I had never actually seen her, but she looked identical to a girl I saw advertizing on EROS in the Midwest a few months back, AND she told me during the interview she just relocated from the the exact place where I had seen the ad (won't mention specifics here).  I'm usually pretty good with faces and she showed her face in the ad, so I'm 99.99% sure its her.  Most interesting interview I've ever had for sure.

I always thought that playing away from home was the safer move, but I never expected to have the hobby come to me. I'm just glad I passed on her (among other things there were no reviews) or else it could have been an very awkward interview to say the least

BTW, she is qualified and has made it on to the second round.  She will be reporting to one of my managers if we hire her, but I'm going to have some input into the final decision.  At this point she's the most qualified and gets my vote

From the scenario you describe, you have a lot to lose if you in any way let her know what you believe you know.  I sense you are smart enough to understand this.  But the hard part, assuming she is hired, will be interacting with her and not giving off any signals that you are looking at her (or interacting with her) in any way that is different from the other women in the office.
I also sense that you would not stoop so low as to blackball her because of what you know, and that's good.  But, man, will you need to tread carefully!

The thing to do is forget that you may or may not have seen her advertising. If she gets the job she gets the job, you seem to suggest that the final decision is out of your hands so her success will depend on her merits and her merits alone, which is how it should be. Even if you are involved in the interview process you should put all other thoughts out of your mind.

Despite your knowledge of faces it is entirely possible that she only resembles the lady you saw advertised, whether she showed her face or not it is impossible to be sure unless you met her, which you said you didn't.

If you say anything to her and you're mistaken she may be offended and you and your firms lawyers may have some explaining to do. If it is her she may feel you have this secret over her and may want something in return, though it doesn't sound like it from your post.

In either case it is none of your or anyone else's business if she gets the job or not, she should be judged on her ability to do the job and nothing else.

Everyone is entitled to a past and everyone is entitled to a future.

Besides, we've all walked down the street and thought we've recognised people we know, people we've seen in pictures, in movies or on TV only to be mistaken, it's possible this may be another example

and he seems to be fine with it.

The OP and I are hardly friends, but he seems to definitely be taking the high road here, I think your admonishments are a bit unjustified.

Personally I have no problems hiring hookers, or ex hookers, and I have knowingly done so on more than one occasion. My only concern when doing so is which occupation is going to come first in their life, and are they going to blow off work to take an "appointment" that pays five times what I am paying her for the same amount of time?

I am in a bit different circumstance than the OP as I am the owner of my company and I am rather open about my whore mongering, so I might have actually asked her is the name "_______" meant anything to her, and we could have had quite a laugh.  That is not an option for 99.99999% of the people out there.

I agree he seems to be fine with it and there doesn't seem to be any indication that he would act improperly

I certainly didn't mean my comments to come across as admonishments and if they appeared that way I apologise, that wasn't my intention, and I hope my comments weren't taken that way.

I suppose this is one of those curious occasions when this world overlaps with our public world.

Is just that.. PRIVATE..

If she is qualified and you feel as if she is a good fit in your company..
HIRE her. but do it for only that reason...

NEVER, EVER mix business and play!....

o, if she was a drug dealer in her private life, that should be ok too? Not. Bottom line...employers don't tend to hire those who engage in ILLEGAL activities. This is the very reason they do extensive background checks. Qualified or not, you can be turned down for your past.

He is an exception because if he played the moral card, he would be a hypocrite whilst doing the same thing himself. That is generally not the case when some moralistic female is the one doing the hiring. She will boot you in a heartbeat, if she never took part in the hobby.

It looks bad on said company if these things are later discovered. Like it or not, that's just the way it is. The company will lose a huge percentage of business, if certain things get out about one of their employees

Has a record and this presents a problem for the company then of course it is not a good idea to hire said person....

He is making an assumption that she is a provider..

I did not say it but It apparently needs to be said..

Common sense 101..

Well, actually I can imagine what would happen, NOTHING!!!

