We all read the thread below about LE getting "frisky" with one of us.
It has me thinking about the envelope thing. Much easier if ever found in that situation to not have an envelope full of bennys on us. I am not arguing what one should, or should not do in this situation.
Just the fact that a stupid envelope could be a potential problem.
I would like to ask the ladies..
How important is it? Why?
Any other ideas on ways to present a donation, and keep you safe?

Sometimes some providers complain about the clients shortchanging them because of the concealment of the envelope. It's literally 3 or 4 bills depending on what the rate is, and I'm not sure if an envelope is even necessary to accommodate 3 bills.

I usually just place it in the bathroom or her nightstand. They never seemed to mind, and I've seen a few ladies, and never had a complaint. Sometimes, I'll give it straight to their hands, and they never seem to mind either. However, just because I did it, doesn't mean you should do it.

I'm just stating that I've never had a problem or a complaint for a provider when I give them the donation without the envelope.

Damn you! That was my trump card. I have heard stories of guys using the envelope to shortchange a lady. I would like to hear a providers prospective though.

If your concern for LE outweighs the inconvenience of going out to buy one, you can always have a backup story about your friend's birthday/graduation/whatever. Just make sure not to have Christmas ones in August
Otherwise, an envelope is optimal. Some of us are not very comfortable with having cash in plain view but would never complain if you just lay down the bills

i laid cash down ( twice ), no problem. ( seems i never have an envelope ) But i NEVER forget a gift and i think that makes it all good. ( love watching that hot little latina, try on new outfits )

They would never open my aunts birthday card.

when a client slips me 4 Benjamins, folded in half... it's a discreet pass-off, and I can tell at a glance that the amount is correct.

or should even make LE take more notice of you. I won't get into the argument about whether it is better to use an envelope or not for your donation to the ladies. Some ladies have a preference and some don't.

I just don't see how it is a an LE issue. I often carry envelopes full of benjamins. And I am not always seeing providers. People pay me for my services in cash sometimes and hand me money in envelopes. I get withdrawals from banks and they sometimes hand me an envelpe to put the cash in. It is sometimes easier for me to track some of my cash if it is in different envelopes. I have seen other people pull money out of envelopes to pay for various things. (and I don't think they are hobbyists) When paying providers, I sometmies use an envelope, someitmes a greeting card, sometimes nothing. (However, I never just open my wallet and pull out the cash in front of them).  

Another thing I sometimes chuckle about is when people worry about getting caught by LE with "lots" of cash on them, because they were on their way to see a provider. 300-500 is a lot of cash?? LOL. I know many people who carry around several thousand on them all the time. LE and IRS doesn't usually get involved unless it is over 10K.

My question to you, Tabu, is; do those bills (Benjamin's) cause you any trouble? I know almost every retail place and banks do the whole (ineffective) "check" of the bills..Do you just deposit them and deal with the teller or do you use them in a different way?

I am "old school".  I empty my pocket junk onto her dresser next to my clothes just like at home.  The donation is separate, precounted & in a paper clip to keep it together.  It ends up under the pocket junk through out the session.  When I redress after play time, the donation remains on her dresser.  In the back & forth of trips to the bathroom, dressing, clowning around... it may or may not disappear.  I never look at it directly.  We never talk about it.  I have had to hand it to a lady on rare occasion or had one young provider, not hip to old school, swoop in to retrieve it.  What ever.  
A white envolupe might as well say "Ms. Provider" on it.  A greeting card is better.  A bank envolupe is a good idea, I suppose...  

I generally carry a legal pocket knife.  (Made damn sure as my jurisdiction has a shorter allowable length than neighboring areas.)   If asked if I have "any weapons" I'll say "NO" "It's not a weapon but I have a pocket knife in my pocket".  Why do I have a pocket knife?  For opening the snack wrappers.  Bound to be one in the car somewhere.

If you are caught in a sting you are going to jail.  It doesn't matter if the bills are large or small, in an envelope or hidden in your shoe.  All you really have to do is answer an ad to show intent and intent is what will get you a ride downtown.

The chances are pretty much non-existent that the police are going to knock down the door while you are having sex with a provider, see an envelope on the dresser, and arrest you. The cops are only interested in a sure thing and that means setting up on you or on providers.

What I am trying to say is.
If no questions are asked, then none have to be answered.

Ask the teller to give you a few extra envelopes, the ones they use to give you your cash. If uncle LEO asks you you can tell them that you just got that cash from your bank.  

Also you can use a bank deposit envelope, and if asked, you tell them that you were going to deposit that money in your account.

Cash gift cards work & credit cards(for those with all thier i's dotted & t's crossed)

And why would having money in a white envelope be saying "Ms.Provider" on it?
As I said in my earlier post, I am not arguing whether it is proper to pay a provider with an envelope or not. My argument is with the idea that having cash in an envelope is somehow bad!

Sometimes it is a convenient way to carry cash.

As Bostonguy said below, if you are going to get arrested, you are going to get arrested, and if you are not, you are not. Having cash in an envelope will not make you any more or less likely to get in trouble.

I have received my donation in a variety of ways. I don't have a preference per say. Although I have stated on my website the whole "envelope" deal, that doesn't always happen. I used to think that anything besides that would cause an awkward feeling. I have found that that's not the case at all. I've seen regular envelopes, bank envelopes, greeting cards (one was actually sealed, lol), and plain old folded bills. Of course, if someone asks, I would kindly refer them to my etiquette page on my website. Honestly... you could "make it rain" on top of my head as long as it's the correct amount, lol.

I am.  Some clients put it on the counter when they walk in, some hand it to me in gift bags or books, some leave it in the bathroom when they're freshening up or leaving.

I like the last the best.  Its discreet and isn't distracting to either of us.

I prefer large bills with no envelope. Then, I can quickly see if its at least in the ball park without being rude, and I can just slip it into my pocket or wallet on the way home.

I understand that twenties are what comes out of the ATM, but it really is difficult to keep track and count out more than a couple hundred bucks in twenties in a discrete manner. In those cases, I would prefer an envelope to keep everything together.

The card could be worthless. How would she know it is any good?

All the gift cards have a 1-800 # on the back of them that you can call & confirm the amount on them. BUT, do not pay a lady like this unless you have asked up front, as most of them, you CANNOT get cash off of them.. just use them for purchases(you can't pay rent, for instance, with them, lol). I had ONE person show up once with the donation on a VISA gift card.. without asking. I was not happy, but had already paid for the room, so had to take the appt. I ended up using it for gas & to pay a light bill or something, but they are not welcomed with me.. other ladies may be different.

I have no problem spending them at the grocery store, gas station, etc... and when I deposit them, I've never had a teller even raise a eyebrow.

It was just one possible alternative to cash, but I don't see myself doing that. I always prefer cash because they are accepted everywhere.
