It's an obnoxious, and boring site that has become ubiquitous! It BORES guys to death (been there/seen it 1000 times) and turns them off--hence, less appointments. If you must use this pathetically lame site for your ads, kindly post a TER Logo/Banner/link, on the FIRST page. Thanks! If you need help, look at some top providers, and emulate their sites with some creativity. I KNOW most of you use because it's free, but C'mon it's the Kmart of provider sites, and makes you look cheap!
Also, guys HATE music, and "Flash"! CL doesn't cut it either.
Happy Hobbying to ALL!!!

Wow, some real hatred, lol.. I used to use their template so I understand. Yet, I kept getting compliments on my site. But when I got enough of the limitation with what I could do with the template, and their horrible customer support - or rather, non-existent - I dumped them and got my own site.
Having said that, I think it's a great free service. I wouldn't blame why so many use it. I just didn't realize how saturated it was.
assumptions about a guy checking a website, (1) he hasn't made up his mind, and (2) he's not looking for a wife or software critiques.
So the idea here is get the information he needs in the quickest, most convincing, & reliable way.
So what *I* and all sane men want to see is, GOOD PICTURES, cost estimate, and some indication that she's reliable, & I won't need to bring nunchuks for protection. No Amy Winehouse!
All the software has to do is provide that information. Fuzzy lives with this and forgets that most of us are looking for a hot time, not software.
I'd like to see maybe a dozen photos in different situations. A couple is fine, but you don't look at more then 3 dozen, tops. If you really want to gild the lily, add a video or blog. Don't blog if you aren't considerably more coherent than Bush, but that doesn't put the bar very high. If you add a video, I want to see you move - dancing is way better than a gynecologist's exam. (A blog that people might read would be your tours - maybe a paragraph & upskirt photo or something for each stop - maybe you'd want to travel with a GF)
The reason I take this time is that your site is JUST FINE because it has good photos, and that's 90% of it. A good idea would be to add a feature to allow you show face shots to people you had qualified. A woman's expression is important.
Now, here's the problem with cost. If a guy's going to spend big bucks on a woman, it's probably because he likes her and wants to come back, so whatever the rate is gets multiplied by the number of times he imagines seeing her. In a provider's shoes, I think I'd be looking for a way to be flexible about who I did & didn't want to see.
1) Take one end in your right hand, and the other in your left.
2) Fold them together, and put them in your back pocket.
3) Pull out your .45, and wave it in the direction of the enemy.
4) Watch them die of dehydration as they shit themselves in terror.
when your hands are folded together in your back pocket?
or are you just a natural spaz?
Wow...if your willing to pay for everyone who uses RARE...then by golly, your the man!
A site does ...what? Tells "who they are. Has pics. Has rates. Has do's and dont's. Has reviews" etc etc.
The big deal is....what?
Its not the site that makes the provider.
Which is the cheapest species on earth?

You should use it when you first starting out and when you're ready to make "the move", upgrade.
Rare-escort sites don't really bother me that much. It has everything you need or would want to know as a hobbyist. And I think it is a great place for a provider to start with her online presence.
The part I do HATE are the pictures...and I know that is a big downfall. The thumbnails are generally too small or just awkward looking.
I do agree that there is nothing fancy about it and it has zero "Wow" factor. But I think it is a great option for someone in their first year. After that one may be best suited to find a better template or just upgrade to a well done site.
...nothing more ridiculous (and funny if it weren't so frustrating) to click on a 1.5 inch thumbnail only to see the pic come up as a 1 inch pic! I can buy the provider's excuse of not knowing that their site often asks us if we want it to be one of "our favorites" (another frustration that's been discussed here b4), but c'mon with the pics. Ladies, check your own sites. The photos are the #1 thing we look at! If you want business, make SURE your photos easy and attractive.
I guess several of the women who utilize those templates, don't realize you have the option of choosing the image size, when you upload a new picture. Mine all show up as normal size. As for the prompt to add the site to your favorites list, I'm not sure if that can be turned off, but it only asks once, for each lady's site that you visit.
Glad you took the time to do your photos correctly. Actually, you providers have the ability to turn off the "favorites prompt". (Has been topic of discussion in the past.) And until that is done, we continually get the prompt (yes, only once per visit, but it's there if/when we revisit).