I really don't care what someone did in their past, unless it was dishonest of course, and the news that I had a hooker working for me would be underwhelming to say the least. I have hired hookers in the past, and I expect I will do so in the future.

I have absolutely no problems hiring an ex hooker, or even an active one with one caveat. Her job with me must take priority over her job as a hooker. If I find that she skipped work to "entertain" a client of hers at the expense of what she is supposed to be doing for me then her ass (cute as it might be) would be out of here on the spot.

Of course this goes for "out of work wannabe actors", or anyone else who has priorities in life above and beside what they do for me. I encourage people to go for their goals and try to improve their station in life, but not on my dime.

Love you.. GaGambler! I am amazed of the number of folks on this site that are so judgemental
and stuck in the mudd!

That's because YOU are a hobbyist, and have admitted on numerous occasions you don't care who knows about it. The real world does not often work that way. If it did, I would not have to HIDE what I do here.

Nurses kicked out of school for being escorts/former porn stars,  teachers fired for ONLY having nude photos taken by a BF, and not actually being escorts, etc. People expecting the corporate world to bend over for them and their past, are beyond deluded. You're lucky if you even get a male doing the hiring these days...women are usually the ones in Human Resource positions, and they are just as catty as ever.

Retired-Guy1203 reads

We outsource our HR function, but the HR consultant was a woman and not quite as young or attractive as the candidate, and she took exception to her on a few minor issues, which were not performance related at all.  On the other hand, my executive assistant who is a 63 year old grandmother, just loved her, and IMHO, she is a far better judge of character.

The "grandmotherly" types don't seem to be judgmental at all, but the average looking or less women in their 30's-40's have the sharpest claws of all. They resent all hotties and blame all their failures in life on men, and women that are hotter than them. So when they have to chance to "get even" they do so with a vengeance.

and yes LR, I freely admit I am the exception and not the rule, and it gives me great pleasure to give a hearty "Go Fuck Yourself" to corporate America. If I were stuck in the corporate world you would probably see me on the late night news as that guy who just snapped one day, yep that would be me. lol

That's why I wonder if / when attitudes will change. If you look at all the ladies currently doing webcam, they can't ALL be forever ostracized / outed / fired.

Dear GaGambler:
I am just wondering since you double as an employer and a hobbyist, would you be more sympathetic to those who happen to be from that world since you know that these women did not have anything easily given to them? Also would you say that those who would fall into that class of employee would be more reliable than a lot of other women who aren't in that category because they know if they don't work then they don't get paid?

GaGambler1200 reads

Yes, you nailed it DL, all of us are biased at least a little, and I will admit that I am at least a little biased TOWARDS women that might have been a hooker at one time for the very reasons you suggest.

As for them being more reliable, I don't know if I can agree with that or not. That is more dependent on the individual, some hookers are BSC and as unreliable as an 83 Jaguar, while others are among the most reliable people that you will ever meet.

BTW thank you for wording your question in rather plain English for a change. It did not go unnoticed.

Perhaps he has taken a remedial posting course as part of his GED studies.  As for SPOTY, I'd say simple47 still has a long lead.  Ridge and Udo have jumped back into contention with their latest lame-ery and The Dungbeetle is "bringing up the rear," as his most recent posts have been simply innocuous.
So the question is, should there be a time limit to the SPOTY contest, or is it a never-ending tournament?

GaGambler1309 reads

We are only halfway there, and there are new contenders everyday it seems. SingledigitIQ is a perfect example a couple of weeks ago no one had ever heard of him and now he is the odds on favorite to win it all.

In short I don't really have the answer, Maybe we could do a SPOTM award and have all of those winners entered into the SPOTY awards similar to how Playboy does with their Playmates? Just an idea, what do you think?

I like your SPOTM idea.  Let the sweepstakes begin!  But as of now it's simple47 by a neck!
PS:  Conan The Grammarian asked me to point out that SPOTY does not "infer" but "implies" "of the year."  He says, "Gambler, remember, Conan implies, you infer."  Now back to your regularly scheduled idiocy.

any guesses???

