I have never toured either and would like to give it try..........I would love to know how to do it right? Would any other providers like to share any info with a newbie???? I do get PMs here? Thanks! Kylie
I would have to say the best part of touring is being able to see the city I am in! I haven't done a ton of touring, but this job has given me the opportunities to wander Michigan Ave. in downtown Chicago, walk the hills of San Francisco, and brave the cold of Minneapolis... lol
I grew up never getting the chance to travel - I think my first 20 years of life I left the state of Iowa maybe 5 times in my life. I never dreamed that in the last 2 years of providing I would be visiting the greatest cities in this country (at least a few of them) and getting to see so much of the world.
I guess I mostly have to say thanks to all the guys that make it possible - the guys that want to see me and have even gone so far as to recommend the best restaurants in town, the best places to see, the most fun adult toy shops to go to.... lol I know that I am in this business to work and pay the bills first - but it sure doesn't hurt to be able to see and enjoy just a little bit of the world I have a lot left I want to see, I just wish I had the time to go to a different city every month!
I tour because I love to travel so I definitely get out and see the city I'm visiting. In DC last year I spent most of my time site-seeing instead of working because I loved the city so much. I didn't get to see a whole lot of LA simply because I can't drive. I really must learn someday
Seriuos probelm for Euros in LA! We are THE ONLY great city in the world with no Public Transpo to speak of!
Sorry for the lameness of LA citizens and politicos- we are trying to get there.
BTW you might want to stay in Hollywood where you can at least get tube/train to Pasadena (Norton Simon Musee/Huntington Library) and Downtown LA (not sure why to go there- except maybe good dim sum in Chinatown) Train is not ready for the rest of LA or LA for it!
I drove from the northern part of Florida to the Florida Keys and ate crab, drank beer, and worked on erasing some tan lines. I always spend time enjoying the city, going to the art museums, listening to local jazz and blues, and finding fun hole in the wall dive bars. New Orleans has the best oysters, but Chicago has the best blues, although I haven't been to St. Louis. I am touring later this year, and I want to do Route 66. Anyone want to donate an R.V.? *smile*