The pop-up bothered me in the beginning but I'm so used to clicking NO that it comes 2nd nature. I'll gladly deal with that than some sites where you have to wonder how to navigate to see the information.
As long as you upload normal size photos, it'll show at the size uploaded. It generates the thumbs automatically. If you are seeing small photos, then those are what they uploaded. It has its limitations, but it has a lot to do with how you use it.
You're spending time with the lady, not her HTML!
the website is a guy's introduction to the lady. A website that gets your attention is more likely to result in follow-up. When a guy is looking through various options for female entertainment and one website stands out from an indistinguishable dozen or so, I think there is a higher likelihood that is the one he will follow up on.
That said, I don't personally have such a negative reaction to the free template. A lady can still make herself stand out. There are a things I find annoying though
1. Trying to add itself to my Favorites
2. Tiny little pictures
3. No indication of where in the world the lady is located
4. No text at all that tells me anything about the lady

About the adding to favorites cookie
I hate those too but remember sometimes we dont have control over those. Some hosts just add them on without our knowledge.
"Presentation is everything." You are selling a service. The more appealing you make that service seem and the more care you put into showing off the service you are offering, the more attention your customers are going to pay to it.
I have no problem with template sites. The information the lady puts in them is MOST Important.
Approx. Geographical area
A few decent & recent photos

it really boils down to pictures, menu and price. A little personality or something special on the side is nice, but all these things can be communicated on a boring website. Besides, women on template websites might be open to barter for a nice, dynamic custom website with all the trimmings! There's always a silver lining.
Also, if they are paying for a hosted website or paying for development, that price could get passed on to we the conscientious consumers. Rich internet experiences are great until they start making the parties concerned too poor.
So in closing, I don't care if the lady is deploying the latest in server-side technology. I'm looking for client-side poontang.
While I agree that the sites are boring it's really not a selling point for me. The fact that the lady even HAS a site is important especially if she does not have a lot of reviews yet. Honestly, I'll see a lady with a few good reviews and a Yahoo page if I get a good vibe from her.
That's your opinion. State it as such, but don't try to bolster it by claiming you speak for most other guys as well. How do you know this? Did you take a poll before making this post?
Personally, I don't care if someone uses a template for their web design. Just because they are not into graphic design doesn't say anything about how much fun they will be in person. And its still possible to be creative even within a template, by what is written down, and how the pages are organized. But others, who are not computer savvy, may actually appreciate the similarity so they know exactly where to go for the information needed, rather than having to figure out under which link its hidden.
The only thing I dislike are the pop-up photos which are often too small to be of any use. Thumbnails should expand to reasonable size once they are chosen.
But this is all MY opinion. I speak for no one else.
and all we want is some good photos, a decent price & contact/schedule information, and all the software has to do is not crash our computer!
rare escort templates. I find them easy to navigate, there are many different tabs of information, and ladies can certainly show their personalities on those templates. The type of website isn't the deciding factor for me on whether or not I'll see her. What's on the website, posts on boards, etc. are the important things, at least for me they are.
Nothing makes me madder than seeing someone (ie on eros)...and has no website!...which usually ends up as NO reviews! I go to the website to get info, not to check out the artwork! (altho I check out the pics) Some of the best ladies I've seen, have the same website that you are complaining about! I don't know...works for me
since we basically said the same thing...that there is NO problem with those sites....what makes you think anyone wanted to direct anything at you???
You were viewing his post when you made your response, so your post was "under" his post. Notice the indentation of your post?
Normal posting etiquette implies that you were talking TO him.
I guess I missed that class...this is now getting silly! I know exactly why my post was where it was...I just never saw anyone go ballistic over a post that totaly agreed with his...My bad! I musta forgot, since nobody on our board pays any attention to that kinda stuff! I will try to do better in the future!
I use the rare escorts templates, for several reasons. First, I haven't actually NEEDED a website in years! Given my nearly exclusively regular client base, all they care about is seeing new photos and having access to my calendar, so they know when I'm coming to their city next. And when I do pick up new clients, its through Eros, where I don't link my website anyway. I don't seem to be having any problems, in either department. So I guess that squashes your generalized opinion.
Secondly, I have *complete* control over the rare-escort templates, and can update the text, photos and calendar instantaneously, at any time, and as frequently as I wish. You can't get that with most professionally designed websites.
All that said, I have long considered having a new site designed just for me, and I even have a domain registered for it already. But that would include a complete change in identity, which seems like such a shame at this point, but possibly necessary. I'm just not quite ready to do it.
So do I think a professionally designed site looks better?? Of course I do. But don't come stepping on my toes, Dabney, or I'll stick my foot up your yuppie white a$$!!
Sheesh! I seriously disagree with Fuzzy, but he's trying to help. You gotta save the invective for the NCNS!
Jeans, if selected properly, and worn properly can look very sexy. But they are still the same clothes worn by many. One has to look beyond the jeans to see the beauty.
Beautiful women dressed in designer or "fancy" wardobe can be more exciting, hence the price and demand.
Some people get bored with jeans. Some don't.
I think that the small photos issue is more due to non-professional web designing ladies that are uploading small photos vs. a pro web designer knowing what to do. The "favorites reminder" is a definite pain though.

