I live in the San fernado valley,L.A and I have been hearing about stings and well Im scared. I have not worked in a while and its all cause Im scared. The hobbiest has the reviews to know that we are not rip offs or cops. What do we providers have to go on? I say that for now on for us providers safty we ask the men if they have at least to girls for refrences and the girls must have reviews or an ad up and we providers should stick together and allow the men to give out are emails and phone numbers or web site address. I dont know about you girls out there but every guy I see I keep record Of them I put how much they paid. For what and how long. The cops are really cracking down on us and well we need to do this for are safety as well as keeping us from getting busted. Any other advise or suggetions would be great.

My second think is. Well what do guys prefer now that everyone is getting busted. Are you leaning more to:
 A) massage  B) Tantra   C) escort
I personally am thinking of getting out of escort and doing tantra at least then I can get a license for massage and I will be safe. The same for men. You would be just there for a massage and then the actual release doesnt happen till 15 minutes before the session is over and no cop is going to sit there for a whole 40 minutes. Any thoughts on this would be great.

I would start with refraining from posting your innermost inside thoughts and ideas of how to circumvent dangers to tip off LE as my first security measure to enforce.  I don't mean to come off cruel...but, please be aware. Don't kid yourself with false security based on silly ideas about what LE will or won't do..what cops "must" do. Some silly people still believe that if you ask a cop directly if he is a cop, and he lies to you...that you are off the hook.  And also...believe in the easter bunny. Please be safe and smart.

Trycandy,

I don't mean to come off as unsympathetic to the problem, for it is something that should be of great concern to us all, & I'm sure that to varying degrees it is.

But let me comment on one particular part of your post.  I personally think that such detailed record keeping not only puts yourself at even greater risk, but also poses a potential risk for every one of your clients.  And the "how much was paid" may be the worst possible thing you're doing.  Sure, a bust for prostitution would be bad enough, but a walk in the park if you get in hot water with the IRS.  If you've set up a front company & always declared all this income on your tax returns you have little to worry about in that regard.  However, it's my impression that if you have you would be an exception to the rule.

trycandy,

If you get a license for massage and get caught doing a lude act then your license will be taken away also I have known cops to get naked and go thru the 40 min massage before making a bust.  When you flip them over they will ask something like "Is this included?" or "Do you offer extra services?" They need to prove that the release is included in the session so they can arrest for prostitution.  If you outwit them and don't have a license then they will write you a ticket for massage without a license.

You just have to be careful and screen.

of your clients, how much they paid and for what they received?!?! Don't mean to bag on you, but have ever thought about making a video tape of you receiving money followed by you performing sexual acts for $, so when/if you get busted LE will have even more incriminating evidence on you? Seriously, if want to keep info on your clients for the purpose of networking with other providers, you should set up your database on a remote computer site and not on YOUR computer. GND can advise you on how to do this.

Also, in the past I've posted newspaper articles to this board, wherein, LE will even make busts after the completion of FS, so………….don't be relying on 40 minutes of massage to make that determination.

As I believe was posted somewhere on the LA board, records of financial transactions can not only be of interest to LE but the IRS as well.  You can bet dealing with LE would be the lesser of 2 m#therf#ckers compared to the IRS.  Follow "slickwillie's" advice and make sure those records of cash transactions are very, very well secured.

I wish I had written these words of wisdom...I'm sorry to say I did not. Thanks Steffie!

It has both TAX info (April 15th is fast approaching), Legal Issues of getting arrested and Website/Business Info for Providers. GREAT POST! I thought we could use a reminder.

Original Post Below
--------------------------------------------------------------

I received a very informative email recently from a webmistress of an escort directory. I thought I would share it with you.
1, Soon there is tax time!. Please do you taxes, I know we all have a cash business and if you have a checking account, take the time add everything up you deposited this year, this is the amount you should disclose on your taxes. If you ever get audited, that is exactly what the IRS will do. They will cross check your bank statement deposits with you Tax Return

2, Schedule C – If you are an Independent Escort/Entertainer you need to fill out a Schedule C (better yet, get an accountant). You can deduct everything from your Website hosting fees (advertising) to Incall (Studio for Entertainment) to clothing you wear when you go on a call to the furniture you keep at Incall, I know you all kept receipts RIGHT??. If you accept payments with Paypal by now you should have a business Paypal account. Like Susi’s Entertainers!! Use this name for your company name on the Schedule C. Also in schedule C add that you are an Entertainer (that fits all categories from Model, Clown to Escorts)

3, 1099 – If you are working for an Escort Service and they pay you in checks you will receive a 1099 at the end of year. You are basically like a sub contractor. No taxes have been taken out and you better do your taxes, because the IRS always looks closely to us Escort Services. The owners of the service you worked for fill out a Schedule C and put your information down as Independant Contractor, it’s a deduction to them, and trust me they do it.

