...It probably won't take more than a year to get all his money.

Hopefully he has some good financial planners and lawyers.

5 Things I would do if I win this big...

1. Change my legal name
2. Change my address immediately, even if it means living in hotel for a month or two.
3. Get a financial planner and a lawyer
4. Take 2-3% of the win and just blow it on stuff (cars, women, toys, trips etc)
5.  Not even shit in McDonalds. Yes. I will eat lobster every day. Damn it.....

Shit...most lawyers could fuck up a "one car funeral"  :D

Now those CPA's....smart folks

Or he could just ask some of the hookers here to help him...some claim to be working on advanced degrees!

If you only really new the (hookers) that have those advanced degrees you wouldn't think so bad about lawyers. Plus you need a CPA and Lawyer on seed dial when you know how to make money or you already have it.

I love you people of the world you make smile and laugh.

Sorry there FE...but most guys know exactly what the score is on the "advanced degree" bullshit!

You do realize that many have been fucking hookers for a long time...and love it.  But the "I've got three degrees" shit is simply laughable.  And just remember...if I wanted to babble with a gal who is "college educated"...there's no shortage at any University library.  And most are a heluva lot hotter than the hookers that claim to be "college educated".

Just sayin!

I would just put all the money aside and do nothing with it for 6 months. That should give me enough time to cool my head and to think it through of what I would want to do with the money.

Before you even turn the winning ticket in (in most states, you have atleast 6 months from the winning draw date to redeem) you should set up a holding trust that will allow you deflect some of the tax payments and make easier for estate planning.

Then leave the country and live under 5 flags.

Five Flag Theory
Perpetual travellers may attempt to organize their affairs around the "Five Flags" theory, arranging for different facets of their lives to fall under the jurisdiction of separate countries or flags. This is W.G. Hill's own "2 flag" extension of investment advisor Harry Schultz's original "Three Flags" approach.
Whether to minimize governmental interference (via taxes or otherwise), or to maximize privacy, the theory proposes that you arrange for each of the following to be in a separate country:
Passport and citizenship - in a country that does not tax money earned outside the country or control actions.
Legal residence - in a tax haven.
Business base - where you earn your money, ideally somewhere with low corporate tax rates.
Asset haven - where you keep your money, ideally somewhere with low taxation of savings interest and capital gains.
Playgrounds - where you spend your money, ideally somewhere with low consumption tax and VAT.

Sheesh...if you're going to render tax advice at least do a better job of pretending you know what you're babbling about.

Trust tax rates...look it up!
