TER General Board

Guys and girls, please help me understand

Back when I was assembling my "bucket list" of ladies I would like to see I did the normal TER ranking of ladies to see who appealed to me most.  I did it for Orlando, Tampa, and Miami.

I set up the limits for a minimum of 5 reviews, good web sites, accurate pictures, no TS, and no limits regarding age or race.  I then looked at their most recent page to see how that compared with this total average.  I wanted to see if the lady was getting better or going the other direction.

I saw some typical patterns.  There were ladies who were relatively new in the business (6 - 8 months or less) who had increases in both appearance and performance on their more recent reviews.

I attributed the performance change to two things.  The first was perhaps she was becoming more comfortable and experienced in the profession and was better able to share that comfort with the guy.

The second was a change in services offered.  As an example, it seems there are quite a few ladies who first began only offering CBJ, then progressed to BBBJ, then progressed to BBBJCIM.  One would expect an increase in performance level due to this change.

When it came to appearance number improvements, I thought perhaps that had to do with the "packaging".  The more successful the lady became, the more available funds and attention could be paid to the details of her profession.  These would include wardrobe, hair, nails, the quality level of her in call location, and perhaps surgical improvements (breast job, etc.).

Typically of course, the fewer reviews a lady has, the more impact one or two very good or very bad reviews would have on her total average number.  Once she gets into multiple pages of reviews however, these "out of norm" reviews have much less impact.

I came upon one lady however whose numbers seemed significantly outside the statistical norms and I am intrigued by it.

This lady is from Tampa.  She has an average score of 8.85 for all her reviews which is good enough to rank her 7th of all the Tampa ladies.  Now here is where it gets strange in my mind.

This young lady has 25 pages of reviews.  One would expect her average number to be very close to a view of any typical page.  Yet, when I looked at her most recent page, her average on that page of ten reviews is now 9.55 with 14 - 10's.  Those numbers are off the chart.

Can anyone give me some additional insight as to what is she doing differently now that has caused such a drastic improvement, especially with such a large base of numbers?

You have three reviews.  One of them, Sindie, is a 10, which is "One in a lifetime."  Your review is very extensive and definitely supports your score.  Look at Sindie's profile, however.  She has two other 10's for a total of three, and they are all on her front page.  The other three pages range from 7's to 9's.  Now, if you look at the other two reviewers who gave Sindie 10's, one of them has no other reviews and the other has given TEN 10's over his 30 reviews.  No matter how you look at that, it's hard to believe that the guy has a ONE in a lifetime experience with 1/3 of the providers he has seen.

Now, if I was just looking and saw what I just described above - a lady with 4 pages of reviews who just recently broke the 10 mark on the first page three times by one reviewer who seems to hand out 10's like crazy, one reviewer who only has 3 reviews, and one who only has one; I would have basically the same question you just asked in your post.

So, did Sindie change something over time, or did you and the other two just happen to experience something the other 32 guys didn't?  When you look at Ellie's profile (took me a while to find her, please post a link next time), you see about the same kind of pattern as you do with Sindie's. Some of the 10's are truly, like your's with Sindie, a one in a lifetime thing based on the details of the reviews (I checked five of them), and some are inflated for whatever reason (but not nefarious, I would presume).  The bottom line is that you can't do this kind of search based on numbers and averages alone.  Once you do that cut, read the reviews to get a feel for the validity of the numbers.  There are too many variables to try to figure out why there would be such a drastic change during one snapshot in time (given a couple of months, the pattern for Ellie may very well stabilize).

Good luck

You state that your search parameters included a minimum of 5 reviews.   That will help you look at the reviews as Dixie suggests, but in my opinion that is a small sampling of reviews.   When I do a search for the top providers in an area I use 100 reviews.   That gives me a long history and a better point of comparison

If 100 reviews is too many for your area, then go with a lower number, perhaps 50  But in any case I would make sure that the review numbers have been consistent over time, especially recentlhy, and that the descriptions support what you are looking for

you don't HAVE to do Greek:

"In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider may only earn up to a 7, unless she also performs the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, Anal Sex, or More than One Guy. The addition of each offering will raise her score by one point. If your review doesn't already accurately reflect this rating system, we will adjust it."

This is from the review guidelines.  So, any three of the point increaser acts will allow a ten.  I had suggested on the Suggestion board that CIM be allowed as an increaser, but I don't think it was accepted.

Good Luck

An established provider with consistently high reviews might sometimes benefit (I believe) from an effect that could be best summed up as “riding her reputation”. Guys that received pretty much what they expected, but there was one or two things that disappointed, can feel a self inflicted pressure to not mark down the score number because it would be viewed as an “outlier”. I’m not sure what percentage of reviewers are likely affected by this pressure, but I bet some are. I hope it’s few.

You can pick up on this by reading the essay portion. They are the ones where you think to yourself after reading it, “I might not have given such a high number”. One more reason why reading the whole story is so important.

Now, there are some guys that seem to always score “easy”. This is a different effect, but also skews the results.

I'm taking a research design class and we're starting a section on statistical analysis.  I wonder if my professor would let me do a research proposal on "Increased quality of providers over time".

the reviewer does not even have to experience the services himself to up the rating.  The services only have to represent her possible offerings and not actual experiences.  DE himself indicated this on the TER Suggestion board.  So for example even if a guy does not enjoy a lady in a 3-some or enjoy a BBBJ or anal, etc., the fact that the lady does offer these services allows the grade inflation.  Crazy but they be the rules...

"riding her reputation", but with whom?

TER has a one review per guy policy. By the time you get to 25 pages, you have seen most of the experienced hobbyists. This is especially true for ladies that do not tour.

So, all new reviews tend to be with newbies who don't have much to compare her to.

Are you saying that when you pick your numbers for her you do so totally objectively? You can’t remember what the numbers were for all those that came before you? I know you looked. If you are totally objective, then great. More power to you and we all thank you for that.

I would hope that the more experienced hobbyists are also more objective, but I don't think they are all immune from the phenomena.

And then there are plenty newer guys also posting reviews. I think they would be more likely to succumb to the pressure to not be the first guy in a long time to mark her down. When someone gets a string of 10's going, you don't think there are guys out there that don’t want to be one to break the string?

And besides, I didn't say it was wide spread; only that it existed.
