Three separate times today I saw posts (plus one ad) in which a provider "peaked" someone's interest. It's "piqued." Got that?
because the littlest things annoy the shit out of me.
I'm definitely a member of the spelling and grammar police, yet I keep my mouth shut around here because I don't want everyone to know how anal retentive I am, and I don't use an alias.
I can't stand this one another minute, though. When you "lose" something, it means you can't find it - or when you "lose" a game, it means you didn't win. "Loose" is the opposite of "tight", and I won't go into any specific examples, you know who you are
. And don't tell me it's a damn typo, I see you spelling it that way multiple times in a paragraph.
Stop writing "... you might loose the opportunity ...". Right now. Stop it, I mean it.
'The close came off quickly'
No actually your clothes came off quickly.
I could go on but I'll let others add to the list.
Chiguy
and The Cunning Linguist, before those two aliases were senselessly butchered. And sloppy posting used to make me crazy, too. I care about it much less than I used to because it's pointless trying to educate people who just don't give a shit how ignorant they make themselves appear. I do have one suggestion, however. Most of the really stupid errors would never see the light of day if posters would simply read through what they've written and correct it before hitting "post message."
Thank you.
PS: angelexotic is exempt from all the rules because she's adorable and hot.
Those are also very common errors that I see.
...I am excluded from joining you on that hi horse 'cause I to often post without checking my wurk
Yup ur gettin old. dont wurry about it. yur not a totle looser.
Thanks B_I_B. I don't know how you do it day in and day out. It took me more time to write those few sentences then to do it properly. Now I have a migraine.
I realized there are more important things in Life to worry about. The older I get the more accepting of peoples foibles I become.
Attacking grammar is like moaning about the toothpaste...... Usually there are bigger problems at work causing ......
I get annoyed when I see folks pissing all over the boards about stupid shit and I look at reviews and see they have a shit load of disastrous, 1st time, "cheap ass", reviews of providers.
Who'd want to see you?
"Good Sex" is more than getting your "EF'ing" rocks off.
I'd worry about getting a "Good Fuck" and being able to write an acceptable review...... Maybe then some dispositions would change.
However, I can agree in principal with the OP..... it's pretty lazy when TER has all the misspelled words squib-bled in red for you to edit before you post.
FWIW: Among other things, I look at grammar, vocabulary ..... how articulate a provider is in my vetting process.

many things annoy the hell out of me as well! Yes, a guy who can write is a total turn on for me, but I also realize that everyone makes mistakes. It is the common sense shit, that is easily fixed, but some are too lazy to bother with it. English and Literature were always my best subjects, and I am no stranger to writing a 50 page thesis, but I lack in areas involving any kind of Math or Geography.
For some, it is just the opposite so you can't really fault them. People who are great with Statistics and Quantitative Analysis, wonder how anyone else can be so dumb founded by those things, and those who excel in English, wonder why others can't seem to grasp something so simple.
It's not age, it's just experience. Once you master something, you somehow assume everyone else should also have it mastered lol. That's just human nature...nothing to go slitting your wrists over.

Common Sense, that is a huge pet peeve of mine! Or also inconsiderate drivers really piss me off lol
People who are addicted to their damn cell phones, are the most annoying. They are like walking zombies who can't even look up, because they allow a damn device to dictate their life. So glad, I no longer depend on one lol. It's so freeing to NOT be like everyone else living in the clouds.
I have driven, extensively, in Boston, NYC, Hartford, Jersey, etc, but truly the worst drivers on the planet are here in SW Virginia. Not that they drive fast or reckless, just that NOBODY here seems to know the rules. "Right of Way" is a vague concept that escapes everyone's grasp.
The definition of a driving "stalemate" is four Virginians, one at each point of a 4-way stop sign.
I'm the same way. Illiteracy is just as big a turnoff to me as asking for a discount in an introductory email.

Could be bad spelling, could be a copycat thing. 'If I've PEAKED your interest, please send me an email' has almost become a stock TER ad line. I wonder if girls just see it in a bunch of ads, and think it sounds cute.
