I am new (but not brand new!!) to the hobby.  I am curious about how the internet (e.g. TER, EROS, etc.) has affected the price and volume of the escort biz over the last decade or so.  It seems there are several articulate and observant providers and clients on this board who have been at it a while.  So I will consult you experts!  

Anyone willing to share usual prices paid and received for an hour with the kind of high class women paid by the high class men that now frequent the TER territory?

If you think you know how prices have changed (compared to inflation) do you think you know why?

Im from back in the day when America hadn't any economical problems... when there wasnt any internet market for girls. 10 years or so.  Used to be escorts would get 500/700 an hour or more with no problem. ( for the hour) anywhere..

Then many jumped on the boat... most cities sustain 300/400 for the hour now. (Big metro cities) While other Tier2 cities, (Buffalo, Cleveland, Indianapolis go 200/300.

Each provider in her home city charges what that economical climate can stand now.

...granted I wasn't hobbying 10 years ago, but I find it difficult to believe that any of the girls in my area (Raleigh/Greensboro & Charlotte) who command $300 now would've been able to get $500/700 back then.  Don't know bout this Tier2 cities stuff either.  Raleigh and Greensboro are probably Tier2 cities but there are a lot there who charge $300 and above.  I do agree with your last statement, though.

Phoenix, where the standard for a top provider has risen from $$$1/2 to $$$$!!!!

Ladies will ask for what the market will bear, just like any businessperson.

I'm so glad that I met one of my ATF's before her price increase, and benefit from her grandfather clause, and that I now live in England!!!  Here the average visit to a average provider is less than $$, and a TIP TOP lady, $$$1/2!!!

Internet has allowed more girls to dabble in the hobby as providers (see CL), and more scammers (again see CL).  Prices are up everywhere ( especially in smaller markets).

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that as some of these girls take out more ads, their phones ring more, their email boxes fill up and they start to believe that they are more in demand, so their prices rise as their service (quality) and length of time stay the same.

I'm not bothered by the general market here in L.A. because I'm one of those people who believes you get what you pay for, although I'm not willing to pay $1000 dollar rates regularly. If I want quality, I don't mind shelling out, but it's the guys who frequent the girls who charge streetwalker prices in the 150 range or so that always floor me. They expect gfe and stars, rockets, fireworks for that price when any thinking man can see her prices are low for sheer volume. I'd bet you'd be lucky if she looked you in the eye once in the 10 minutes you're there.

and snow birds. My donations have actually gone down to accommodate more gentlemen and to be fair to everyone.

Like others have said, it depends on where you go.
Mostly its increased, but I dont believe its from inflation. I believe its Supply and Demand. Services and self-employed ladies are more common but theres a lot more guys who feel comfortable in the hobby. And it would seem many of them are willing to shell out more money (for whatever reasons) so overall, it seems more expensive to me.
When I was down in Mayport, FL I could see a nice young college girl for one fifty. And she was cute. And motivated. And really damn sweet. Not a clock watcher either. A true GFE before the whole GFE label got out of control. This was 1997-1999.
In the same area were broads that wanted three-hundred just to walk in the door. And usually wouldnt do anything for at least another two. Many times they would still perform a cash and dash. As with any town, YMMV.

When I visited Norfolk for a short while, the average was 300 but that was normally all-inclusive. The occasional "I need more $$$" used to make me mad, but overall it was a decent time.

In my hometown of Minneapolis (which I still visit regularily) it has gone from an average of 150 to 400 over the past 9 years. And average quality of service has seriously dropped. If there is a special club I dont know about, someone please tell me. I dont spend enough time at home to keep up with these things. All my old regulars seem to be out of the bussiness.

Now I am out in CA and its ridiculous. 450+ just to get the girl in the room. And theres ALWAYS more negotiating. Again, I think I may not be in the secret club and dont know what I should be doing.

Made a trip to Vegas once. Also silly prices, but thats expected. Doubt I could find a nice, clean girl for a reasonable price. Out there the good life will cost plenty.

As a whole prices have gone up and quality has drifted down. Which seems to be a common sight in many professions these days.
Am now 27 years old and thinking about settling down with a nice girl, but girlfriends and wives cost even more money. (Which is one of the reasons I started the hobby.)

Wanted to visit Bakersfield this weekend, but am afraid it will be more of the same.
May just visit the clubs and spank off after I get home.

Some of us are reasonable, pamper the heck out of you and treat you like royalty. Wink!
