Gents - when you look at a website, what are the primary sections you look at first?

Me personally, I only look at the following:

1) Gallery page
2) Rates page
3) Calendar page
4) Contact/Scheduling page

Everything else is filler and is more suited for a Match.com ad.

I have many gentlemen mention they've read something in my blog..or bring me yellow roses, which means they read more than my rates page...

Then again, there are always those guys that call and say "HOW MUCH"??" which means they didn't even bother to read the rates page...

;-)

Well of course, I want to read about them and what they like and stuff. And of course their philosophy on life and love and.... BULLSHIT!

Of course, I look at the gallery first.  After all, you can't f*ck a philosophy of life!
And BTW, ladies, please stop with the music or sounds of love.  I don't need my SO running down to the basement wondering what I'm looking at on my PC.

Oh, Bill. There are a rash of ladies who will probably not write you and say that you hate women, but they are thinking just that. And maybe if you through in a bitch or two, you will be labled as a mysoginist. Somehow with you, I don't think it will cause you to pause.

None of those things convey personality...which, for me, is a key factor to connecting.

I put up as much as I can that I feel is relevent, as I feel that helps me attract those that are like minded.  The more you have in common to start with, the better the chances of an authentic connection during our meeting.

I look at the content on my site as part of my screening process...if you read it and it turns you off because it's too much info, or you don't understand what I'm saying and don't contact me, we've both just saved ourselves valuable time and energy in the long run.

Cheers!

First I look at the pictures, then the rates, and finally, if I'm still interested, I'll see how to make contact.  A girl's philosophy and all sorts of other shit I don't bother with because I don't care!  Furthermore, music on these sites is useless and distracting, most particularly if there are other people around.

personality-wise, because that gets me psyched up for the session.

Too bad providers don't have that luxury.  The poor women never know what to expect when they see me!

I always read the "About Me" pages, and "FAQs" (if they have them), I tend to not be able to work up any kind of decent lust if I don't "like" the person.  So, I also really enjoy blogs, chats and message board posts.

After that I will look at the gallery, because if my imagination isn't captured by her words or the personality/persona a lady dispalys then what she loks like won't effect my interest much...

Following that, then rates, conyacy , etc...

Then again, I'm not a gent, so I might be skewed a bit in my perspecive...

It is infrequent, but some providers put a wealth of interesting reads on their site.  Interesting diaries, blogs, erotic fiction (and not so fiction) as well as interesting links.

Look no further than the slut rants on Beverly Fishers site.

It got me hooked.

I think some of the ladies site are truly beautiful and entertaining.
Many times, I was tempted to redo my site like that, but, I think like a guy when it comes to this business.
So, my site doesn't have any flash or fancy graphics that takes forever to load.
Neither music, wishing list or extensive description of my likes & dislikes.
When a guy is looking for a girl, he wants the basics only:
* gallery
* rates
* services offered
* schedule & availability
* form of contact
He is not looking for his soulmate, but for a companion to satisfy his needs for a hour or two.
Most guys do not have much online time (or privacy) at work or in their homes to "look" for us.
Reason I keep it simple and easy.

Hey GR,
You're way off base.  If you and other WK's want to get all wet thinking that you see spend your hobbying $$$ on personality, then fool yourselves.  I want to be with hot women who know what they're doing in bed.  Many of them have great personalities which is a big plus.
But I don't make any pre-judgements based on the pablum they post on their websites!

Betty has a great site.  She gears her info towards the type of clients she wants to attract and seems to do quite well as a result.  Hopefully all ladies do that with their marketing, as finding like minded people to do business with is what makes for win-win situations.

There is no *one* way to market though...

(insert your favorite cliché about variety here).

Happy humping!

OK, I am a little self concious saying this after the responses so far, but i love to read the 'filler' on a lady's site.  Of course the pictures, rates, and schedules are primary concerns, but after the carnal and economic questions have been addressed, if i am interested in meeting them then i am interested in learning something about them.  So i love to read 'about me' and 'interests' and i'd love to see more blogs too.  I'm just weird.  Please ladies, keep posting the fluff.  I love it.

The point I think that was missed was that when we hobby we are not trying out for the part in the school play. We solely want to know what does this lovely lady have in the way of physical attributes.

Shallow? Yes, but the point to the hobby is that many of us simply want the benefit of the physical experience. Few want an extended relationship. That said, whimsical prose will not sell us it will annoy us at best. Photos that document attributes sell us on the experience far more than any prosaic bantering on a website ever will.

I hope this does not give you pain as your site is arguably one of the most thought-out sites of it's genre. Unfortunately, it is like selling caviar to a dog, he doesn't really care that it cost $600/oz he only Care's about his belly being full. That analogy is fitting to many hobbyists because in the end, sadly we are all dogs. :)

For such a beautiful lady as yourself, please take this feed back in the spirit in which it was offered, not as a slam but simply feedback.

Stay well.

There are different marketing demographics depending on what or who you're selling.

1)  Keep it minimal
2)  No distracting sounds
3)  "DO" give a small biography for those
   gentlemen who "DO" read your biography page.
4)  Some men actually pay attention to websites
   but they still don't want to pan through
   a lot of adjectives and bad writing.
5)  I find pictures depicting different settings,
   clothing (or not) are good for the viewer.

