Obviously NOT me in photo.  Still illustrates my point. No need to attack my business, seriously.

OK, so I know that only ONE person has been cured of H.I.V. that the medical community knows of, but a cure for everyone is not that far off.

With the invention of birth control, women became more sexually active.  The "sexual revolution" in the 1960's was a direct result of "the pill."

With the onset of A.I.D.s and H.I.V. in the late 1970's and early 1980's, "safe sex" became the new motto and no sane person would have "unprotected sex" with someone they were not monogamous with.  Condoms became the norm and anyone not using them was considered risky.

But, what do you think the future holds for both professional sex workers and civies?

Do you think with the cure of HIV more people will go bareback?

I understand there is still Herpes and a new strand of antibiotic resistant gonorrhea, but most other STDs can be cured with a shot and HIV was the only death sentence.

As with any advancement in medicine there will always be those who cannot or will not have access to treatment.  Soooo, while this is promising news IMHO Aids will not be wiped out, just treatable to those who can afford it or lucky enough to live in a country that has the resources to provide it.  Face it, we have the knowledge and capability to feed the world but we don't...

As to BBFS, no thanks.  I'm not just having sex with the lovely provider, I'm also having sex with everyone before me.  I will give a BIG shout out for female condoms.  They're great and as close to bareback as possible with protection.  It's a shame more providers don't offer them.  Hint, hint!

I think with or without a cure that unprotected sex has been on the rise for a few years. One can't argue the fact that the more "Taboo" something becomes human nature and curiosity makes us want to do the forbidden....plus the fact that it feels so much better to go "Au- Naturale"! I do think once word circulates and more proof is given regarding a cure that it will lead to more freedom allowed by providers and more guys asking for BBFS.

May I ask what you women feel about allowing BBFS if you know it no longer has the possibility of a death sentence attached?

There are other things I don't want to catch, even if there are shots for it. And if it does relax condom use....there will be a few kids born to hobbyists. And don't think some ladies are beneath keeping a little bit of "you" for that dna match.

Another child might be a little much for the wife to understand. When one issue leaves, another shows up.

While I fully agree with you on why condoms should always be used, there is a growing majority that is providing and asking for BBFS. I do believe that all things cycle back and forth and do think we are currently starting to experience a more "Sexually relaxed" time. While most of us would like to think we play safe all the time there are exceptions and most all of us are guilty of bending the rules a bit...including me!

I know we all want to feel we are responsible, we would never risk taking that chance but fact is that most of us (lets be truthful) have experienced that once in a lifetime "heat of the moment" lack of judgment. Maybe we (provider/client) just clicked incredibly well, maybe we let our guard down for just a moment or maybe we planned it, but I think if we have been doing this long enough many of us have done the unspeakable BBFS. Chances are in our favor that we won't catch a thing, especially if its a rare occurrence with a single partner, your probably at more risk of being a Daddy then catching an STD. Of course we could argue the risks for days, thats not what Im looking to do here, all I am saying is that most of us (me included) have taken that risk, fully enjoyed the fruits and then act as if its a dirty little sin!

I do not actively look for, ask for or seek out Providers that offer BBFS or will I in the future as I do feel there are so many other issues other then HIV or Aids that could screw my life and the providers life up for just 10 minutes of bare pleasure! But I will not stand on a pedestal spouting off at the folks who choose to provide or engage in that sort of thing, I have done it, enjoyed it and most likely somewhere down the line will most likely engage again in it...Am I any better then the guys who seek it out...No I dont think so!

Stepping off my pedestal..

Speak for yourself. I have been providing for 8 years, & have NEVER had a "moment of passion" that led to me forgo protection. Heat of the moment or not, this is still a business first, & if you can't keep your wits about yourself, then you need to re-think your position. Play unprotected enough times, and you WILL eventually contract something... whether it be something that can be treated with a course of antibiotics(gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc.), or something you are stuck with for life(herpes, HPV, etc). Some people are infected NOW with something, & don't have a clue, as they don't go to the doctor unless they feel something is wrong.

Sorry, but BBFS should be reserved for those that are in a monogamous relationship, or those that are just plain stupid and irresponsible.

