If she wants a deposit or payment upfront otherwise, I promise it's a scam.
I had a provider say that she would not take cash -- only zelle and paypal. She was new to the area and in a hotel and all of a sudden the combination of things felt like a set up to me. i can see some reasons not to take cash -- you cant get robbed -- but I had never seen that and it left me uncomfortable. So I said screw it. Anyone have similar experiences, or reactions to this?
I have never heard of a gal not taking cash, so this is a new one to me. Was she wanting all of the funds before she saw you? That would be a red flag. Otherwise the only other thing I could think of is that she has received counterfeit money in the past and this is her way of preventing this from happening.
That would make me nervous as well. I dont do Zelle or PayPal either.
Same here. Obvious you haven’t tried to pursue anyone on Snapchat. Nobody takes cash there. Most if not nearly all are probably fakes. Same with some of the lowball successors to Backpage. And nobody ever talks on the phone.
using PayPal or Zelle. PayPal is very unfriendly to sex workers and has been known to boot them without due process. Zelle reportedly allows the name of the account holder to be seen by the other party. There was a thread on that here awhile back. So unless you use an alias on your bank account or trust the other party with your real name, avoid using Zelle for payments to providers.
I have had funds held by PayPal for over 6 months & my account terminated because a guy put on n the memo when sending deposit for session. I would not recommend PayPal. I know me personally after having regular friends for over a decade many just deposit funds directly prior to sessions because at this point in the relationship it’s not about getting paid by the hour. It’s nice to get the contribution out of the equation, so we can focus on the fun. Many clients don’t mind paying in full prior to the date it’s okay by me. Trust is a must.
I don’t know if these are the concerns of this particular woman, but it is a possibility.
Near where I live there is even a Dairy Queen that stopped taking cash.
Never heard of this one before. It does sound suspicious.
Who wound want a paper trail…

I have to agree that it's a very odd thing and it would certainly make me leery.

Yet many really upscale providers have gone down that road.
Ask why, don't be left guessing or having to form your own option.
You didn't say if she is established (having reviews) or what site you found her on. Nonetheless, I never met anyone who said cash is not an option, indeed, it's usually number on.
There is a guy in the Baltimore, MD who used cashapp. The feds locked him because they were able to trace what he did. The provider he saw got in trouble with LE and decided to give up information on him.
...because all of the providers have a very high bar for integrity and operating in an ethical manner. Many will actually sign a NDA so they're contractually bound with a legally enforceable code of silence. In fact, there are many that will explain all of that to you when they request the exact personal information that can/will ruin your life if it gets out that you p4p. Laughable at best trying to sue Patti Prettipussi for damages when all you got on her is a gmail addy and an address of where she (or someone on her behalf) rented a room.
OK, ya, bullshit on all that but I do wonder what/why the "feds" wanted to go after a lone guy for buying time with a provider. Seems like they've got bigger issues to chase.
This guy paid girls using CashApp, and the Feds used that to bolster their case against him. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
At first I thought the other guy was being sarcastic about his "never would happen" stance but in the end did seem like he was being serious. I have some sympathy for his point.
You might want to do a 60 second search. Seems there might be more than just a random john getting pulled in (but agree using an app like Paypal or Zelle is unwise). Some of the facts of the case don't paint a particularly pretty picture.
Aside from the whole payment aspect the other moral I take away here is just stay the fuck away from addicts 'cus the drama really has no bounds. Doubly so if you actually own a drug abuse treatment business!
Thought it would be obvious that I was being sarcastic but I still added the Ya, ok, bullshit on that part…before I said anything about the feds chasing bigger game
Your guy has his nuts in a vise because he created a paper trail that led to him from a perp being charged with sex TRAFFICKING. It’s no wonder he’s been arrested! HT busts make great headlines for politically inspired DA’s, LEO as well as politicians. If this were one guys romp with a sex worker in normal relations, the feds would have zero interest in a local misdemeanor.
