Since most of us are now waiting for Superbowl to start, I thought we should have a contest of our own!

What was the very first movie that addressed the sensitive issue of a romance between a provider and a john?

I hope the winner will get a "deeeeeeep" discount session with a cultured provider who likes movies!  If no one won, then I assume I will be the winner!

If a Provider won, then one of us should commit to reward her the best way we can!

Wife Helen returns to night club work to attempt to raise the money and becomes popular as the Blonde Venus. In an effort to get enough money sooner, she prostitutes herself to millionaire Nick Townsend. While Ned is away in Europe, she continues with Nick but when Ned returns cured, he discovers her infidelity. Now Ned despises Helen but she grabs son Johnny and lives on the run, just one step ahead of the Missing Persons Bureau. When they do finally catch her, she loses her son to Ned. Once again she returns to entertaining, this time in Paris, and her fame once again brings her and Townsend together. That is the first I can remember that had a relationship between a provider and a john.  1940's "Waterloo Bridge" had a great performance by Vivien Leigh as a provider, but her relationship with Robert Taylor was not as a john.  There were scenes of providers in 1929's "Diary of a Lost Girl" with Louise Brooks, but there were no relationships in play.

You can't be a "provider" for just one client.  It is not her occupation.  Disqualified! :P

Besides...the movie sucked!  According to the "Video Movie Guide" by Mick Martin and Marsha Porter, "This is a rambling, incomprehensible piece of glitzy flufF!" :P :P :P

"What was the very first movie that addressed the sensitive issue of a romance between a provider and a john?"

these are the total stated parameters for the contest. i see no stipulation that the provider service multiple clients, nor a requirement that the movie be a GOOD one.

according to Webster (school & office edition, 1990):

prostitute: one who hires oneself out for sexual intercourse

and

provide: to furnish or supply (provider, one who provides)

the 1932 film "blonde venus" is specifically about the 'sensitive issue of a romance between a provider, her john, and her husband'.

i demand that mr. self destruct's unfounded attack on my submission, as well as his subsequent shameless attempt to steal my prize, be disqualified.

i want everytthing i have coming to me :-)

I would never attack someone's submission.

"Bow down before the one you serve,
you're gonna get what you deserve!"

Everyone in TER (the forum we are within) knows that a provider is someone who does this for a living with strangers and does it more than just as an arrangement with one person for a period of time.  That is a paid girlfriend...not a provider.

Neener neener.

Also...you outta what?  Words?  Breath?  Money?  Coming out-a-da-closet?  Oh...you mean oughta!

Dang...I am starting to behave like Singleton...