OK bad choice of words, what  I should of said is many of us have fallen victim to the passion of the moment lapse in better judgment (NOT ALL OF US)!! Sorry to have offended you to include you in our group of "stupid and ignorant" people......BTW- A better term for being "stupid and ignorant" might be "Human" we all have been known from time to time to use poor judgment (me included). Again Im not saying you have ever used poor judgment just being very general in my statements!

I know guys in the hobby who have NEVER had unprotected sex in their lives, because they have never had a gf. I can't say I have never done bbfs with a civie guy because I do have a child, but I can say that I have never done it with some guy who paid me by the damn hour. I have said this a million times, that we are to protect ourselves. That means if the entire hobby world wants to engage in BBFS, the only way we can stay safe is to do EVERYTHING covered, or stfu. I don't do everything covered, so if I catch something, I have no one to blame but MYSELF. Same goes for anyone else putting their lives and health in someone else's hands, mouth, vagina.

YES YES YES...Well said London! You hit the nail on the head, certainly BBFS is one thing, and MOST who understand not only the risks but the specialness (word??) of giving that out will not allow it with a paid client! But with that being said, doing ANYTHING bare is a risk ANYTHING! So no matter how much all of us think we are safe...if we choose to partake in this business we are all at risk, and for that matter even using a condom does not exempt you from catching an STD or getting pregnant...sure it greatly limits the risk but it will not stop it fully! But for that matter anything we do in life 24 hours a day is a risk to our health and well being, we don't live in a sterile bubble do we?

I get a laugh out of the folks who preach safety first, then read about there DFK, DATY, BBBJ and or rimming.....But god forbid they do BBFS!!!! Please give it a break! Im not condoning BBFS at all and I do not seek it nor partake as standard practice, but I am not going to preach about my beliefs as I have had BBFS with a provider so I guess Im destined to rot in hell!!  LOL

are in the growing majority? Did you really mean "majority" or did you walk back those comments with your next post or just exaggerate maybe?

I do believe that BBFS is becoming more common...bad choice of words in the wrong context though. I was not saying the majority of people are now doing it or providing BBFS, that was said in error. What I meant is that I feel that there are more who are either seeking it or providing it, its not the majority as a total...sorry for the confusion! BTW its just my opinion and not based on any facts I have!

Do you really now want to perform DATY knowing that the previous customer deposited his full load of semen in the vagina that you are now eating out?

Sounds sick and nasty to me!

Reading this thread reminds me why I so admire London. Keep it going woman.

The efficacy of pharmaceuticals can vary dramatically from one person to the next, and since HIV/Aids can be a death sentence, the majority of people will still use condoms, imo.

I am an RN. I have 30+ years health care experience in a variety of positions. I worked for 7 years in a microbiology lab, 3 of them under a world-famous molecular biologist who was doing research on HIV back in the 80s.  Much of my opinion about HIV is based on his research and opinions. He was the one who demonstrated to me how fragile the virus really is, and that it is much more difficult to contract than most people think. He always told me that he was confident of a cure, though it has taken 20 years. Anyway, though I'm bragging about my experience, I'm not trying to say that my opinion is more valuable than the next guys, I'm just saying that it is based on something.

My previous statement has nothing to do with what the majority may decide to do. I'm just saying that if the fear of HIV is removed, I will not use condoms ever again.

Oh, by the way, cures certainly do exist - are you kidding? Smallpox, Malaria, Polio, Diptheria, Typhoid, Tetanus, H Flu, Measles and Chicken Pox.... to name a few.

bluepillman870 reads

That whatever you do, you will be fine by taking this pill or that needle. When the "cure" for AIDS is announced, there will not be a single reputable doctor in the world who will guarantee the "cure" will work for everyone.

Working for "most" wouldnt be good enough for me. And immediatley after they did find a cure, how long would you wait to be sure, proof positive, the scientific communtity was right? You gonna be the guinea pig and go bbfs just months/years after that announcement? Good luck with that. We all know the scientific community has never been wrong before. Remember they use to think cold weather caused sickness? The were wrong.

The other issue is pregnancy. Are you going to trust an escort when she tells you she's on the pill? You want to be tied up with that situation? No thanks. I'll keep using rubs. For many reasons.

