I am a total newbie to all of this.  I have been doing research in regards to what will be my first time exploring the hobby.

Currently on CL, there are ads where it may have the right pic and name but the name being spelled is not correct.

I highly doubt that any provider ever misspells her own name.  Messed up ads seem to be in the same areas that people on the boards are expressing concern about:  Brooklyn Park, Burnsville and so on.

Although I am new, I can plainly see that something is quite obviously up in these areas.

I don't know whether it's the site seeking legitimacy or a stalker trying to help the lady out or possibly someone trying to retaliate for something, but ladies routinely find their pictures up there. You'd think that they'd at least be smart enough to spell the lady's name right, though.

I would suggest taking a look at the newbie board. I love it there and everyone is friendly; not to say their not here. CraigsList is full of scams and rip-offs so it is not the best spot for you to be looking. I do advertise there from time to time and meet great guys but the chances of you getting lucky are slim. Always search by the phone number and you'll have a better chance of seeing if they are legit. If there's no phone number in the ad forget it and move on.

It's sad that some people don't value literacy enough to appreciate him.  He should be thanked for his efforts on Craigslist to rectify the defects of this country's education system.  It's doubly sad that anyone would insult him by calling him a "spelling Nazi."

Another provider stole one of my photos and tried to use it in her ad on Backpage

Luckily it was removed promptly.
