Would You Work For A Woman?

Just heard we may get a female Managing Director.

And I thought OH SHIT not again.  Last time I had a female boss all she did
was go workout and talk about her daughters basketball games.  

Not to mention I think she secretly wanted to bang me.  (seriously I thought that but she wasn't my type - and I will fuck damn near anything).

Anyway gotta get back upstairs will post more of my thoughts at home tonight.

And I don't give a shit how this sounds.  Working for a woman was not pleasant in my experience.  She resented the hard charging ways of several guys in the office.  Yes, she was smart but that is not the only part of a job.

I worked for one who was an idiot.

This what she actually put down on my review; “ you know too much about the business” so, I ask her what is the problem with that? She says, it intimidates others. So, I decided, she is looking for idiots and decided to find another job to get away from her.

Facts don’t change because you don’t like them or it is not politically correct. On the other hand, I have also worked with females who are very intelligent. The only difference is, they were colleagues and not bosses.

There were always pluses and minus for them all, and I never registered there being much difference regarding their issues. Good chance that if you don't like one or the other, you will find fault with the one you think will not be a good boss, and be blind to the same faults in the one whom you believe will be a better boss.  Just a theory!  ;)

Hi,
... and, @ times, a pain in the butt! But, things got done under her watch & there were seldom any problems!! When she left things got out of hand, until a few supervisors later!! So, yes , she turned out, in hindsight , to be a wonderful boss!! Through the years I've had wonderful women bosses & became good friends w/a few of them!!  Women are Mother Nature's finest creations!! :D

agree with this...i've had same experience.

The way the asshole qualities manifested was nuanced by their sex in my experience...but...end result was still misery for me and others in the same boat in both cases.  

I'm fortunate to have had two very good bosses also...one of each sex...over the years.  i've learned from all and I am now a boss of many...so...I try not to be that asshole boss..while still kicking ass and taking names.

Oh..and please don't let ridgetucky represent your image of the Buckeye State.   There are plenty of us that have a couple brain cells to rub together.  

It's not a half bad place to live in spite of the three season we get to experience:

1) cold-wet-mush
2) orange-construction-barrels
3) 100% humidity

In many cases...2 overlaps with 1 and 3.

In any case...there are some cool people here :)  come check it out sometime.

There are MANY females on Wall Street that are MDs.  Not sure if you got the memo.  A few of them even made partner at Goldman, I'm pretty sure.  

First, you need to stop stereotyping.

Second, not every woman wants you.

Third, if you are so hung up on working for a woman...you got some major issues.  Which is no surprise to us.

Whatever happened of your big bonus where you were gonna offer to pay some TER guy to get involved in a gangbang with you?

You better stop typing...the parents are coming upstairs to check on you, kid.
