Question for the hobbyists :  for those unencumbered with family responsibilities, and even those desperados who are but like to live dangerously, do you even plan a vacation with an eye toward hobbying possibilities?

Tomorrow it's off to the Newport Folk Fest with a nice cutie.

Newport is a wonderful town in the summer.

Hey, if our forefathers could stand that fiddle and banjo crap, I suppose I can stand a few hours of it too.  8o)

Plus for the first time in a long time, beer and wine is available!

You had to wait in a mile long line to get a wrist band to prove that you are 21 or over; then stand in a two mile long line to get the beer.

You could have walked back to Newport and gotten a six pack then hiked back in less time.

Not only do I have "an eye towards ...", but I deliberately am planning a golf trip to Myrtle Beach with the specific goals of not only getting wads of decent golf in, but also getting back into the hobby. Hmmm … maybe I have those goals backwards?
