Do you see providers who have drastically different rates or do you remain in one price range when booking?

Pretty much the same range, $500-600.  Too low and the old saying “You get what you pay for” comes into play.  Too high and you don’t necessarily get what you pay for is all too common.  

The reasons are various,  but mostly have to do with affordability, but sometimes there's a high priced gal who tickles my fancy so much, that budget be damed, I just have to see her.

 
Not that I regret seeing the lower cost lasses as well, they are also excellent.    It' like dining out:    Sometimes a good cheap Italian neighborhood place hits the spot, but then sometimes you want that 5 star steakhouse experience.

I mostly stay in a range. I’m a bargain hunter but within high end ladies. Generally they’re all within $200 of each other. However, I will occasionally get a cheap kgirl type or treat myself to a lady that costs a little extra. But I’m becoming less inclined to both. I find when I pay less for a kgirl, I’m less satisfied. And when I pay for what I feel is a treat, it’s rarely any better than my standard.

Yep.  I usually stick to the 600-700 range and just get an hour.  

Although, right now, my favorite provider is only 350 for incall.  She charges double for outcall but has made it pretty clear  to me that she prefers to do incall.  

I usually book longer dates, but if a companion I really want to see is at a higher rate I will just shorten the date. Keeps me on budget to some extent.

nearly 19 years ago, the price was not a factor in choosing who to see.  I wasn't reading reviews then, had not discovered TER, and was selecting who to see primarily on the basis of how hot-looking they were.  Consequently, there was no small number of $1000+ per hour providers that I chose to see.  Over the course of the first year, I learned that in the $1000+ range, higher rates are often based on the provider's assessment of her own looks and often has little relation to the service provided.  

 
After I discovered TER and approached my first one-hundredth provider experience, I leaned that there is nothing that a provider at $1000+ can do that a provider at $500 can't do, and even when the two providers are providing exactly the same services, it is not uncommon for the $500 provider to provide a better experience overall than the $1000+ provider.  

 
With inflation, my $500-level indie providers from 2007 are now $6-800, and there are providers who are selling the same thing, albeit in a more aesthetically please package for $1500+, so not much has changed.   In the past 10 years, I have not seen any provider at more than $800/hr, and the vast majority are in the $350-500 range.  For me, service is king, so I'm no longer will to pay a premium for looks if it comes with questionable service.  Too many reviewers here feel that if they see a provider that is a 10 for appearance, they must also give her a 9 or 10 for service, or they end up looking foolish, and this propensity for inflated reviews of better-looking providers is why I don't patronize that market segment anymore.

This is an interesting question Lucy. From my perspective as a companion, it seems clients who see me often see other companions who also charge midrange to mid-high rates. However based on reference requests I receive, occasionally clients who meet me will also visit companions whose rates are ~1.5-2x compared to mine.

 
I think especially with some experiences and niches, clients are very concerned with fulfilling certain desires and might see companions across the rate spectrum.

I consider 600-800 to be the Goldilocks range. For me, the K-girl market is nonexistent so I don't factor them in.  

Below 600 has been very hit and miss for me. Above 800 and I just don't find the marginal return to be worth it. Once a year or so I'll go higher for someone who just looks spectacular, but that might turn into once every couple of years

I bounce around a fair amount.  Most of the time, I book based on a provider I'm excited to see, less concerned about pricing.  I have some lower and middle-rate regulars I meet in between meeting new ladies.  I do splurge once or twice a month on higher-rate providers, but I do my research and typically feel very confident taking the chance with them.

I hobby mostly in the $350-$600 range. I have a few regulars at both extreme ends of that range that I repeat regularly! On the low end they are mostly kgirls with exceptional service and good looks! On the high end they are all non-kgirls with similar service. I don’t repeat if I can’t get lots of dfk, superior bbbj plus CIM, and daty, usually with fiv allowed! Like CDL, I have rarely find that extra dollars equates to better service! I am not willing to pay extra for a girl who is slightly better looking but likely brings nothing else to the table. Unfortunately some of my regulars have graduated to the big leagues with increased pricing, but I have not followed them up the staircase! I have plenty of great sessions on the TDL without chasing the big numbers!
