I was happy to hear that he was giving up Lent for Mardi Gras, it seems like a good time to do it with all the excess...

Yeah baby, crawfish and hush puppies, etouffe, jambalaya, and gumbo. King cake and hurricanes! Fat Tuesday forever!

Once upon a time, I was a nitwit, Irish, Catholic, schoolgirl.
 In 6th grade, I was asked what I would give up for lent. I replied, "mustard".  I kid you not.  Loved mustard on everything! Yep, I was weird. Still am.
 On a side note, I was not only a 6th grade, Catholic schoolgirl, but a 6th grade Catholic schoolgirl, CHEERLEADER!  At the risk of repeating myself, I KID YOU NOT!
 We HAD to wear our school uniforms to cheer at the games. It was without a doubt, the ugliest uniform ever. Awesome institution.  
 Funny thing is, I still have the grotesque apparel AND it still fits! Well...except for the button-down, cotton blouse, but C'est la vie!!!!!!

Brings back many memories for me too when I was growing up. Boys and girls were coed until 6th grade - then the nuns split us up!  To make it worse I then went to an all Boys Catholic High School.

you decide to make a sacrifice for whatever reason, is always good so best of luck. I gave up free sex with random men over 7 years ago, and never looked back. I just charge for it now bwahhahahaa.
