Maybe one day she will display some acting talent to go along with her ego? (And please...for you "Dark Angel" fans out there, you can thank James Cameron, David Nutter, and half the Vancouver X-Files crew before you thank her).  

I don't know whether she is really this ignorant (Uh, Jess...Playboy SAYS when it has nude pics of a celebrity inside...like "Jessica Alba Nude!") or it is just a marketing ploy, but I wonder when her 15 minutes are going to be up.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Playboy won't pull its March issue over actress Jessica Alba's claim that she was made an unwitting cover girl to fool readers into thinking she is nude inside, the magazine said on Friday.

"Playboy has done nothing wrong, so there is no reason to pull our issue off of newsstands," spokeswoman Lauren Melone said.

Alba accuses Playboy of violating her rights and misleading the public by getting a publicity photo from her 2005 movie "Into the Blue" from Sony Pictures and running it on the cover -- complete with a bunny logo superimposed on her bikini top.

Lawyers for Alba, 24, have threatened to sue Playboy unless the issue was pulled off the stands and demanded that the "Fantastic Four" star be compensated for damage to her image.

They also accuse Playboy of duping Sony Pictures into supplying a photo of the Golden Globe-nominated actress, wearing a multicolored bikini and sporting a belly ring, for the cover.

Playboy said Alba was placed on the cover after being chosen "sexiest star of the year" by its readers. She was included inside the magazine in an article on the top 25 sexiest celebrities as chosen in an online poll.

The magazine added that celebrities routinely grace its cover without appearing naked inside.

I guess Alba's never heard of the old saying: "There's no such thing as 'bad' publicity."

Look at it this way. As noted in the article, many celebrities appear on the cover without being naked inside. For example, Donald Trump has been on the cover, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that no one ever wants to see him without clothes.

most girls are naked!  I wish she would get that damn mole cut off from her chin though! Such a shame to have a flawlessly perfect body face spoiled by one glaring flaw!
 Still, if I crawled up her hole and died today, I would leave this life feeling absolutely complete!

she's drop dead gorgeous. she doesn't want to pose naked. she says she could never face her father again. the world, of course wants to pressure her into posing naked, and i'm sure it never crossed playboy's mind that a few guys might plunk down a few bucks being fooled into expecting to see her naked inside. uh-huh.

there are lots of crummy actors and actresses out there who are ugly; how come we are only offended by the beautiful ones? jessica alba, like hundreds of others, is doing the best she can with what she has to work with - and what she has is what a good portion of the american public wants. i don't know anything about what kind of person she is, what goes on inside her head, what she wants out of life, or what she has to offer - and neither do you. so i wouldn't attack her for refusing to pose naked or for getting angry when she thinks someone is trying to exploit her, i would cheer for her.

on one of the late night talk shows, and she seemed quite grounded and reasonably intelligent, which is more than I can say about the Paris Hiltons, Nicole Ritchies and Lindsey Lohans out there.  Not only am I NOT tired of her, I wish I could see MORE of her!!

Fuck all of these star-crossed empty-headed bimbos. Our biggest addiction is worrying about what they are going to do next. I say ignore them. She'll be passed around like most of the others and when rode hard and put away wet, she'll be just another pathetic has-been.

Can you imagine how actors feel at times? Certain publicity they don't need or want but just because they are actors, many people think they are always suppose to be in the public limelight. I know it would be frustrating for me. Luckily, I haven't hit that status yet nor will probably ever, but I'd sure like the money she makes so I can help my family and friends out of their medical problems, etc. Wink!

Below is the NYTimes link on these cuts. Hard to estimate from this article, but it looks like the percent cut will be ~20-30%. This is about the level that other research programs in NIH, NSF, CDC, NOAA etc. are being sliced.

I suppose it's to be expected that they would be cutting back on NASA space science, what allowing the Hubble Space Telescope to crash and burn, rather than mount a salvage operation.

Here's a quote from the article: "Fiona Harrison, a physicist at the California Institute of Technology, said she first learned from a news conference that her own Explorer project, an X-ray satellite observatory called NuStar, was being cancelled after several years of development. Dr. Harrison said that she had been invited to reapply in 2008, but that in the meantime she had to tell her graduate student to find another thesis project.

Dr. Harrison said she was thinking of leaving the country or perhaps even the field of astrophysics...."

Sounds like a plan to me...end research programs and drive Caltech professors out of the U.S. and/or science.

Just wait until she's gone the route of other actresses that have been forgotten and wants some publicity to let everyone know she's still out there.  She'll be calling Playboy to do a pictorial.
