Is it a good or a bad nervous?

I get nervous too, but it's a good nervous. I get butterflies, and feel excited about meeting someone new. With gents I see regularly, it is all good anticipatory nervousness. I love the feeling!

I remember when I was young (at the age of 25)  how nervous I was when I met a provider. My heart was bouncing, my stomach, well I dont' want to go into details..... And now 30 years later it is stil more or less the same. Sure less somehow less nervous but still enough. I sometimes wonder if this never changes. Am I alone with that feeling. And how about the provider. Are you nervous to see a hobbiest, especially when you meet him the first time?

I've done my homework and usually am seeing someone a buddy has recommended.  So I know it's going to be good, just not the specifics.  Then I open the door.  Last time, she was even better than I'd expected.  Great time.  I've been lucky because it's usually like this.

and profuse diarrhea upon entering her incall.

after that, I am OK.

There are times a guy can be screened in every way possible and that last 2 min. before he arrives you get this feeling in the pit of your stomach, that something is not right. Most of the times, it was just nervous tension or paranoia, but there were times I had to cancel. For the most part, I am not nervous about meeting a guy alone. I am actually more nervous performing in front of a group of people, so I don't do it.

Even with screening, sometimes you just never know.

When I talk to the guy a lot beforehand, it reassures me that he'll be nice. I do like a reason to look forward to the appt other than the $$.

But I thought (from reading many of the posts here) that all the providers care about is the money, don't care if the guy is nice, and don't look forward to anything. I had the impression that providers were all nihilists. ;)

you look forward to going to work more if you really like your co-workers.

Some providers have a "get 'em in, get 'em off, get 'em out" approach and will deal with assholes...I personally can't. And that does affect my income somewhat. But I'd rather surround myself with positive people and not do things that make me feel negative. I also think that having a genuinely positive interaction will make the experience better for both parties.

In "My Dinner with Andre"  Wallace Shawn is down on himself for being shy, especially around new people.  Andre responds that its not a failing, since meeting a new person is basically meeting a large and quite dangerous primate.

The way I look at it, when I stop being kind of restless and distracted during the half hour before a lovely young lady shows up at my hotel room door, it will be time to retire from the hobby. It doesn't seem to matter whether I am seeing a new provider or one I have seen a couple dozen times, the feeling is still there.

As a couple of posters have noted, it's a good kind of nervous, mostly anticipation.

Even when I'm seeing a woman I've met with before. It's kind of a rush too. I've been very lucky so far though.
