You wrote a glowing review on your new ATF.  You probably contributed to making her more popular and it looks like you now might get rewarded by paying more.  Your ATF is going to raise her rates.  How much of a rate increase would you be willing to absorb?

A.  None
B.  $50 or 10 percent whichever is more
C.  $100 or 20 percent whichever is more
D.  $200 or 30 percent whichever is more
F.  More than $200

It has been typical for a girl who's raising her rate to continue seeing repeat customers at the old rate, at least for a period of time.

I would do C. But, I' sensing some anger. If I was pissed off, I wouldn't see her until I found a way to get over it.

That is not one of the options.  Either she is not grandfathering anyone or you were grandfathered for a period of time which has expired.  What do you do?

Why do you think anyone here is going to answer a marketing survey for someone thinking of raising their rate?

The answer here should be the standard for the forums: the providers set their rates and rules and monger make their choices on who to see based on those rates and rules.

But with covid 19 making her RL and provider life more difficult I just started leaving an extra 100.

So many of the good things in life are fleeting.  I try to make the best of them at all times.

One of the answers the OP gave to choose from was the option not to accept ANY kind of price increase.

And you sound just like the hookers who claim that they never negotiate and/or that clients should just shut up about rates, which I find highly ironic on a board in large part designed for clients of hookers to rate their relative value compared to, wait for it, the RATE charged. If you and the idiot who replied first don't want to answer the question, that of course is your right, but nobody died and left you in charge about what the "standard" should be around here.

As for the OP's actual question, I can answer with a very definite "it depends" lol Lets say I have been seeing a girl who only charges $250 hr when all her peers are getting $4-500, I would most likely not mind at all ramping up the rate I pay her by $50 or $100 an hour, but if she is already charging what I consider "market rate" and then she gets a case of GPS and expects me to simply pay her whatever she asks because she thinks she can get that much, then she most likely is going to be very disappointed with my answer for an increased rate from me.

BTW have I ever mentioned how I feel when people think that they can impose "standards" for the rest of us by simple decree? I bet you can guess the answer without a single hint. lol

The implicit option, really the only one that flows from my post is, if she doesn't grandfather you, you walk. I know Bozo is as dumb as they come but I'd hoped you weren't. But, hey, I'm a nice guy so I won't draw any conclusions. In your case. As for Bozo, it's too late for that hopeless dimwit.
LOL

I would willingly go 30% for 1 of them.
I would gladly have gone 30% or 200 for the 2nd.
For the third, I willingly absorbed a $300 increase. And I might have gone higher.  She deserved an 11/11.

"new ATF", you identify yourself as one of those guys who says "ATF" when what you REALLY mean is CF (current favorite).  I only have ONE ATF, because to me its literally "all-time-favorite."   She is long gone, but I always have a current favorite, and the survival rate on these before I get bored and want a NEW CF is about 3-4 months.  So you can do the math, and see about how many CF's I have had in my 12 years in  P4P.

From that perspective, my answer is A, none, not a dime more.  The reason is because she's probably a month or two from being replaced anyway, so if its now rather than then, it won't really matter a year from now when she is just a memory like all the others.

I have had this happen to me about a dozen times.   There are a number of ways to handle it, but the most effective has been when she tells me she is  raising rates, I say, "That's too bad, I'm going to miss you."  All but one hesitated a moment,  then blurted out, "But not for you!!"  Only one had the balls to call my play because she thought I was bluffing.  She overplayed her hand and lost my business of two hours a week, minimum.  One of my two-hour-a-month regulars waiting in the wings took her place.

But I'll go with F

My kgirl atfs are well worth the money and then some. And compared to some other girls performances, they are often worth 5 times the money. I don't know what a new atf is because a girl doesn't just become my atf over one encounter. I'm fairly picky but the ones I call atfs, I value and cherish. For reference, 200 more is nearly double the bay area regular rate, and I'm OK with it. But just for my few atf(s).

My potentially glowing review has nothing to do with it though. I don't really think girls ever owe me anything for reviewing them, or vice versa.