The fucking OP asked if we would continue  to use condoms and I fucking said I would not. I didn't say that other people shouldn't, and obviously I would only forgo them with a partner who felt the same way.

Go fucking argue with somebody else.

Unlike smallpox, measles, polio, etc. this virus (or actually viral strains) are very different from all the ones you mentioned. None of the others are retro-viruses. They attack the host cells completely differently. Yes, HIV virus is very fragile on exposure to air; that is why if there are not cuts/sores on genitals it is not easily passed via BBBJ. Semen into the vagina as well as anal sex can pass it into the blood where it will replicate at will, especially if the host is immunnocompromised. No vaccine or drug is 100% effective. Look at MRSA (drug resistant bacteria partly caused by over prescription of antibiotics). If the population abondons safe sex then some virus will always survive, and resistant strains will mutate and create a new epidemic. I personally would not abandon condoms outside of a monogamous relationship.
BTW - I worked in a BSL3 lab in the '90's developing diagnostic test kits for testing donated blood for HIV and Hepatitis. Fortunatly, I've had my Hep vaccinations, which is a far more easily contracted and HIV.

and I don't understand the angry face. Are you angry at me for expressing my opinion?

I answered the OP who wanted to know if we would stop using condoms if there was a cure for HIV. I said I would. I DIDN'T say that everybody should, I didn't say that unprotected sex was risk-free, and I didn't try to argue down anybody who disagreed with me. i presented my background simply to say that I am not a grocery-bagger with no medical background expressing opinions about medical subjects and I SPECIFICALLY said that I wasn't trying to present my background as meaning that my opinion held more weight than anyone elses.

Your post is all over the place and doesn't jive as a counter to mine. Nowhere in my second post did I say that "cures" were 100% effective. Nowhere in my post did I say that polio, smallpox, et al were the same as HIV - the other responder said there were no cures, and I said there were lots of cures.

What is this statement all about "If the population abondons safe sex then some virus will always survive, and resistant strains will mutate and create a new epidemic" Gibberish. Resistant strains? Resistant to what? Virus will survive if the pop abandons safe sex? They survive when you PRACTICE safe sex. Safe sex has nothing to do with virus mutation.

The only statement you make that makes sense and relates to the discussion is "I personally would not abandon condoms outside of a monogamous relationship." Good for you, that answers the OP question.
But as always, that's not enough for you. It's not enough to have an opinion, you have to try to shoot down anybody who has a different opinion. You've decided, like many others, that the guys who wear the condoms are the good guys, and the guys who don't are the bad guys. You are so fond of pointing out that "no vaccine or drug is 100% effective". Are condoms 100% effective? Huh, I see. So you are taking risks, but you are wearing the condom, so you are the good guy. I'm taking more risk by not wearing the condom, so I'm the bad guy. In other words, you are taking the CORRECT amount of risk, and anybody who takes MORE risk than you is an idiot. Gotcha. I have an idea, why don't you practice abstinence, or monogamous intercourse with a single. 100% trustworthy partner? What's that, she doesn't exist? Ok, abstinence it is.

maybe that's just the way of the universe, to keep everything in check.
What a shame though, a cursory study of endocrinology reveals how much more fulfilling sex is for both partners, when it is done bareback to completion, but that only works correctly when all those feelings get involved.
It's fun to play around, no doubt, but the civvies still have their rightful place.

With more proof. The guys will start to insist on it and there will be a large contingent of ladies that will comply. Remove the death sentence and people will be okay with a shot here and there.

Sad but probably true.  The thing is that you never know what will be the next "death sentence" and would you be willing to take a chance on that?  Before HIV, no one imagined such a thing.  Now we all should know better!

Some ladies will let anything in them, but many use condoms for so much more than STD and Pregnancy prevention....we use them because this is a business, and I am not going to offer certain things to clients. BBFS, Rimming, and swallowing are just a few things that are reserved for my future husband bwahahhaaha. I don't feel the need to offer up my vagina unprotected to married men...sorry, but those are the breaks. When you put a ring on my finger, buy me a new house (paid in full), and pay back my student loans, you can fk me without a condom, and cream pie as much as you like. Until that happens, I insist on condoms for sex.

