Anyone having issues where they have to pretend to fk someone under age, might need some therapy. It does not matter whether you act out on it or not...those thoughts can easily turn into actions. If I did nothing but think about killing someone, plotted it, planned it, saw the scene played out over and over, I would run for medication...same goes for sexual fantasies that involve children and incest.

In can be reasonable argued that "the line" could be drawn anywhere within an age range of around 10 years, give or take a couple, with relative factors varying depending on where you are at within that range of age. I think you are reaching with the statement that "14 year olds are not children." I would beg to differ, and suggest that you don't know. For some 14 is mature based on life experiences, and for some...they are still children. I would not want some 30 year old fkin my 14 year old daughter no more than I would want a 30 year old woman fkin my teenage son.
The first point is a linguistic one, and therein lies the problem. 5 year olds are children in every way. 14 year olds are not. And while some might challenge the next statement, 18 year olds, like 14 year olds have not developed past every aspect of childhood as a 30 year old has.
Your second point speaks directly to the real heart of the matter, which is the age span and relative developmental differences between a 14 yo and and 30 year old. The sexual taboo has to do mostly with the "advantage", either real or perceived, that the 30 year old supposedly has. That's has amoral issue and a social issue which by it's nature is subjective. The same case could be made about a 35 yo and 18 year old, yet the world "allows" that.
I "feel" the same way you do personally. But I still think there are huge inadequacies in how society responds to the issue and how and where that line has been drawn.

There are some 14 YOs who look 21... there are some 14 YOs who look 10 or 12. I well remember being in school with both types. And when working at a bar, was amazed at the true ages.
