What is up with that.  We are finding out more and more by clients that there are people copying our ads, following our tour dates and because we are so busy with other parts of our lives we didn't notice, its kinda lame... Don't get obsessed with us, but I guess its flattering... LOL

"Imitation is the highest form of flattery" but also the highest form of mediocrity...
I love to write and spend hours and days working on my ad and the content on my site..
It is quite annoying to see your words and ideas copied to the t elsewhere..
For those who don't have a lot of imagination... Maybe hiring a writer will be the solution so you don't look bad.

It irks me to see my words on another person's ads. Not much a to do about it,though,  that is worth the aggravation! Karma will take care of it. :)
And I will go on creating more words.

Now if my blogs get copied, I would be really pretty ticked off

Another gal in Atlanta notified me last year of my Q&A, etiquette pages being copied from my site (verbatim) via another well known Atlanta gals website. A regular client of mine mentioned it about a month ago as well. Doesn't bother me in the least, as I feel it's probably great info for anyone to have on their site.. for safety, etc. Might've struck a nerve if it were my ad or intro page on site. I thought it funny tho that they were studying sites so closely and would mention.
I looked a gal up today prior to emailing her for a reference. Her Q&A had something on it that I've been trying to express for a long time, but was unsure of how to word it. Expressed how impressed I was with it and she gave me the go to borrow it. Of course, I would never copy word for word, but it gave me a great template to start with.
Given the industry we're in, I think it's par to assume someone out there is copying your info. When I was new, I grabbed different ideas from all over the country and beyond.. then reworded to fit my specific likes and expectations.
Def a little creepy tho when people start tracking your location and others who might follow (touring). I have 4 clients who currently track my girly dates. They have a much better grip on that mess than I do! Weird

I have clients who have my cycle down to the T, and they make sure I know they're trying NOT to schedule during that time so I don't cancel on them. haha. That's hilarious... I thought I was the only one.

Now that that's out of my system, I don't think anyone has copied my stuff yet. Not sure if I should be discouraged, or if my style is too original. I do constantly change up my website and ads, so they're rarely the same.

I had NO CLUE what I was doing...
I looked around & copied the first extremely well-done site that I saw, and left it alone until later...
When I got an email from HER about it.
Very professional, not angry or ugly-
I was shocked because I had literally become so busy... I had forgotten.
It was a simple over-sight on my part, never intended to "plagiarize."

I have since then worked on my website a few times, and I understand the protective nature us ladies feel over our hard work.

I guess it would be a compliment, however, not nice for other bitches who DO know better to piggy-back off of your work.
Past the NOOB stage, never have and never will copy.
Unless I see a line that is so damn good, I am forced to beg for permission to copy it!
LOL!

And some of you ladies are so smart & coy, I am awfully tempted to do just that!
Sadly, there are but so many words in the English language, and after a while, unless it is a "stand out"- they all really do start to blend together.
:(

I like what you did with your site. Unique and not the same with just different picture's and contact info. Glad you didn't get "beat up" for the first one.