My ATF hasn't raised rates to me in 3+ years, although I've seen her rates in current ads have gone up.

Of course, I take her goodies for each of our sessions -- 6-12 bottles of good wine, chocolates, and ammo (yep, a girl's gotta shoot, right?).

I'm reasonable and would understand if she raised her rates -- but much above the $50/10% level would break my budget and would (regrettably) necessitate a change.

So far, so good -- we'll see what the future brings.

Answer(s): C/D

I have three ATFs (or rather three favorites that I've seen for years). All three have increased rates of $100 for one and $200 for the other. The third went to $850 from $350. I do not see her anymore. The third is drop-dead gorgeous and amazing services but has a lot of issues that I'd rather not deal with at that price point.

I might pay up to $200 more,  but I’d have to see her less often.

Only so much $ in the piggy bank.

It’s pretty much a given that rates will increase as they gain more popularity, inflation, etc. I’m willing to go up by 100. Most who have increased their rates have offered to grandfather me their old rates....

all the girls are reading and follow the suggestions so many are saying. It will be good for their business. And they should also keep in mind that if the price doesn't work for others it is still good to keep that new rate for these special clients who get that extra value from the sessions.  After all, a good price discriminating producer will simply transfer value from the consumer side without impacting the output quantity margin.

Its not like you get a choice on what her rate bump is gonna be.
You just decide if its worth the increase or not. There were a couple that I probably would have continued to see if their rates had doubled. And some that I wouldn't go back to on a 50 buck increase.

but not exactly, and I never thought of it that way. My long-time ATF has had only a couple of rate increases in nearly 10 years.  I think they were each around $40-50 but I don’t remember how much. Each time she told me I could pay the old rate. Each time I paid her current rate. Her rates are reasonable for the market and the high quality of her services. And she has kids, a house, a car, college tuition for awhile, healthcare etc.  And I could afford it. So, why not.

Anyway, as others have mentioned, it’s not like it would be easy finding a replacement for her. I’ve never found another provider who does what she does in the way she does it.

Unless she is one of my favorite ex-porn stars.  Then, I would say D.

Keep in mind that even if I am willing to pay the increase, the frequency in which I see the ATF will decrease.  Something's got to give.

If she's my ATF then, in addition to her rate, I'm giving her a generous tip as well as gifts. There's a reason she's my ATF after all, and it is never because of her rates.

Its an individual, stand-alone decision based on how important maintaining that specific relationship is.  I wish I could bring myself to do that, but its just not the way I'm wired.

without actually firing them. Someone I met from this board taught me about "A" "B" and "C" clients, rate raising, grandfathering, etc.

You can't grandfaather a client forever; however, if I did have an ATF and I raised my rates, I would offer an arrangement, which took many times because it was a trade-in for more money at once for security and predictability. (In the end, I save money on keeping the regular.)

That worked well for those who don't like to pay less than the other clients are paying. Sounds odd, it was odd to me, but now I realize why some people might have felt that way.

No matter what someone does, grandfather or not, people leave simply because they are unable to afford to be the top client anymore. It's a "thing."

I think if people feel kind of weird about something they shouldn't question their gut. So I don't try to insist anymore.

I have suggested to a few of my regulars who were fully booked all the time that they raise their rates incrementally until they reach a point where they have cleared out the marginal customers and are left with the guys who tip well, book frequently and book multiple hours.  It has worked out well for several of them. They may not have a full schedule everyday, but at the end of the week, they made more money than when they were fully booked.

RETIRE from the board and become a booker.

Since you have clearly crossed the line and now coach "a few of your regulars" to raise their rates.  Its hard to imagine one of these providers taking the advice of Mr. Frugal, though it would be easy for them to allow you to self inflict an increase since Mr. Half Hour is always an exasperating session when he cant get his limp dick to get hard.  And as a few of them have documented during AI interviews, when you chap out on the tip its hard for them to hold you to normal conventions when you had nothing to show for your time.
