Why Do Providers With Twi**er Accounts Protect......angry_smile

their messages?

I mean this is kinda ass backwards.  Didn't bother me until one Provider I was following decided to "protect" her tweets.  This chick was posting all kindsa shit.  Pics of her ass being whipped until it was black and blue (fuck I loved those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).  Shit I musta jerk-offed to 20+ of her pics.  Still want to see her in NYC though.  That's another story about RT looking for a girl that will allow me to "break" the skin.  Oh anyway:(

WTF is that all about?  So let me see.  You R a Provider.  Hoping to make $$$.  You need social media to accomplish this goal.  And duh you "protect" your account.  Um OK whatever.

Doesn't that seem like the opposite of what you should do as a marketing mechanism?

And NO I don't what to be a confirmed follower!!!!!   I am not on Tw**er or on Facebook.  All it takes is for 1 (read 1) angry tweet or post and bam there goes your professional livelihood.  No thank you.

For the record this does not apply to Providers.  90% of whom have their faces obscured and their real names are not known.  I am referring to Professional jobs where people can CONNECT your Tweet/FB to you in the office/factory/school/(insert wherever the fuck you work here).

Providers can start over rather quickly.  Set up a new website, get a few regulars to review you under your new name and boom back in business.  So save your "this is a real job for the dumbasses".

No offense to Providers it is not the same as having a 9-5 job.

Nah, I was lying I don't give a shit if Providers are offended.  After all I am RT mofos:)

But seriously what up with "protected" Twatter (get it twat and twatter; this being the hobby where you pay for "twat" which is slang for Pussy.  I mean I hope that pun was not lost on the reader.  Seriously like it is pretty easy to make the connection between Twat, Twatter ant Twi**er.  You do get it right?

RT Out

Why would you assume online privacy does not apply to providers?  Social media is a double edged sword, some providers have personal accounts they don't want attached to the work account. Also, some have accidentally mixed the two accounts. While it is an excellent marketing tool due to it's social nature,  being careful never hurt nobody either.

FYI, your posts are getting dumber by the minute. This one was plain fuckin stupid.

why are you so angry?  It's their account and they can do what they want with it. How does that effect or offend you?
And obviously this is not a normal "9-5"(duh) job.  But it is a job if we treat it that way. Some girls don't care about their reputation, but I take this seriously and take pride in it, and since I try to always find ways to improve and am passionate about it, it is a job...i don't just lie there. If I did, I wouldn't be successful. It's physically demanding (which is good cuz it keeps me in shape lol), and it is all about customer service (something which I suspect you might not be so good at), among other things.  Plus, hello!.it's what I do to make money. That's the definition of a job.
A couple other things I want to say:  it does matter if other people found out, as I do have people who I would not want to know that this is what I do.  Also, you are wrong in saying that it's so easy for a provider to start over lol.  You don't know what you're talking about.  It takes time and hard work to build a reputation!
Also, your little quote about not giving a fuck and "I'm tr mofos"...is pretty funny. You seem like you're trying hard to seem cool and it has the opposite effect.

Next time try asking a question if you don't know why something is done.  Going off the deep end for no reason makes you appear like this guy:

I call this provider she want a pic so use my smart phone and she save my number on her smart phone she went on fb it add all her contacts as friends.

You WILL be assimilated!  Resistance is futile!

I "get" Twitter, and use it.  LinkedIn, tumblr, Instagram, etc all have their place.  But FB, with it's "all your base are belong to us" mentality, just creeps me out.

I swear the thing is like a fuckin' virus.  I feel like I'm the last hold-out against them sometimes...

The point of a provider having a presence on social media is that it's a form of marketing.  Seems to me that allowing unrestricted access to FB, Twi**er (are we not allowed to mention social networks by name on these here forums now?), etc, is in the provider's best interest.

