I was just watching the movie "Call Me" and it made me wonder if there are any agencies like Heidi's was? I mean high profile and high volume at the same time? At some point she had 300 girls... Does anyone in LA, NY or elsewhere have that kind of business going?

When Heidi and her counterparts were spreading the love and raking in the cash, they didn't have computer interaction like we do now. Plus with websites like TER, the escort industry is becoming more and more mainstream. Pretty soon, even politicians will no longer have to bend over backwards to satisfy their Holy Roller constituents whenever they get horny for some strange.

The courtesan was always looked upon with respect and admiration goimg back hundreds of years. It wasn't until the pervasive and restrictive ideaologies of sexually repressive religious demagogues reared their ugly heads like a poisonous hydra that escorts/courtesans/sex workers started getting the raw and unfair treatment, most notably here in the nascent United States.

Even today, there is a large segment of the population, almost all of them preaching religion of one sort or another and claiming to speak in the name of GAWD-uh who would tell you that sex is only for the purpose of pro-creation. Anyone here NOT think that mindset is bullshit on a platter?

Bottom line, there are plenty of high profile agencies today who cater to high dollar clientele with a high volume of business.

This business will exist as long as men desire sex.  The  internet has changed this business, but not the reason the business exist.  Every time a "prostitution ring" get exposed and shut down, another will move in to fill the demand.
