a respondent on the NY board recently said that she got hasseled at a hotel because the manager recognized her from her site where her face was visible.  Now she blurs her image.

In a way she got off easy.

My question is:  Has any provider who shows their face (roughly half of all providers, I'd say) ever had a serious situation develop where a boss or family member has found out and caused serious embarrassment or worse?

I am just curious as to how risky it is to have your face out there.

Agree with Thruster - I am too ugly, this is as far as I would go.

Personally, I have never had a problem with people recognizing me that shouldn't. I do show my face but my friends/S.O. know about me and I have no children.

Most of my friends who have hid their face or blurred it did so not out of hiding anything, but to lessen the chance of an employer finding out about them or having an ackward encounter at the local ballgame/PTA Meeting, etc.
