The Mann Act is the illegal transportation of women across interstate lines for immoral reasons.
It doesn't matter about consent, it's strictly against the law.
So until one law is changed, don’t expect a good argument for the other to be changed.
One is illegaly by federal law though.
There is a big difference, dummy.
The Mann act was predominantly written to prevent involuntary prostitution. If an Indy provider flies out to spend time with you she is willing. If she has a pimp saying go fuck this guy and pay me. That's another story.
If he spent half as much time making his own posts worth reading as he does obsessing over you, he would be the best poster on the board! lol.
I'm curious who is going to snitch on a FMTY? The provider, or the client? Drive me to you = DMTY also applies, so don't leave that out of your educational post. Booking a providers time is never illegal. Asking for sexual services for x amount of $ is illegal.
I suggest having a criminal attorney. I believe knowing the laws in every state you hobby helps. I think the best clients are the ones that already know that they are paying for our time. I have had a person threaten to contact LE and tell them I am an escort, but that means you're telling on yourself. Self-snitching.
I had a guy on another board post I'm LE. I think it's incredibly interesting seeing how some people act. This is a very fun hobby if you, do your homework and research real providers. I know this is a risky business in more ways, than one.
Two sides engaging in an illegal action typically dont go running to tip LE off about it. lol.
.
And FMTY would be no different than a DMTY or a TMTY, if state lines were crossed, so not sure why FMTY was singled out, but then again, as others have stated, the whole lifetstyle is illegal so there's that. lol.
Well the Mann Act is federal vs the typical state prostitution statutes. I don't know what the maximum penalty is for a Mann Act conviction but it's pretty irrelevant considering that I don't think any of us here have to worry about being prosecuted for a Mann Act violation.
Ridiculous post.
There are literally hundreds of laws, Federal and state, that have been on the books for many years that should be repealed. That doesn't mean they all get enforced.
Combs was a big target. I wouldn't count on the Mann Act being used to prosecute Joe Blow who arranges a FMTY.
The law was passed in no small part to protect those pure and chaste white women who were being pursued by evil and predatory black men. Hence Jack Johnson's conviction in 1913. Remember the law was also called the White Slave Traffic Act. If you were a black or brown woman kidnapped, taken across 10 states and forced into prostitution in each, I don't think the FBI was racing to your rescue.
Here's a good article on it. And it's worth noting the article points out Charlie Chaplin was also prosecuted under the act, as was Chuck Berry.
I'm reminded (once again) of this story:

The porpoises at the zoo were being particularly frisky and displaying behaviors not suitable for family viewing. The zoo keeper knew that he could calm them down with a meal of freshly killed sea gulls. The quickest route from the food prep area to the porpoise tank was through the lion cage. It sounds dangerous to carry fresh bloody kill near the lions but they were old, tired and well fed. The zoo keeper took the dead birds into the cage, hopped over the lions sprawled therein, scratched Leo behind the ears and proceeded to feed the porpoises who quickly calmed down. As he left the lion's cage to go back to the kitchen, he was cuffed and arrested. "What's goin' on! What'd I do? What's the charge?"

"Transporting gulls across staid lions for immoral porpoises."

(Eliot Spitzer, NY Governor, had arranged to be visited at his DC hotel room by someone that would come down from New Jersey. He was being investigated for FINANCIAL crimes but they could have charged him like the zoo keeper.

Any excuse to tell the staid lions joke. Thank you.
Here's a good article on it. And it's worth noting the article points out Charlie Chaplin was also prosecuted under the act, as was Chuck Berry.
Such as the one where I picked up a gal at the airport and then got busted for the Mann Act. But I told the officer that the joke's on you...this is a lady, not a man.
But I won't, because it is just too easy to.
between "transporting" a person for sex and a FMTY. There is a reasonable argument to be made that a woman traveling alone on an airplane, who boards in one state where she lives, and travels to another state with the intentional of selling sexual services may be violating the laws in the state where the services are to be performed, but I don't think it's a man act violation because she traveled under her own initiative and was not "transported" by any third person or organization. If a man invites a women to travel to his state and have sex with him, what crime has she committed by getting on an airplane and traveling to meet him, where the sex may or may not still take place? All of the prior cases involve physically escorting the women to a predetermined destination where the sex will allegedly take place.
It's interesting that after the Mann Act conviction of Charles Manson in 1960, the Mann Act was not used in any cases that did not involve transport of minors until 2021, with there being two in 2021 and more recently, P Diddy in 2025, which I believe did not involve transporting any minors.
that in most FMTYs the money for her flight is wired to her and she purchases the ticket in her own name. So the government would have to trace the money back to the guy who sent it and prove that was its purpose. Impossible? No. But probably harder than the Feds would attempt for a single bust.
There could very well be case law involving the word "transport". Courts sometimes use broad interpretations of words like that and it can vary from one circuit to another.
For all we know, "transport" may include "cause to transport" or "facilitate transport".
the relationship between the customer and the transporter constituted an agency. In other words, if you had your chauffer drive the girl across state lines to meet you while he was on the clock being paid by you, an argument could be made that he was merely your agent and you are the principal responsible for transporting the girl. The chauffer has deniability on the basis that he did not know the purpose for which he was delivering her to his boss. He was just following orders.