It took long enough before I got an opening to post a photo. LOL.

the outside, it appears you have stooped so low (maybe b/c biz is slow) to post a threAD on the general board. Just telling you the honest truth, but you can feel free to take or leave it. namaste

Obviously NOT me in photo.  Still illustrates my point. No need to attack my business, seriously.

Yes, that photo is much better.

The general board is about discussion, not pushing one's biz whether you think you are or not.

Many of us make it a point to keep this board a discussion one, never advertising, even using aliases to show that we want the men to know we're actually trying to partake, not posting images of ourselves to "advertise" or whatever you want to call it.

I'm just being honest, b/c most others won't, they'll just post comments about threADs but we all know they're talking about you. Or maybe they'll just report it to admin.

And yea some guys will like it. Others might think it's desperate of a HDH. Take the advice/comment or leave it..........

that has most guys Laughing their asses off on TER. Now, on that "other board" plenty of saps, who are easily manipulated with that bs, but not many here. Sorry, girl...just aint happening. When your looks and sexual skill don't get you the money, the rest is pretty much bs. I like the pic...bring it! But, I do find it funny how so many acclaimed degreed professionals, can show so much of their faces on hooker boards. I am far from "Intelligent" but I am "educated" and there is no way in hell I would toss the last 10 years of school with a face shot on a fk board.

You sell your p*ssy, nothing else, so don't bother using an alias. I did not say "I" was laughing, I said the boys were...ooops. I can't help what people find amusing, but yep..it's kind of funny. Sorry.

FYI, I am the last person to be bitchy towards other women, so you may want to read up before you talk out of your ass. You see me spar with the guys here, hardly ever women because most don't have the BALLS to post unless they use an alias...like you. Next...

I wish I could "LIKE" this post more than once....

XO,
KH

If anyone is laughing at my heartache, then they don't understand how I feel.  I don't do hourly dates, I do long multi-day trips with men.  And yes, sometime, after spending day and night with someone you truly "click" with, it is sad to say good-bye.  I have cried in the cab on the way to the airport talking to my roommate about what an AMAZING time I had and how wonderful the man I just spent 3-4 days with was.  I have also witnessed my clients' tears when they hug me for the last time until they can get away again to see me.

I have one client that balls in my arms before I have to say good-bye and head to the airport.  I don't laugh at him.  He is a great man and has a horrible home life.  You would cry too (not just you, London, but many of the men here) if you were in his shoes having to leave paradise to a dysfunctional home life.

So, yes, I have shed a few tears for the men I have spent days of bliss with because sometime you never want it to end.

If that makes me a LAUGHING STOCK so be it.  I can't help how I feel.  I can't help being touched emotionally.  I have empathy and sympathy and I care, I REALLY DO CARE, about the men I see.  They are not walking ATMs, they are human beings.

As for the photo, I didn't show my face, It is blurred.  But, since when do you jump all over girls that do not blur and do show their face?

Your mother, father, and even child would recognize that photo if they saw it honey...so would any future employer, so though I don't care what you choose to do or post on the net, it simply does not line up with the life you claim to lead outside of hooker world. That is the only issue. Women who show their faces usually flat out say, "I don't care if the world knows I am an escort...I love what I do, and am not ashamed." Women who have a lot to lose, don't risk it by broadcasting they are escorts, and that's just a fact. I am the one who said pictures were cool on the GD, so wtf. Post away.

I guess folks who enjoy playing russian roulette will stop using them.

There's already enough risk being in the hobby.. I say keep using condoms to lower your risk.

using condoms with professional and civie encounters alike.
Good question.

One child, not showing symptoms for 18 months or so is NOT a cure. True the virus only shows up in her blood stream in fragments (meaning the body has destroyed it), however this does not mean a cure. This baby began to recieve treatment after she was hours old, for people with AIDS/HIV already established in the body this becomes much harder to fight/cure. Only one adult person has ever been cured, and he recieved a bone marrow transplant esentially giving him a whole new immune system. I think that this will provide new insight into the battle of AIDS/HIV but the cure for this is still a long way off. That being said, to answer your question: I think that BBFS is on the rise as mentioned earlier, and will only increase untill NGO health groups begin spreading the word about safe sex.

but there were TWO men cured around the same time, one age 46 and one in his twenties, both had been infected for over 20 years (the younger guy, since birth).