Now my biggest challenge is how to set the "morning line" without having the post pulled.

No one really knows what that means...especially LE

These hookers are fucking geniuses  LOL

Oh...you meant TER admin?  Yea...they'll be OK with it too!

If the lady is just a cog in the machinery of the company, if it comes out, nothing much would happen to the company (didn't know, can't control their private life, etc.). However, in high profile positions (spokesman for the company, etc.), the person's private life could cause problems for the company. But, probably like athletes, you would just dump the spokesman when they are exposed, and move on.

Especially the part where I'm advised not to bring up what I think I might know about her to her...priceless.  Who in their right mind would do that?

For me, she's competent, qualified, and sexually I have no interest in her.  I don't civy date ever, and I definitely don't sh!t where I eat.  Whether it's her or not, I'll never be 100% sure, but I'd be willing to bet at least low six figures that she's the same girl.

If she has a record, that will be vetted during the background check, but if that's clean, I see no reason not to hire her.  Sure there is a risk that she will continue certain illegal behaviors at night and on the weekend, but even I occasionally speed driving to work.

You do more than just "speed drive" to work to break the law.
As long as her criminal background check comes up clean - so what? What if someone found out that you "hobby"? You run the same risks as her - just that you don't do it as often as her.
Of course, she may not even be a provider; but if she wants to have a legitimate employment more power to her. Don't mean for this to sound negative about you in any way; just my 2 cents.

Retired-Guy1383 reads

I didn't read this as negative at all.  I'm clearly not pure as the wind driven snow, but if she engages in other employment (self-employed or otherwise) she will be in violation of her employment agreement.  We pay pretty well, and expect our employees to be monogamous in their work endeavors. Ironic isn't it.

Yea, but you must admit the women are branded with the big "S" whilst men are often given a slap on the wrist. Yes, double standards still exist today, and I am not saying that about the OP, but in general. The world views prostitutes as dumb, filthy, desperate creatures and the guys who see them, as just men doing what men do. Look at all the cases where celebrities and politicians were caught with hookers, and how their lives did not skip a beat. They still won elections, got promoted, and one even got a damn talk show.

This is why so many of us fight to keep our private lives away from this business, because we know the fall out if it were ever discovered. I can't imagine any sane person spending money and time to get an education, just to toss it all in the toilet to make a point about hypocrisy.

I agree with you although there are some providers as we all know who do deserve that stereotype. I have been lucky enough in the very few ladies i have seen are women that I would actually love to date and or be friends with. But then again i am very selective in who i choose to see. If you were in Charlotte you would definately be on my short list.

She knows business and psychology.

That's usually a pretty good start to any business career.

U are living many mens fantasies. Take it further! U have my vote!

Did you ask in the interview if she is CIM ?

Retired-Guy1272 reads

Which means that she was gainfully employed over the past two years in the city I saw her ad.  With all the commentary here yesterday, I did a search and found a cached version of the ad, but with this one had blurred pics, and I was reminded that she only worked after 6pm and on weekends, which further supports the fact pattern that she had a regular job (hence the legit employment verifications), but was likely moonlighting on the side.

I'll never really know for sure, but tomorrow we are extending the offer.  You know I'll be keeping an eye on the local boards to see if she posts again here in New England.  Not that I can do anything about it if she does, but it will be interesting to see.

Personally I don't care what she does after hours; corporately it would be a violation of the employment agreement.  I'm just hoping we can get her to accept, because she's got talent...no not that kind of talent..well she may have that kind of talent, but I'll never find out.

If nothing else, this has raised my level of vigilance.  I've always thought that hobbying on the road and 'fly-me-to-you' options were far safer options, but after this little encounter, I'm rethinking that notion.

She's not on TER, and New England is a pretty big area.  I'm not going to lose sleep.  Plus now the offer isn't going out tomorrow...HR snafu, but soon.

What if she sees this post?

I'd give serious consideration to her IF she was qualified.  Lot's of Gals provide for a time...  then move on to another life.  I would give her that opportunity, so long as it did not negatively impact my business.
