A few days ago I read a newspaper article from a reputable reporter from a well renowned Chicago institution. A man from Texas had just been convicted of murdering his grandmother.  His apparent motive was a generous inheritance which he had earmarked for Adult Entertainment.  His home had gone into foreclosure, despite a solid income he and his now ex wife had earned. This convicted murderer has 4 attractive daughters. I cannot fathom someone murdering his children's great grand mother for the sake of gluttony.

  After reviewing the compelling testimony from the trial transcripts, I would never consider issuing a unconditional pardon!
