My situation is different, because whenever I host, I stay overnight, so a nice room gets fully appreciated.

In many cities, weekend rates are half of the weekday rates.  Can you do a Friday morning or Monday morning?

I think suites have value.  More space is generally a plus.  I often get suites in NYC and elsewhere.  I'm a high-level elite member with multiple hotel chains.

A nice room will be appreciated by your date and may lead to a better session.  The longer the session, the more the room matters.  With providers at $500+, they may come to only 4-stars and up.  You don't need to book the Ritz or Mandarin, but a Westin, Hilton, or Marriott might be your target.  Most Kimptons are cool.

Feel free to PM me

I am not looking for specific names or locations,  but curious about what sort of places a hobbyist might book for an afternoon meeting.

I suppose anywhere might do, but do you lean more to middle of the road hotels or low end chains?
How about frequency... always a new place or keep going back to the same dependable location.

How about a suite? Is there any point in that?
Most that I have seen have an incall... but I am curious for the possibility. Of course the room is rented until the next morning.  I wouldn't expect to leave the key with my date as my name is on the room & who knows what might go on there after I leave. . Am I out of line with that?
Thanks..

After we'd finished, she offered to let me stay the night in the room. I was driving back home, though, and not staying the night.

As for hotels, a Hyatt or Radisson is about as low as I'd want to go for a meeting. I book cheap motels for myself, but I'd feel sleazy having a woman at one of those rooms.

They are generally clean and in good repair.  Something like a Courtyard by Marriott for example.  I use Priceline and they have a new service where you can get a choice of several hotels for a very good price instead of bidding blindly.

I agree, this was the first thing that came to mind. For a first date (or any subsequent one for that matter) please do not "go cheap" and expect the lady to give you quality service. A lady might be very hesitant or flat out refuse to see you if you book somewhere like a motel. And if you request multiple hours it makes a lady wonder why you cannot afford a decent hotel as well...

I do not know where you are located but here in Florida I book at Courtyards, or any other Marriott branch or higher. I've gotten king and queen rooms and suites for $80 to $100 consistently. You  just have to know where to look. Priceline is a godsend lol and tripadvisor is good for looking at honest reviews of places. Like all other things, you just have to do your homework.

Now if a lady is known to work out of motels, then you could probably get away with booking at one with little to no problem. I just believe in putting in what you want to get out. I would never consider seeing a date in anything lower than a 3star hotel and I would expect to receive the same courtesy in return.

First time I every had to pay up for a place (girl usually had an incall otherwise) was with a with a pornstar who was easily my favorite. And the place was a clean but dumpy Motel6 type, she mentioned it to me cause she 'd been there before. Put up the $69 bucks, no joke, and in we went. The artwork was a movie poster for the movie Nuts, not a porno. The girl was great, just creepy every so often seeing the image of Barbara Streisand staring at me for the poster over the bed. Why, I'll never know. After that, with the PSE adventures use a hotel that doesn't suffer from too much traffic except for convention activities. Freaked me out when I was there at the same time as a first responders. Way too many cop cars. If i was spending a lot of money on the girl, then I can throw down $150 on a nice room and I'll stay the night if I got nothing better to do. If it's a quickie, and the provider doesn't have an incall, something clean, but cheap will do. Just throw a towel over the art work.

If you try to save too much money, she might not even accept the appointment. A nice 3 star or a decent 4 star is fine. Otherwise, you'll be leaning towards sketchy or risking needing a key card for the elevator.

If you're spending a good bit, or a lot of time together, you might as well get something nice. But I'm a girl, you guys might not care about the "atmosphere" as much, lol

"B" movie hooker scenario might be fun.. motel 6, lady dressed in a micro mini with black fish net stockings and nine inch stilettos.. low cut blouse, faux pearl necklace, dyed burgundy hair and smacking a wad of bubble gum when I open the door to let her in... oh, and don't forget the neon sign outside flashing through the curtains...

role play, anyone ?

one answer fits all needs. And I think your scenario is kinda cool. Well played!

upon the circumstances and sometimes even the location. I've booked suites in boutique hotels for extended or overnight dates with "special" friends and for special occasions, and I've struggled to find a decent 3-4 star hotel in a more remote town. For a cool overnight with someone you know well, why not try a B&B? FWIW, I always try to find the best I can given MY budget and tastes... and I don't mind looking for a few minutes on Hotels.com for a good deal.

I think any of the routine "business-class" hotels could suffice for a shorter, more "routine" date.

that you describe the places you definitely would NOT consider visiting for outcall. Seriously, is Motel 6 out even in the "B-Movie Hooker" fantasy scenario? Does it depend? On what?

Personally my two main requirements are that the place is clean and in a safe area.  I have been to Motel 6 type places and I'm okay with it, but I am more comfortable in a more upscale environment.  I tend to have sexier sessions in nicer places.  :)

I just have been curious..

Last week I giot a suite at a nice place and we ended up at the providers home after a nice dinner.. .. so that was a waste..  but I still enjoyed myself a lot..

I can't imagine getting a cheapcheapplace.. but the Hampton Inn chain.. sure.. they're nice.... also leaving the girl with the key when I have to go home.. ?

later that night or in the morning while she is seeing someone else, you have contributed to her illegal business by providing the room.

Also, if it is a hotel with room service and your cc is on the room for incidentals, how big will the bill be?  Can we say a room service dinner for her late evening date.
