Obviously not all men like hairy backs otherwise there would not be such an industry for the removal of hair from guy's backs. Don't wory about it most men and women think hair on a guy's face is a turn off too.

My "problem" (!) is that I just like men - hairy,not hairy, whatever.  But as individual, I'm sure you'll find SP tastes are also very individual on that score.

if they are very hairy, they must shave or trim. Overall, men need to keep their privates trimmed or shaved. Oh, the same with the shoulders and back hair.
But, I do like men with hair, just not excessive hair.
(ps.) Please trim the nose, ear and eyebrow hairs if they are hanging out.

Some women simply do not care that much.

Some women say that they do not like hairy guys (in particular, "hairy backs"), though I've heard that a lot more from non-providers than providers.

I've heard some women (providers and non-providers), including my current S.O., tell me that they prefer their guys hairy -- that they think it makes the guys more "manly".  Sure, sometimes this is lip service just to pump up the guy, but I usually can discern between lip service and an authentic remark.

I would have responded to the provider in question "well, I'm hairy, and I hate women (especially those that supposedly are providing a service) that express their biases in that blunt of a fashion".  It's one thing to say that they simply do not get turned on by hairier guys, but "hate"?

I'm not sure one can generalize... I would think this is a combination of personal preference and what's considered the norm in a particular place... Ever travel to Italy and areas in east Europe? Plenty of moustaches, hairy legs, groins and underarms, and that's just the women!