4, LLC to be or not to be! – Did you know that as an Entertainer you can go LLC. Limited Liability Company with yourself? Do it! Its worth the 300 bucks you are spending on a lawyer. I tell you why in short. If for any reason you should have a problem with the LP in your City or State, they are able to freeze all your assets, take your home, computers, files, everything. If you are a LLC, they can only take what they find appropriate for ill-gotten gains. Basically your “Susi’s Entertainment LLC” and nothing else. They will try, but can’t.

Titbits!!! – To work or not to work for an Escort Service!

My personal opinion by now everybody knows, so I won’t bore you with repeating myself, since I had my huge share of run-ins with our lovely LE, but let see what the law says!

If you are working for an Escort Service and it goes belly up and lets say you were unfortunately caught with the hand in the cookie jar, you will be charged with a misdemeanor (solicitation), the owner will be charged with pandering.

If you are an independent and you get with the wrong person (LE) you are being charged with a felony (pandering), if you kept an Incall you get another charge (assignation), depending in what state you live in they might even try to charge you with sodomy and carnal knowledge (Virginia and MD are really bad about that) and to top it all off should you have minor children they can hang you for everything from Child neglect to Child abuse (Texas loves to do that).

Your Website! I noticed a lot of you gals and GUYS still use the word fullservice on your sites. You should really replace this. In the year 2001 the LE made it official to associate this word with Sex. So I would strongly suggest you change it to GFE (Girl Friend Experience)

Incall or Outcall? – After my run-in in 1999 I asked the LE which is harder to control, they told me incall. An average Entertainer who entertains in the privacy of their own surrounding the chances are only 15% while Outcall are 85% chance for you to have a run-in with the wrong person.

The holy Grail of the Internet – Yup it can make you a ton of money, but beware. There are lots of weirdos out there. Message Boards will make or break some girls, slander and idiot clients love to boost their ego by spilling their guts to look good to their fellow “hobbyists” I personally can’t stand those boards and believe me I have been around them since 1996 when Decadent City was the shit on the Internet. Our Income tripled but so did my gray hair, since I never knew what they are going to write about my girls.

To keep or not to keep! – The names of your clients. I did and it saved me about 5 years of my life. But hey its your life were talking about. Most rapes and killings are done by regulars! Not new clients!! If you don’t want to keep a “Black Book” at least leave some sort of description of the guy! John 4 pm has big grey BMW works at IBM and has a tattoo of a monkey on his ass. So if you end up dead at least your relatives or the police (ha ha) can find him. This is only for Independents I don’t know of any Escort Services who don’t have some sort of Client list.

You all be careful out there, there is a reason they call us!!

Thankfully I am very disorganized.  I have phone numbers all over the place... I finially just throw them away because I can't remeber who's numbers they are and whether I've seen the person or not.... how many Bob's are there? ;)  If I can't make sense of it I am sure they can't either.

If you are keeping detailed records, you might want to invest in some cryptography software. Keep your encrypted records on the computer in a folder called "Al Gore 1996 Policy Papers".

Greywolf is right about the IRS. You have more to fear from them, than from Vice.

Yo Steffie:

I'd much rather hear you preaching that providers should take more precautionary steps prior to seeing clients via networking with others, references, etc. rather than advocating catching the bad or wrong client after the woman has already been hurt or killed.

Additionally, using your approach, I would imagine hundreds of innocent clients get to be publicly investigated because you chose to have a date with the guy who has a tattoo of a monkey on his ass.

Okay... Stupid question here from a newbie.  Just how much do you have to make per year to make it worth the IRS's while to prosecute you for fraud?  I've pulled in about 5500, total; 3500 for me in the last two months.  Good goddessalmighty, ya'll are scaring the crap outta me (and no, that's not a service I provide).  I'm just tryin to finish a fricking degree here.  I do keep records on a spreadsheet.  I've found that the owner of the service (nice guy, and I basically trust him) has made a couple of errors in his favor.  Also, I like to remember details about the guys (e.g., their dogs' names, what they do for a living, and if the tipped me... which I never ask for).  Oy vay.  Help a paranoid escort!