To me the woman that looks good in jeans (whatever that means...), is much more preferable to the woman who needs to be designer stuff.
A woman who needs to be wearing designer stuff to feel good about herself is not someone I want to see.
My site was completely done by me.. from scratch. Feel free to check it out and give me some feedback.. I'm always open to suggestions

For me it's a waste of money if I'd get a site. I'm low volume (by choice) and would prefer to remain so. Also, I like the ease of just not paying for your ad the next month if you want to take a break from it all (like I'm doing this summer.) I'm not in this for much longer, anyways. Spring semester when I graduate I'm gone and all that will be left of me is maybe a few fond memories, some crazy ass posts on this site and a trail of new girls to take my place.
For the girls who do have sites, they're pretty to look at and I'm sure that they work wonderfully for you, but it's just not for me.
Katie
YOU may not need a site. But then you are a hot blonde beach bunny type (and I mean that in all the best ways).
BUT PUT UP SOME PICS THAT ARE LARGER THAN A *%* FINGERNAIL !!!
thank you
you 'd be amazed at just how EASY it is to re size or rotate of your uploaded pics.
Most of those free ones have tutorials to help you.
You just have to look.
Merely because I know where everything I am looking for is. I can find the pictures, and rates very quickly, and determine in a very short period of time if I am interested in seeing the woman.
OTOH some highly stylized website with many pages of text (that is usually the same as every other site), where everything is very hard to find is much more of a turnoff.
Furthermore Mr. Fuzzy, you say that guys hate Flash too? Then how do you expect to create a compelling site with no flash?
Methinks there is one site you really like, and expect every other woman to emulate that site.
OTOH I am like Joe Friday: "Just the facts m'am!"
I don't see anything wrong with them. They are easy to navigate, and in most cases, all the information is right there. As for the pictures, they are secondary to me. The ones that have them password protected, I've never even asked for the password. I'm usually going to the "About Me" page first. Some of the ladies are pretty creative, and tell me what I need to know on that page.
If I can't get a good idea of what you look like with photos that are not password protected, then forget it. The really ridiculous ones are when they say password provided to those I've seen. If they've seen you, they don't need photos!
Another peeve is when the photos are clipped so much you can't tell what body part it is. I figure they have a figure they have to hide and I move on. Besides I want someone who is uninhibited. The photos don't have to be nude but they need to indicate the body shape and size. If they can't be upfront about that, then I'll pass. I pass on many.
I don't want to register my own domain. Not because I can't afford the 10 bucks and hosting. Because I don't want a domain registered under my name, for privacy reasons.
I *know* that I can get a private registration, which will provide enough of a barrier to throw off most lazy stalkers who aren't really after me so much as looking for someone to annoy. Still, the info is out there, and even though it's not available in the whois directory, that so does not mean it's not available to someone who knows where to look.
Rare may be a bit ubiquitous, but it's cheap, easy, and anonymous
