It's still statutory rape in most states

He needs to stop with her now.  Turn her in!? Are ya kidding me?!  He is asking for more trouble than he can imagine.  Yeah....she'll get a mere slap on the wrist.  He will become a convicted sex offender for life.

although i am still sticking to my decision to stay away from the scene for now, i have a few friends who visit providers and discuss their "escapades" with me.
yesterday, one of them called me with mixed emotions. while visiting with a regular of his (once a week at least for just over a year now i think), she happened to leave her i.d. laying out next to her purse when she went to the bathroom. curiosity got the best of him and he discovered that she just turned 17 (not 20 as she told him). he didn't say a word to her as they were already finished, so she left without incident. he was kinda panicking because he's been sleeping with an underage girl all this time. of course after the sh*t i dealt with, i told him to never talk to her again and stay away until he meets someone he can prove is at least 18.
now today he admitted that he's more angry than anything because he's been helping her pay for college classes that she's not even taking. he says he wants to turn her in but i advised to just cut his losses and move on because at age 17, i don't think anything can be done besides a slap on the wrist. then he'll probably get in trouble instead! haha!
any similar stories out there? advice?

Most police have was to give an anonymous tip on such things. Minors need to be protected even if it is from themselves. He really should find away to do the right thing, safely.

I would say your "friend" is quite stupid, particularly since he paid for her "college courses". Best for him just to drop the matter, cut his losses & never see her again to avoid any kind of trouble.

He's a fool and big sucker, your friend. He's exactly the reason there is so much heat on the hobby. You can't mess with underaged women and expect them to keep your ass out of the news. When are people going to learn that you can't help people by throwing money at them. When people are fucked up and a 17 y.o. selling pussy qualifies her, they have to decide they want to change some facet of their lives. As was already offered, he should drop her and the matter and stay the fuck away from her forever. Even when she becomes of age, she's proven she's not worth helping. Watch, he'll continue to mess around with her and she'll out him to the his family or job or to someone he doesn't want to know he's an underaged rapist.

YES I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT WHEN HE HAD BEEN SEEING THIS GIRL FOR A YEAR SHE CAN EASILY OUT HIM.  DEF. JUST LEAVE HER ALONE AND SAY NOTHING.  DONT SEND AN ANON. TIP IT SHE MAY THINK IT IS FROM HIM ANYWAY. SHIT I'VE HELPED WOMAN WITH BILLS BEFORE BUT THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS ON A TRUST LEVEL AND KNEW WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT THEIR PRIVATE LIFE. I WOULD JUST SAY GIVE ME THE BILL I'LL PAY IT. THIS WAY I KNEW WHERE THAT MONEY WAS GOING.  OVER THE YEARS JUST KNOWING A FEW WOMAN ( FEW OVER 10 YEARS)  i'VE HAD BENEFITS THAT YOU CAN NOT UNDERSTAND .  AS STATED KNOWING FOR OVER 10 YEARS NOT PAYING FOR IT!  BUT ANYWAY STAY AWAY FROM HER.

First, stay away from her.

Second, get over being angry.  He knew he was supporting her financially, and while it was not going to college tuition but to something else (is he sure?  so 17 y/os are in college) it should not be a big deal.  Be upset, fine.  Retaliate?  No.  And it can very easily backfire on him.

Third, if he is fixated on girls who look "20-ish" make sure they are not 17.  Or was he rationalizing "She told me she was legal!"

Yet another reason on a long list why I prefer the 30+ ladies, thank you.

He needs to distance himself from her and hope that this does not come back to bite him in the ass.
He should be shaking in his boots until the statute of limitations expires on his probable crime.

a lawyer cannot do anytime if she press charges is statutory rape and he will be arrested. The law does not excuse ignorance.

The first and most important question that needs to be answered:  what is the age of consent in your friend's state?  If she is over it, he is relatively safe; if she is under it he is looking at major trouble.

As for bringing LE into this.  Its a pointless revenge fantasy that could very well end up getting him dragged into a legal nightmare, (ask him how he fancies explaining a prostitution or statutory rape conviction to prospective employers, business partners, friends & family, or wife).

In closing, tell your friend to man up and remove his ego from this matter.  His only goal is to end this relationship with a plausible reason so as not to arouse her suspicions (he just met a new GF, etc).  Leave her and never ever look back. To be really safe lose everything that ties her to you and start over (cell #, email acct, etc.).

