TER General Board

Is there a way to reduce these?

Before a new review gets posted TER sends a note to the lady asking whether she saw Player X. Lady either confirms or denies. Note that I am ABSOLUTELY NOT suggesting a lady get to preview her reviews;  just to confirm that she really saw the client seeking to post a new review.  It won't solve the entire problem but I imagine it would cut down on fake reviews through rebuttal and deterrence.  Just a thought.

This whole review system seems to be getting worse. Is it really difficult to afford the $30 per month or is it just fun to write things?

I thought about posting on the NY board but it's Sunday, might as well beat an old topic to death. In the last couple of weeks I've read about how I did anal (which I didn't), I've corresponded with another lady because she received a fake review from a person and she noticed I was also on his review list, and this morning I read a review about myself where the general details are almost word for word what my very first review said!

That coupled with an ad I came across last week makes me think it's getting worse.

Ok, off to drink margaritas

I agree & just posted about this on my local board too!  The reviews now appear to be untrustworthy & very unfortunate.  I guess that is why they refer to them as fantasy reviews.

#15. "We consider all reviews to be fictional stories that are posted by TER solely for entertainment purposes."
http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/submitReview.asp

I'd like to know WHY TER disallows any literary license in the writing of reviews. If one strays from the accepted format/formula by adding ANYTHING remotely creative or fictional in the setting, plot or circumstances the review is summarily rejected and the tired "She met me at the door wearing...,We talked on her couch....went to the bedroom....she did x - y- and z.....she wasn't a clock watcher, and I will/won't see her again" is demanded for its "approval".

If the reviews are considered "Fiction" then why is only a strict journalistic/chronological style allowed?

I'm not saying there was anything you did wrong.

He may have thought that your profile was vulnerable for some reason, although I don't really believe this applies here because you check ter often.

Again sorry to hear this. It sounds like you should spend a little time refuting the obvious repeat offenders so they get flagged.

sometimes end up choosing wrong gals. Ones who are active on the board are more likely than not to keep close eye on their reviews.

Reminds me of a story I read in school, growing up, of a thief who decides he wants to steal something and ends up choosing house of a cop. lol....

constantly!!!!

Gals need to put on their websites services they provide and don't provide.  Forget about LE viewing your website (proper screening takes care of that).

And most importantly put it out on the local boards when you get a fake review.

Fake reviews lead to problems for everyone except the fake reviewer.

Yes, the system is clearly imperfect and some will bear the brunt.

However, your suggestion would shut down the new review engine to a crawl.

Not only ladies taking time to preview the reviews but,  likely, from a longer delay from those reviews that would go into dispute.

Ter is at 5000+ reviews over a 14 d window. That's over 350/day.

Ter is obviously willing to tolerate a little error on the frontend to achieve this throughput.

Providers are expected to police their own shit on the back end ( no pun intended, Cosette).

If there are only a handful of fakes in hundreds filed every day the fix would be too costly.  In which case RT is correct that the ladies have to be diligent about protecting their profiles.

I honestly don't understand the phenomenon of fake reviews, nor do I understand the private networks that sometimes exist within the TER community.  I have never felt like one of the cool kids....

Don't you think that the VIP credits that a reviewer gets is one reason for phoney reviews. Also when the race was on for the one millionth review and a life time VIP status I saw some fake reviews that were almost word for word to others that were posted during that period.

Most hookers bitch about a review they disagree with. Get over it. Dickheads who write fake reviews have that doo-doo bite 'em in the tuckus at some point.

"Well, I used to love her, but I had to kill her"

O......mg who cares
S......sorry you're so controlling
P......Psychological intervention may be necessary :)

Just because Cosette went off to have some margaritas doesn't mean you have to one up her and down a bottle of tequila...

Wtf?
Do I have to spell that out?

I'm back a month and already accumulated a fake review - which never happened once during my previous (and lengthy) incarnation!  I guess the poster thought I wouldn't object to a positive review, but I was seriously peeved that he selected me for this bullshit and asked TER to take it down.  Which they did today.  (Thank you, TER.)

FYI, the fake review was submitted under the handle "favlatin".

- MM(argaritas!

I have had a handful of fakes, but I was also in business for six years. You have not even been around a year, and already you have posted about at least 3 or 4 fake reviews. Odd.

This makes me think of that EOM thread.
I notice most providers who post EOM get read more than anyone else.
I would guess this is because some guys read the profile of every girl who posts here.
So. The more she posts. The more creepies will read her profile, and be a pain in the ass.

That sucks for the women here. Sorry guys do that.
I see why some use an alias now
