there are statistics. 50% unshaved/untrimmed? Bet that percentage changes as bikini season approacheth.. LOL
I can't imagine why anyone would bother with the trimming and shaving unless they were a player of some sort. Sad but true, most folks just aren't into the sex thing like we are. Then there are those who find the natural look to their liking anyways, so they don't count.
I probably wouldn't trim and shave unless I was a hobbyist, to be perfectly honest.
I don't think the stat has much meaning, Fish. We just had a thread where some Doc was lamenting the high number of women who shave/trim. We see less pubes at the pool and beach than we would if a little trim was not employed. Not many salons fail to offer waxing services. The list of indicators goes on..
That being said, I think those that are more "active" probably take more regular care to keep the bush at bay.
And I personally prefer a little bush, but I prefer to floss before DATY, not during.
still pretend that none of them has the temerity to engage in sex with a "Pro" for reasons of health, family etc.
It's certainly less up-keep. But just like boobs; If it's so unpopular or unsafe than why is such a large percentage of the 50% that DO shave in a much higher income percentile?

I do not care for bare as that does not look at all sexy to me. Full bush that gets mouthful of hair during DATY is also a problem. Neatly trimmed triangle or landing strip is what I prefer, but if they have closely cropped rim of hair around their lower lips, that's alright too.
Understand the younger crowd going hairless, however the older women civies who I have dated since being single again (over the age of 35) are waxing. I don't get it! I like it trimmed, not hairless
The civvies that I have seen are also trimmed or shaven. I like a little landing strip or shaven. Even if I was NOT sexually active I would trim. It feels cleaner (maybe I'm too OCD).

It all depends on who and where you're asking. I'm sure that if you ask women leaving a beauty spa in Beverly Hills, the number of bare and near bare is going to be quite a bit higher than if you are asking outside a natural foods market in France.
For me, bare or near bare is good because I don't like trying to pick pubes out of my mouth.
Like someone said, being shaved/trimmed has only been the norm since the 60s and 70s. I believe it's somewhat due to porn. Early porn showed women with bushes but producers realized they could get a better shot of the woman's genitalia if she was shaved, so as men started seeing it in porn and expected it, it became the norm. Same with cum shot scenes...Cum shot scenes started as a way for producers to mark the end of a scene now it's all the rage. Funny how today's sexual culture is so affected by porn haha. I prefer trimmed as I hate ingrown hairs and I don't want anyone near my pubic area with hot wax!
Waxing gets easier every time, but I still go in with a cane in case I get flashbacks from my first experience, limping out and shaking like a leaf.
You know, European Wax Center says "walk in, strut out". Not the first time!!! Lol
prefer some trim but favorite is pretty natural area but trimmed to short & soft kitty.

In my experience, most providers are clean shaven, so you shouldn't have any problems if that's important to you. As for me, I have no problems regardless of whether they shave clean, have a landing strip, or don't shave at all...all good in my book...