Once you have to register as a sex offender it is for life. I know I never wan't to be on that list. So he should count his losses and try to forget about this experience. I know alot of providers who have fake IDs so with any luck maybe she had lil sis's ID.

He needs to stop with her now.  Turn her in!? Are ya kidding me?!  He is asking for more trouble than he can imagine.  Yeah....she'll get a mere slap on the wrist.  He will become a convicted sex offender for life.

Not in NY, as the Mark Sanchez incident illustrated.  He told the girl he couldn't be with her because she was under 18.  Legal expert that she was (in addition to Star-Fucker) she correctly pointed out that she was "legal" at 17 in NY.

Legal age of consent in NJ is 16 but she would still be guilty of prostitution, and he of patronizing a prostitute.

great app too, just log in and it will give you all sex offenders and addresses.

at 20 years old. Naw! I bet he picked her because she looked like a teenager, probably more like 16, and he got just what he wanted, but didn't want to admit it to himself. In other words, he wanted to believe her lie.

If he gets caught with her they are likely going to be more concerned with her working... she is 17.

Many states 16+ is legal with, and in some states without, parental consent. If it's a state that the parents can decide, yes, they can be irrational and go all out on him, but if they are any kind of common sense people they would be more focused on their daughters choices; that and the fact that they are beyond adult. When a woman decides to sell her body, it goes a bit past sex; the parents can nit-pick if they like, but my god, how silly would that be?

If he is that uncomfortable, he should tell her truth and say "see ya when you turn 18"; if he is uncomfortable and offended, just don't call. There is no big mystery and it isnt worth making a huge deal out of for her, or him.

If he has moral issues on the matter then society has truly gotten to him and why is he "seeing someone" in the first place? What difference does 17 to 18 make, besides the legal ones? Now, 18 to 25, there is alot of room for growth, but how ever many months to her birthday it is, she wont discover herself in that time, trust me. Honestly, I was working in a strip club and an underground afterhours club at that age-- and putting ads up on the net not 8 months later; she no "little girl", per se.

God a hundred and fifty years ago-- she'd've been half-way to an old maid!

And the money very well could have gone to college classes if her intellectual persona reveals a possible excelled level. I took classes when I was in my senior year in high school because I wanted to take higher learning than was available at my school, but I had to pay for it, and it did yield college credit.

Well said. Damn don't panic that is what causes problems. Extricate himself from the situation as smoothly as he can. Remember he isn't the only one rocking her box.

1

I hope he uses a hooker phone.
2. if its been going on for a year that means 16 not 17.
3. yes it is a huge risk liking the young ones but if that is the flavor you like you need to be ready for the heartburn.
4. If she is use ( I know the speeling is wrong) to his $ help she will be hard to cut loose.
5. If she knows enough about him to destroy him or feed him to the police yes he should be worried.
6. In that case slowly loose interest and cut back to weene her off the tit. Of course without touching her again.
7 If not and he uses a stripper phone cut all ties now.
8. Hope God has a sense of humor.

Take look. Checking facts before opining is tried and tested and works quite well!

Take a look!

This is better addressed by the Legal Corner, but everyone here should know:  there is a difference between the "age of consent" for sex, and the age that can get you into trouble if you pay a girl for sex.

For example, if the age of consent is 16 in your state, then you're fine if you just have sex (ala Mark Sanchez). However, if you PAY that girl for sex, that's a whole 'nuther ballgame.  If she's 16, or even 17, you can be charged with child prostitution in many states, no matter what the age of consent may be in that state. And that, my friends, means jailtime and lifetime child sex offender status.

Actually quite surprised that legal age in some states is under 18..... I thought it was 18 throughout the US... guess not. I saw several people mention that she probably looked young, but he probably knew.... probably NOT. Now-a-days, these 16 and 17 year old girls can EASILY pass for over 18, even 21... most of them have fake IDs.. so yes, you might even have drinks with what you think is a 21yo, when in reality, she's only 17. Here in WI, I see it A LOT... and you use to be able to tell by the schedules they'd keep(school and curfew, etc), not anymore... a lot are dropping out of high school at 15-16, and don't live at home anymore(ie, the "hot, young 18yo that always has incalls available, even for quicky sessions... aka, she LIVES at the hotel).. hence, no "school hours" and no curfews...

Everyone, stay safe & follow your gut instinct... if you think she's too young(you can usually tell by their attitude, how they carry themselves & the "stories" they have to tell also), don't chance it.... just pass.
