Two main points from the article: 1) It's co-sponsored by four female legislators. 2) It draws a clear distinction between consensual adult behavior and everything else. IMHO, this certainly bears watching because if it passes in Vermont it could become a model for other states. Posting this in General Discussion, not P&R, because it seems to me to have broader implications for the acceptance of sex work and individual liberty in the US.
This would be a major breakthrough. The fact that it’s a New England state rather than a cowboy state like Montana gives it more cred and forces other states that consider themselves “progressive” to take a look at it if it passes in Vermont.