If I stumble across a mention or re-tweet of a hot-sounding or hot-looking provider, and then go to her social sites and find out that I have to ask for permission to follow, it's really kind of a turnoff.  The marketing did what it was supposed to do, and got me to look for more info about the provider; so I did that, and now I find out I have to jump through hoops just to "follow" her 140-character nuggets of wisdom?

Then I start imagining how much of a hard time she's going to give me in the screening process--and then I imagine she's more likely to be BSC ("Oh, check me out, I live in public, follow me on my social sites...but only if I already know you."  Wha.....?  What the hell is the point of being on social networks at that stage?).

Here's where RT is wrong, though:  If you're worried about having your social accounts linked to your "real life" just set up a second Twitter account linked to your hobby email address and hobby phone.  This is not rocket science.  I have half a dozen different "identities" on social media for different purposes.

fwiw, I assume that any providers who wish to do so, also have multiple social media accounts, with one being "professional" and the other "personal"--now if the provider wants to protect the personal account, that makes sense to me.

I know that if it's a verified only account you have to read the message and click the link and I agree that's kind of a pain. I understand it's to prevent spammers, but that should be pretty easy to weed out with a simple locked one.

But if it's just private, you just have to click the follow button, which is no different really than if you wanted to see an unprotected account on the reg, right?

"Verified" means that the Twitter handle really is the person in question, so that we know that "BarackObama" on Twitter really is Barack Obama (or someone authorized to post under his name)--celebrities, politicians, athletes, etc, get vetted by Twitter to get their accounts verified.

"Protected" means that if I want to see "OhCharlie"'s tweets, I have to click a link which sends "OhCharlie" a notification that "RokkKrinn" would like to follow her, and then she gets to decide if I'm allowed to follow--and that's kind of the problem.  I have need for discretion also, so my hobby Twitter account is totally separate from my "real" account.  The only thing "OhCharlie" will see in my hobby Twitter account is my banter with my favorite ladies.  Does that establish my "cred"?  How does "OhCharlie" know that I'm not creepy-stalking all of these other women?

I do understand the problem from the provider side--but I don't understand how protecting the account helps.  You're trying to insulate yourself from potential stalkers--but not every guy who wants to look at your Tweets is a stalker.  Some of us honestly want a better sense of who you are, to see if we might enjoy one another's company.

It sucks that social media can be abused, and I'm not in any way suggesting that a provider is "just asking for it" if she has a Twitter account--but anybody who has even a small degree of notoriety is (unfortunately) leaving themselves open to the downside of being "out there".

I don't what the solution is.  I think providers and potential new clients are being punished because of a few morons who don't know how to behave properly.

I don't know how other people do it, but if I see you acting like a normal person, I'm pretty much ok. I think it's pretty clear that mine has nothing to do with escorting and everything to do with cats, so I'm not terribly picky as long as I don't see you tweeting stolen Tinder pics or, god forbid, ones of your dick. Orrrr if you have already established yourself as unworthy of being part of the harem. Those are really the main ones I try to keep from even looking at my precious words of wisdom *eye roll*

Guys with just an egg and no tweets, no followers, or a hundred random shout outs to girls he doesn't know set off my personal "ehhh... Better not" radar too, if I don't already know them. Guys that clearly don't hobby, and have just gotten lost get the same treatment, cause they'll just "yer hottt" at every picture and act like you're supposed to talk to them. Unlike some women, I far prefer the respectfulness and thought that a "john" will show, vs the entitlement that civvies usually do. To me, it's one of the hidden perks of the job to enjoy men at their best, rather than weed through the ungodly number of dudes that just have no idea due to age, lack of exposure, or desperation. This is the main reason my account is locked... Don't talk to me unless you're ready, lol

What is the one where you ask to follow, then they send you a link through DM that you have to click on to verify you're not a robot before you can see? Is that different from verified accounts?

