Not thinking so much along the lines of general celebrities, but more like people who've impacted history in some way and for whom there is some evidence of their activities.

Van Gough. Lost his ear as well as his heart

He was a very active hobby'st before he got married.  His first kid, William, was actually the son of he and a provider.  William carried on the tradition with his son Benny, whose mother was a provider in London.  Beeny later became Benjamin's assistant in Paris during the war.  Historians are divided on how much he hobby'd while married, but most believe he remained fairly active, just much more low-key about it.  His wife Deborah died while he was in Paris and his relationships with the girls of Paris and the amount of money he spent on them became legendary.

There is also some evidence that he was the father of his own grandchild who was born to Polly Stevenson who was the 17-year-old daughter of his landlady/mistress in London.

Just about every artist that grace the museum walls.

Every model in paris from 1880's to 1950's was a provider.

"Only the mature artist who works from a model is capable of seeing the body for itself, only he had the opportunity for prolonged viewing."

"It is good for young people to have a model, but they should forego looking at the model while they paint."

What do you think these two guys were saying?

I'm still looking for my muse.
