring about the exact circumstances) that publicly airing out your laundry, challenging the guy to fess up, and so on, is about the best way to go about it.

not sure if having TER flex their muscles is always best (they flex both ways you know! :)  i'm always of the opinion that SELF-REGULATION is the best way to run these boards. all reviews come with the YMMV-ish disclaimers of "works of fiction" and whatnot so one bad fake review by someone, who as you say is a well-known a-hole anyway, doesn't seem too egregious, does it?

in fact, letting that one bad fake review by Mr. A**hole stay around, while the providers has an otherwise stellar track record (say for the sake of argument) is actually NOT such a bad thing. it only amplifies his lack of credibility if anything!

This is the problem with reviews to begin with. There is no 3rd party objective witness to verify everything. That's why all reviews, to quote Mr. Singleton, need to be taken with a grain of salt.

there are hobbyists willing to check out the truth themselves.

It seems like you have already done so.  The only thing you can do is to wait for new reviews to come in and counter the nasty one.  You can also suggest to your friend to hold a summer special in TER and the other board to attract members who are more inclined to comment or post reviews.  If the responses are positive, whatever that single review is, it will be discounted.

I don't personally know the escort in question but I have watched the scenerio unfold in my city.

I don't know why TER didn't pull the review if it was bogus---Staff would have to explain why.

Anyway, Spectator, you are right on the money (as usual)--the newest review came in better. The escort is curently holding summer specials and hopefully all the negative stuff will fall by the wayside soon.

I vistied TBD and watched this flame thing as it was unfolding.  I am so happy that TER would never allow that to continue.  Bogus review are all of our problem.  The reviewers and the people being reviewed.  If I had a problem with a girl I would simply E Mail her and try and work it out.  I am not sure why the flamer wishes to continue with this negative realtionship.  Maybe it is the only kind he can enjoy.  There are many beautiful sweet women out there. Time for this dude to move on with his life.  Lisa Marie looks hot.  I have not seen her yet.  But good thngs come to those who wait.

1) A lot of guys I know review not only the reviewee but the reviewer as well. To a certain extent, the more the review is about the reviewer, rather than the reviewee, you can be certain the reviewee did her job properly.

2) In the business, bogus reviews are always going to be part and parcel of the gig. Ladies would like a wall of 9s and 10s, so they can keep their rates high and books full, but it's all about chemistry, and I think it's tough to keep everyone happy.

3) I have long felt that many of the problems on TBD are the sole fault of the site's operators. Although I could write a book about everything which is wrong with El P(imp)errito Grande, one which stands out is that it definitely appeals to a much lower common denominator than on TER. You have a number of guys who are abusive who for some reason are allowed to post, and a number of ladies who consider themselves courtesans, but act more like common streetwalkers. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention the bad client list, which in theory is a good idea, but in actual practice is nothing more than a client review board, which is one reason I generally will not see a lady with a strong TBD presence. Because the a-hole/bozo factor is so high, you have to go through so many hoops to get a date (another game I refuse to play), and then you find your performance is reviewed? I don't play that, sorry.

I have the same problem with a review that was posted just recently for one of my ladies.  A complete fabrication from the word go and have not heard from Staff as to why it hasn't been taken down. I do realize that they are very busy and I'm hoping that's the only delay.  In the meantime I've had several phone calls from this lady's regulars that were just astounded by the obviousness of this guy's lies and they assured me that they would contact Staff as well.  I sure hope that helps!

in my last review (Samantha) i actually discuss (in the Juicy Details section) what she told me herself: that the one really bad review she has was from an ex-client turned stalker who followed her home one night (from her incall hotel)

this statement (as re-stated by me) is there for any observant TER member to take note of and judge for themselves (and act accordingly). the fact that this sole bad review sticks out like a sore thumb is even further vindication for her

so in short, while it stings and it sucks, let it go ... most guys on TER are not dumb and can figure these things out. conversely, a slug like him IS in fact dumb and still hasn't figured out that trashing a girl with blatant lies only makes the guy himself out to be a rat-phuck-sonofa-bitch! ... (i've been dying to use that curse phrase for a while!) ... LOL

already.  Perhaps trying one more time to contact TER is the only thing left.  They could pull it temporarily while it is investigated, but somehow even that may be to much to ask.  I don't have any idea how busy they are and may be akin to finding a needle in a haystack.

Although reviews are of great importance, one must always take them with a little sense of skeptism.  It is not uncommon for some to post reviews on ladies they have never seen, just for the sake of gaining free memberships.  In essence these slimeballs are only hurting themselves in compromising the integrity of what they are about anyway.

I think gents with a good head on their shoulders will be able to read the reviews and not take everything said on face value.  There are consistencies in them that will give him great insight and if there is one off the mark, he should question it whether it be favorable or not.

I don't get it.  As much as this hobby costs why would the price of a membership be an issue?  I post reviews which I have noticed a lot of people don't.  They decide to just pay the money.  Well if everybody posted it would certainlly cut down the percantage of bogus reviews.   You only get out what you give. If everybody paid and nobody posted what would TER be.

I completely agree with Rick.  You reap what you sow.  The best policing on TER is done by the membership, and the more people who review, the more diluted those bogus reviews get.

And we definitely are a Community!  We certainly act like one, one with a higher intelligence than most.  I for one think we should be using that intelligence more often.

that since the membership fee is near infinitesimal to what a TRUE hobbyist spends already, not only is "why would the price of a membership be an issue?" a good question, but it also leads to yet another: the current policy of earning VIP days for reviews is dangerously flawed (watch me get moderated now! ;)

where i come from, you don't write a check with your mouth that your ass can't cash (and then some) so i herewith issue the following proclamation, in line with my little protest against the policy of "VIP days for reviews" ... and that is

TER can cancel all the extra VIP days i've earned so far (and will ever earn in the future) by posting reviews! (dead serious, i've said it publicly here on the national board so they can do it without fear of litigation ... LOL, as if i would litigate over ~$/month!

3 years of experience should provide more then enough good reviews.  Anyone who thinks we hobbyist expect to see 9(s) and 10(s) have not paid enough attention to the community.  Besides the "provider vs. provider" and the "guys writing fake reviews," men's options are not so alike where you can expect to get it right everytime.  If you have about 15 or 30 reviews (pretty easy if you've been doing this for 3 yrs), one review is not going to mean anything.  Spend your "worry time" on marketing--that's were you get more bang for the buck (personally, I love those website pics, keep them coming and change them often--especially the butt shots).  Great providers can't be stop, the word is always going to get out.  Take it easy and don't worry about it!