Other than that, this is all I have to say on the subject matter. Everyone has their own philosphy and what works best for them. ;)

Hugs,
ciara

I can't speak for all guys on here, but I know I am not the only one who looks at more than you describe.  Maybe it is because I am single, but I like to know more about the woman I am seeing.  I agree with WT...info pages are great.  I love it when someone has a page with as much stuff as Megan, because it is that much more for me to know about when I can experience with the lady.

Thank God that there are more flavors of hobbyists than Baskin Robbins ever heard of. If the hobby were truly made up solely of men whose only interest is finding a woman who knows her way around the bedroom, I'd be burned out, bored, and done already. How boring can you get?

To each their own, and to each their own pespective on the hobby. So if that's all you want, more power to you.

It occurs to me to wonder why anyone would care what someone else chooses to include on their website. Honestly....if the essentials (pics, rates, calender, contact) are there, why do you care what else is included? If you don't want to read a lady's blog, don't click the page. Pretty simple really.

Some men ARE in fact interested in what makes a lady tick, and for them, I offer tidbits of humor, and a bit of personal information. If you don't want to read it, don't. I find it gratifying though, that the majority of men I meet make some sort of referrence to something I've written on my website. From the embarassing moment I wrote about, to my lead foot as chronicled in a blog entry, or my views on the Iraq war, even the books I mention....its all come up at one time or another with one gentleman or another.

The point that matters is that its really not up to you dictate what a lady includes on her website, and what you consider to be "filler" others find to be a treasure. So shut up, don't click on the page, and stop whining hon. Lose the alias too. Why hide behind a name? Don't be embarrassed that you are shallow, just be embarrassed that your panties got so bunched that you had to sound off on a message board.

I especially agree with "keep it minimal" and "small biography". The bio page is something that is expected, but keeping it short is the best; I tend to not read it if it is long. Bio helps if it makes my dick hard. :-)

Oh...you love me BUT...  Ya know, Dr. Phil says that when you use the word "but", it cancels everything you said before it in the sentence.  Really, it's sweet of you to try and sugar coat what you said...BUT speaking plainly (and yes, without slams) is much more to the point.  My skin, although delicate, is not that thin...

And you actually miss *MY* point more then I do of the others...but that's ok, you aren't the only one.

My girlfriend Bebedoll www.Bebedoll.com is another one that has a site that doesn't follow some traditional canned ham approach of "gallery, rates, contact, schedule".  There are not even a full handful of pictures...and text that for some is painful to decipher in her stream of consciousness.  But she is genuine, and authentic in being who she is *first*, and attracting those that are like minded is a way to stay true to herself in the work she does.  And guess what?  She's pretty damn successful...  Imagine that, making a living and not selling out to what others tell you *they* think you should be doing...what a gloriously happy life it is, and profitable in ways that money could never be...

Do you get it now?? :-)

All my best,

xoMegan

Maybe the 'you can't f*ck a philosophy' part was a bit over the top.  However, I usually spend 1-2 hrs with a provider and, shocking as it may seem, my primary interest is in filling that time with as much sex as possible.  Yes, I can keep up my end of a conversation, but really we both know why guys see providers.  Primarily, it's for the sex. Anyone who says different is a liar or fooling themselves.
Yes, there can be some other underlying reasons: affection, friendship (I have to supress my gag reflex writing that word), whatever. Even those aren't really valid.  The affection is paid for and the friendship is  bought also.  After all, how many clients does any provider see during off-hours just to hang out?  Maybe 1 or 2 out of 50 or a 100?
My point is that any guy who spends a paid hour with a provider and has any lasting feelings of love or friendship is pathetic!  Now, if a guy becomes friends with a provider, takes her on a trip and/or sees her outside the hobby, that's another thing.  Then that's two people getting to know each other as real, complete people.  Just as most providers are real people with real life issues and not 24/7 sexpots, us hobbyists aren't consumed about sex 24/7.  OOPS, there goes that theory shot to shit!
Anyway you know what I mean.  And, I'll use an alias anytime I damn well choose.  I got tired of receiving flaming email from providers and White Knights who disagreed with what I had to say.

1) Rates (very important)

2) Pictures (Dressed or undressed, but not "processed" or "photoretouched")  The worse thing is the page full of embossed or solarized pictures in which you cannot discern the real person.

3) Some text about you, but nothing longer than say 2-3 paragraphs, so we can get to know you.

4) Most importantly, SPELL CHECK!  Please also check your grammar too.  The worse thing is reading a woman's ramblings where there are multiple words spelled incorrectly.  Saying you are upscale and spelling multiple words incorrectly is something that does not "jive".

for those who choose to use it.  Thank goodness many gents do.  Those of us ladies who put "personality" into our sites are catering and calling to those gentlemen.  For those gentlemen who do want a feel of who they fvck, the "filler" is often essential.

Knowing about a bit about a lady also helps many men feel comfortable enough TO enjoy the time to the best of their abilities with a minimal of self-depreciation and guilt.  (No, I don't think it belongs here, but it's unfortunately rampant.)

I agree with the statement, who are you to care what's on a lady's site?  If you don't like it, don't read it... and since a lady takes great pains to draw the clients she is looking for, please simply DON'T book with her.

Maybe it is wrong, but if it is, then like the song says, "I don't want to be right."

The connection used to be very rare, owing to two things:  My shyness when I was young, and the hit-or-miss manner of finding providers in the want ads.

With the onset of the internet, it is easier now.

Making a connection makes the experience much more satisfying.

I have no delusions about what it is that is established, but as two people, we have the possibility to do more than just do some close calesthenics.
