It's true...

Several of my long time ATF's have told me this, also hands.

Sneakers are the last thing they want to see.  Well made casual shoes like loafers or good sandles in the summer seem to be favored.

As for the hands, they look to see if they are rough or smooth to know whether the guy has an office or a blue collar type job.

Recently read a poll given to women and a majority of the women who were polled said the first thing they notice on a man is what type of shoe he is wearing. What do you ladies think? Is that what you notice first?

I wear tennis shoes (addidas) when I work out of course, and then Converse low tops or a nice black pair of leather dress shoes/rugged outback when I head out to a bar or club. Never gave it a thought as I pick shoes that I like.

I knew women like their own shoes but didn't realize they really care about what type of shoe a guy wears. I mean if I can dress myself, isn't that enough? ;-)

Finally question, do you think a certain shoe attracts a certain type of lady? I feel funny even asking that question....

I can't recall ever spending much time paying attention to a man's shoes. Generally the first detail I look at on a man is his hands. Dunno why I find a man's hands so sexy, but by golly I do.

like if they are clean, fingernails trimmed, what he does with them, etc.

I try to look at a woman's eyes, but for some reason I get drawn to her breasts like magnets! ;-)

Eyes first, then I might glance at the shoes. Just kidding!

Shoes are a great hidden indicator of a man's lifestyle and wealth. Men do not realize that while they worry about if they have a Rolex on their wrist it is the shoes that give them away.

To think that most women check out a guy's shoes or watch (another myth) is just plain old fashioned IMO!  I would never notice either unless they were completely inappropriate for the situation eg open sandals on a cold winter day.

I don't have one thing I always notice first, it depends on the man.  It could be his hair if it's long and dark, his smile if it lights up his face, his eyes if they are big and brown or any colour and filled with sparkle and promise.  If he's toned and pretty hunky then it would be his arms.

I guess an attractive smile is the best feature anybody can have :)

Well, at least my eyes are blue and that is a color. [Carrie, you need to use spell check on that word. LOL]

I don't give a rat's ass what the guy walks in if he's not my SO. And, if he wants to wear tennis shoes over sandles or leather shoes over boots, that's fine with me. But if you gentlemen really want to know the no-no's:  Please "Don't wear sandles with socks" or "dress shoes and socks with shorts." :)

Hugs,
Ciara