REASONS TO HAVE A LOCKED TWITTER ACCOUNT:
1) people like RT aren't good at hiding and we can make sure they can never see what we have to say
2) children can't follow us
4) pervs looking for jerk off material can't follow us
5) pervs looking to steal girls pictures can't follow us
6) creepy ex clients can't follow us
7) creepy potential clients can't follow us
8) random creepers can't follow us
9) crazy fire and brimstone people can't follow us
10) most importantly, it keeps us out of trouble with Twitter. They have rules, if you ever bother. And they are pretty lenient with us.

We don't do porn. This isn't legal and we aren't trying to get every Tom, Dick, and Harry to click on a link so we can get a couple of penny's for the website hit. We don't need that level exposure, and a lot of us don't want it. Marketing is important, correct marketing for what you're doing even more so.

Some just check that you're not a kid, some need to have seen you to let you on twitter. Both and everyone in between is just trying to play by the rules and avoid the crazies. They are ton of people on twitter, no need to interact with all of them!

(End of me trying to be educational for everyone else)

Tucky, Everything you need to see should be on her website. You don't need to see her twitter and this whole "marketability" rant is just you stomping your feet over not being "free" to find something else to be angry at a provider about. You are the perfect example of why a girl would protect her account, honestly. You're not actually on twitter (no, you were not following that provider), you're not actually going to book an appointment, you're just looking for jerk off material, and you are an overall angry, hateful person towards providers. What about exposing ourselves to you is good for business? Honestly? What would the point be, other than to feed into your next half cocked "stupid hookers" diatribe?

If RT is going to take your last comments seriously...you have to make sure that in addition to "angry and hateful" he's also bald, old and fat.

I read that in Hookers 101.

I think it's also on some random Twitter accounts.

Just a heads up, there's an updated version. It's only $39.99, and includes new chapters. "Don't be a dumbass", "ball washing for dumbasses", "oh no, she's a dumbass", and "how to spot photoshop fails, for dumbasses". Personally, I found the last one super insightful.

I believe the girls who wrote it are also on twitter, but locked their accounts in accordance with the "OTC is for dumbasses" section.

Maybe you'd be kind enough to send me the updated version so I can peruse it?  I'd even toss in a compliment or two.

Oh...there is an entire library by Aldo on "how to spot photoshop fails, for dumbasses".  He gets paid to tell all.  I think he's also going to appear on Maury to discuss this topic.

I think you also missed out on the newest version of "OTC for the successful hooker"....written by gals who made enough during their careers (and also saved thanks to "Investing for the successful hooker 101 and 102") due to understanding the intricacies of building great connections.  They don't need Twitter accounts anymore!

boots for me?  Your site says you love wardrobe requests.

See there!!!!  Maybe I already jerked off to your site and your reviews.

I have to admit I did not think St. Louie had the quality of talent that you possess.   I am really TURNED ON by your dirty talk of "get up here and fuck me".  Wow:)

So maybe RT will "Meet You In St. Louis".

You see what I did there.  Meet Me In St. Louis was an old movie.  And I turned it around.....oh never mind.

R

Otherwise, LOL!! Thank you for not taking that as harshly as I know it sounded, on second reading.

You left out the key words.

Now you know for next time  LOL

You do have a lot of folks who have told me that you're really a sweetie.

Hence I expect you to shoot for the stars  ;)

I have been very lucky to have met some really nice guys who make it pretty easy.

I've met some really great women here...some of them have become good friends.

It's easy to spot the assholes that abound...and even easier to avoid them.

Life's far too short to waste time on folks who have an agenda.

Why does shit like this need further explanation?

Besides, if a dude decides he won't book with me because he can't read my Tweets without sending a follower request, I'm pretty sure I won't lose any sleep over it.

Like screening, or bathing... Maybe not everybody but it does make you wonder lol

but following people on social media is creeping toward the stalker category IMO. That and what people do when I'm not around them does not interest me.

I guess you have to let the follower in so to say, but most people are stalked by people they know and were once cordial with in the past.

that I barely even look at. If anyone wants to follow me it's the same name as it is in here.  However don't expect a ton of activity.  I look at my email and on here practically every day, Twi**er not so much.