You must not be married....lol

I fear we are still a long ways from a cure for HIV.  The great news concerning an innocent baby is indeed wonderful.  But it in no way means we've found the magic bullet.

I am happy for the child and family. But there have been other cases and claims of the virus simply disappearing. No one really knows why.
There is no known drug that prevents contracting HIV and millons of people still suffer. Those who have access to the very best of care are prolonging their lives. But they still carry the virus. And many still suffer.

Of course if there was a vacine that protected us from any & all STDs including HIV the vast majority of us would prefer condomless encounters.  But that is simply not gonna happen in our lifetimes.

Be safe my friends

In no way am I advocating BBFS.  I don't have BBFS with anyone and until I'm married and/or monogamous I won't even once the cure is mainstream.

I have always seen the future in two different dichotomies.  (And by future, I'm talking hundreds or thousands of years from now).  In one future, disease has won and we all live in plastic bubbles and wear plastic suits not to catch anything from each other.  In the other future, medicine has won and there is no more disease and we have no worries of catching anything.

I know reality is probably somewhere in between, but I am excited with the results this toddler is showing!!!

Ahhhhhh yes!! There you have it! Bottom line girls is none of us are ever truly safe....I think the only true way to fight the evil STD plague is to not have intimacy with anyone, live in a bubble and never have a relationship....there you go! The answer to our quest!

Your grand dreams of finding Mr Right, who will be "Ultra Clean" and faithful to only you has been ruined all in one swift tap of the keyboard! Fact is that your "Special" man, the one you give the Golden ticket to could be the one who makes Rome fall in one swift slap in the face....So much for all the safety concerns!! Bottom line is that if you engage in sex your at risk, even if you only have ever sucked one dick in your whole life, your at risk!

OK OK  A bit over dramatic yes, if you only gave one BJ your whole life and caught something vulgar then I would have to say you are the unluckiest person in the whole world!!!

Best you lock him in a cage, wrap him in cellophane and pipe in pure oxygen too....Hmmm that sounds kinky!!  Whats your rate for that service??  LMAO  (Joke)

that is there were no STDs, most people would fuck like rabbits without condoms.

What if the rest of the market decides to move to BBFS and you have to lower your rates to $$ or $ like CBJ providers have to?

Of course this all depends on the cure? Is it easy? Just a pill? Personally, I would not consider BBFS unless there was no HIV at all (meaning risks are similar to BBBJ).

First, there is no cure yet. Second, and this is the important one, there is no vaccine. Let's say they do find a cure of sorts, but no vaccine. Think anyone is going to want to expose themselves to it? Third, the industry is NOT going to move to BBFS even if they do find a cure for HIV. Again, no vaccine. Forgetting all the other STDs out there of course that we still don't want to catch.

Condoms are used to prevent more then the spread of HIV...

Plenty of other diseases out there to catch.

So, before HIV and AIDS condoms were used a hell of a lot less than AFTER the disease.  IF, HIV was ELIMINATED, I would think it would decrease condom wearing.  Not to the extent of BEFORE HIV, but still less.

A lot like the seat belt laws.  In the '70s, seat belts were rare and kids didn't have car seats.  If, for some strange reason, the law disappeared; more people would stop wearing seat belts.  But again, I don't think it would revert back to "pre-seat belt law" numbers.

I have been offered BBFS numerous times, but have always turned it down. One lovely lady actually got upset, asking "Don't you trust me?"

I managed to sidestep the question, but an honest answer would have been "NO". Daddy warned me about you women, and I'm not stupid enough to be another John Edwards or Ahnold .... LOL.

If only all the clients were that smart.  But alas, we've all read numerous posts by idiots wondering why some backpage gals are not using their own photos...

Question was asked what would I do if I had to lower prices or go BBFS because everyone else is ... I would quit this and go back to Computer Programming. I would just go ahead and start my own internet business utilizing my degree. I enjoy programming, but I enjoy this more... and the amount of money needed to start it up, is quite a lot, for what I want to do. It is in my future, but not for awhile.

BBFS would be past the boundaries of what I am willing to do, even if no STDs, HIV, or Pregnancy.
