If you are on Ashley Madison, one can assume you are married looking for an extramarital affair. This comes with two downfalls.

1. A lot of people do not want to be involved with married men/women (even some of the married ones), so your options are limited.

2. You have something to lose so you need someone who will either keep your secret and/or not ask you to leave your spouse.

Also, as with a lot of online dating sites, people will misrepresent themselves (and no reviews to check them out). Or they seem good to go, but at the last minute flake. I think escorts entering this arena do so because it's an obvious opportunity. Now I've never used Ashley Madison, but I have used other "dating" sites, to find clients, many of whom post here.  

It's like this  - most likely a guy on a site like Ashley Madison who makes it clear he does not want to leave his wife is looking for something sexually stimulating, discreet, convenient and not permanent sounds like a man looking for an escort. Now after a long line of rejections, women flaking out, or whatever, an escort might not seem so crazy to a man sexually frustrated, and disappointed. Especially if he and this woman have chatted online, exchanged photos and gotten to know each other. In his mind he might just be "helping her out." Also, because of the unorthodox connection, these "clients" tend to be more regular and loyal with an added benefit of friendship. An ideal client.

Hey, this is America - and whatever your product, if you can convince someone to pay for it, then more power to you. People pay billions a day for water in America when you can turn a faucet and get it for a fraction of a fraction of the price. Doesn't make clear sense, but most see nothing wrong with it.

I'd concur that most of the ladies on AM are thinly disguised providers, ex-providers, providers UTR, and a few desperate housewives in between. The worst of the bunch are 20 somethings looking for suckers to hand out outlandish sums to get laid when and if she says so (notice I didn't say wants). Your odds for meeting married women looking for extra curricular activities increases in grocery stores and believe it or not church. Most guys don't have the balls to ask. I got on the site for giggles and had made up this profile and picture (all bogus) and had 45 hits in the first two days. Based on my profile I had one cutey (assuming it was a true picture) ask for 15K a month, the use of a credit card, and to co-sign on a BMW). I had her going for two weeks and right before my membership expired, I told her she was full of shit. That said, it was interesting to see the site and to hear some of the offers/requests, but I'll just pay as I go. Economically, it makes more sense than dating civvies and its a lot less hassle to pay them to go away.

as a paying member last year and it was a total waste of time. If there had been some hot providers, that might have made it interesting. But every message I got was from a middle-aged house frau that I wouldn't fuck with your dick. The few girls who were young and hot were either fake ads or clearly looking for a sugar daddy relationship. If I'm gonna pay, I'd rather pay by the hour. So, yeah, cancelled that membership.
