Atlanta is one of the best hobby towns (at least from a hobbyists perspective) in the country.

As for the article, if you follow the chain of logic, number one "the average age someone gets into the business is between 12-14 y.o" and number two "they start at strip clubs and then move on to escorting" Atlanta's strip clubs should be full of 12-14 year old dancers. lmfao

I have been to several of Atlantas strip clubs, and I have yet to see anyone under 18, much less 12-14.

I call bullshit on the whole fucking story, although it certainly isn't the first, nor will it be the last story spouting off the same tired line about human trafficking and the hobby.

I hobby mostly in South America and I have been to Thailand and Germany I got my start through requent business trips to Montreal so if you think it is great in Atlanta.... but thats not the point.  As for the story, I think it is bullshit too but I would be careful in Atlanta from a backlash.  Mods please delete if this falls under the guise of spam.

FOX news will air a story from time to time, about the BWI's Hotel District, being an underground red light district, and how there are pimps, and underage girls being forced into this life style. From what I know some ladies do have pimps, or over protective "boyfriends". but everyone is over legal the legal age.

AAPD's Vice Unit, does try to conduct sex stings, but you can tell them from a mile away. Then hobbyists, and providers will either text, or e-mail each other letting them know stings are going down.

Sad thing is in Balimore, the rape, robbery, car theft, and homicides are through the roof in that area, but silly Uncle Leo, is worried about a guy having sex with an escort who's earning morning to go to college.

from a small market, to a larger market, and to the network (or parent newspaper).  These young reporters are digging for dirt and probably found a young chick for sex so they thought they could do a story.

For the story to be true awith any relevance, this would have to be widespread.

It is unlikely that strip clubs hire without ID. False IDs can be had, true. But if this is forced slavery of kidnapped victims then it is not difficult for local authorities to determine the legitimacy of IDs.

Bars around the country that care about Fake IDs have them confiscated and plastering their walls in displays. Even goo fake IDs are no match for a quick check in FBI CJIS which can be done by cops and many clerks in the local government.

Reporters have no integrity any more. They are entertainment hacks that spin the truth as bad as any politicians campaign manager.

You can only fight fire with fire in these arena and unless people involved or who support sex work start doing something to put pressure and accountability on news organizations about this crap it will only get worse.

There was a recent news story about a Dallas, Texas teen (15 yo) who ran away from home last year, started working at a strip club in Houston using a fake name, got arrested for shoplifting, gave a fake name to LE, got deported to Colombia (she didn't even protest the deportation and say, "Wait! I was just kidding! My real name is ...!!"), was finally tracked down by her family and found her in Colombia pregnant by party (or parties ) unknown and is now back in the US.  

First question: WHY DIDN'T THE HOUSTON STRIP CLUB CHECK HER ID. They must be on the hook for something.

This was not trafficking. This was a runaway teen who wanted to get away and stay away using fake names and IDs.
