I think posting about it here is something akin to an alcoholic going to a bar and announcing he's just been to his first AA meeting.
Not everyone here is an addict. And those that are will get help when they are ready.
So what is your purpose in posting here? I believe that if you find yourself a sponsor, my guess is he's going to suggest that this site probably isn't the safest place for you and your path to recovery. Just my opinion.
I've come to see the effects of the 'love high ' meet the predictable course of all addictions. I've learned this from the boards here. Last night I went to my first meting and boy were my eyes opened. Thank you all for your honest words

My reason is gratitude. Recovery needs a circle of people who understand the issues. THis forum does, and that is not saying all are addicts, but understand the nature of the 'hobbiest' world
But Bev is right. If you are serious about SLAA or other similar fellowships, STOP POSTING HERE. I'm not saying this for our sake; I'm saying it for YOUR sake. If you are in a program which identifies "bottom line" behavior which should never be engaged in, I suggest you including participation in TER and similar boards as part of your bottom line. Good luck.

1st, that most people are like you, and 2nd, that people you ask for help will tell you the truth.
Almost nothing is known about addiction - experts can't even agree on a definition; and nobody knows enough about human behavior to predict it usefully. If it helps you to believe that you can't control your behavior, more power to you.
Meanwhile, most of us work in a conscious world, where we generally control our behavior. We will thank you to keep your solutions to yourself.
